My Kingdom

My kingdom is not the land
on which I stand,
nor any material thing I own.
It is not the air I share,
with friends and family.
My kingdom is simply me
and the person I am inside.
If you hide yourself in my kingdom,
you hide yourself in me
and then I will be your protector
from the outside reality.
