California Dreamin’

I remember 1967
the hippies and the summer of love,
flowery clothes
and flowers in your hair.
The wonderful gentle music
that floated in the air everywhere.
Those enduring tunes
that are still pleasing to hear today.
When people flocked to San Francisco
and went California dreamin’ on the way.
A time of peace and love
that sadly we don’t have today.
