Melancholy Song

A melancholy song plays
reversing the future to the past
along a wasteland
of invisible dotted lines
filled with haunted pits
where no one should ever enter.
From a future full of promise
to a past full of uncertainty
where the weeping willow sways
under a mournful wind
as the melancholy song
drags the past to the future
so misery can rein again.
