When It Bites You

The love bug is a funny creature
with no shape or form,
but you know it
when it bites you
because your head goes in a spin
and leaves you never knowing
where you’ve been.
You go weak at the knees
and are putty in its hands.
There is no prevention
and no way to make a stand.
For when the love bug bites you
it really does it hard
and sometimes leaves a scar.
Invisible to the naked eye,
but you know its there
embossed on your heart.
