Sonnet: God’s the Difference!

The stress of work is telling on my health;
The indifference around seems depressing;
The righteous can’t accrue a decent wealth;
The world believes in lies/ truth-suppressing.

The rich grow richer, cheating poorer ones;
The poor turn poorer, exploited by rich;
Society moves by rule of modern guns;
Cricket results depend on ‘ball and pitch’!

The journey for the masses is uphill;
The upright suffer unimaginably;
With time, men lose their body strength and will;
Can good and evil live amicably?

If you won’t help me God, then who else will?
If you don’t heal my soul, I’m always ill!
