Sonnet: Never Give Up In Life

When you can’t do the things you want to do,
And you can’t do in ways your very own,
And time and tide, ill-luck too prevent you,
And despair fills your heart- you should not moan.

When you keep swimming upstream all the time,
In Crocodile infested lake-waters,
Where water-hyacinths abound with slime,
To continue or not, always matters.

When you have climbed half-way uphill quite steep,
And you were told to descend instantly,
And yet, you know summit is within peep,
Do not give up but climb on defiantly.

Sometimes, the world in toto seems our foe;
Yet, hope should drive us forward over woe.
