Leaving Home

My bags are packed
and I’m leaving home.
My old heart wants to roam.
I don’t know where I am going
and I don’t know how long I’ll be gone
or when I’ll be back again.
There is wanderlust in my soul,
a call I have to answer.
My bags are packed
and I am leaving today.
I will be back when my wanderings are though.
How many days that will be,
is hard to tell, only that I must go.
