Stromatolites

Shallow sills and sea-grass meadows
channel hyper-saline pools.
Blue-green algae's limestone pillows
still obey Archaean rules.

Planet's first apartment dwellers,
submarine with penthouse suite.
Archives laid in rock lamellas,
remnants from a past elite.
