The Sea, The Sea

The sea, the sea beckons me
with its sirens call.
The lure of its wandering waves,
get a boat and sail with me.

The sea, the sea beckons me
to sail away from home,
to leave all that I love
and with her find a new home.

The sea, the sea with its restless ways
keeps calling out my name.
Saying that sailing with her
will give me fortune and fame.

I am not a sailor
and have no wish to roam.
Sea, oh sea call someone else
and let them answer your call.
