Love on Earth

Love’s a moment that hangs in life on earth,
And catches like a cold to vanish soon;
Love’s an intense urge like pangs of hunger
That satisfied a bit or more, is gone.

Love’s a cancer rot defying a cure
That takes a few in its surprising toll!
Love’s a pleasant union of two souls
That goes on quite well, until they depart.

Love’s a miracle answer to prayer,
With grace of heaven raining on who ask;
Love’s a quirk of fate man-made through sheer haste,
Unleashing hell in lives for no one’s fault!

Love’s a frame of mind, a dream quite prolonged,
Becoming real in a span of life;
Love’s a feeling strong, elusive for long,
Remaining so, futile, despite efforts!
