Sonnet: The World Needs More Shepherds

The sheep have grown in numbers than before;
Meadows are scarce and shepherds are a dearth;
Much strife and problems knock at every door;
A bloody death awaits unborn at birth!

The world is lured by sinful amusement;
Devils in legions roam the earth for souls;
The youth is victim of much merriment;
Most lose their principles good and prime goals!

The harvest needs more workers to complete;
The Word of God must reach all people’s hearts;
More barns are needed to store up the wheat;
Nature unleashes furies of all sorts!

Christ’s second coming seems at hand and nigh;
More saints and martyrs seem to bravely die!
