Sonnet: Life Is A Puppet Dance
Our earthly life is just a puppet-dance!
We’re held by the strings from the hands of God;
Only when He wants, can we look askance;
Our life’s a stage: we’re puppets of clod.
Our every move occurs per divine Will;
God guides us always in our earthly role;
Freedom, we’ve got: He gave us too our skill;
We are His toys: We ought to reach His goal.
God is the unseen One who plays His tune;
We are mere vassals, doing our duty;
Sin is our foe: no man is ev’r immune;
God gives His grace to get Heaven’s beauty.
Our role when over, He will give His call;
Heaven’s wages to men of Goodwill all.
