This is the challenge of writing. You have to be very emotionally engaged in what you're doing, or it comes out flat. You can't fake your way through this.

Cushions
When my leaders
Sit in the assembly halls,
For legislation,
With fake brains, fake thoughts,
Fake eyes, fake looks,
Fake existence, fake appearance,
Fake education, fake degrees,
They seem to me
Fake, fake beings,
As if
Some one has placed cushions,
On the sofas and chairs;
Cushions stuffed
With rags of worn out jeans
Or old pieces of sacks
Made of jute.

Fake Out In Buenos Aires
Fake out
Fake in
Fake it to me
What is fake?
Fake t.v.
Land of a thousand fake outs
Fake worse than death
In buenos aires
In buenos aires
Fake out
Fake in
Fakers delight
Fake your claim
Fake around the clock
Winner fake all
Three fakes, youre out
In buenos aires
In buenos aires

I did not think that I was angry, but clearly anger was reflected in my writing. I did not think that I had been affected emotionally, but it was clear from my writing that I was still very emotional about the trial some six months after it ended.

Writing Is Like A Diet
It is not easy to write.
Even if one likes it...
Writing is like a challenge.
An obstacle to face.
And when confronted,
To make use of it...
A discipline applied,
Is what it takes!
It is not easy to write.
Even if one likes it.
Those who do may not sleep,
At night.
Or discover they have lost an appetite.
Writing is like a diet.
And accepting it becomes a way of life.
Those who ask how writing is done...
Usually have no idea,
Of what they must overcome.
Some believe writing is nothing but fun.
But those committed...
Know writing is more like a spouse,
That can be quiet as a mouse.
Then at other times a shouting occurs...
Heard from the inside,
With a wish to come out!
Writing is like a diet.
And accepting it becomes a way of life.
It is not easy to write.
Even if one likes it!
Writing is like a challenge.
An obstacle to face.
And when confronted,
To make use of it...
A discipline applied,
Is what it takes!

What's the challenge in writing a novel that few people will read? I'm more than happy writing what I do and have no plans to change that.

I Use To Play Basketball
Do you play basketball?
'I can.
I did.
Why do you ask? '
And...
You live in Connecticut, right?
'Yes.'
I've noticed from your writing,
There is a biting that defies description.
'What has that have to do with my ability to play basketball? '
Just curious.
Your eyes are penetrating.
As if you seek a challenge from me.
'A challenge?
From 'you'?
I said...
I use to play basketball.
In my much younger days.
However...
If I had been prepared for a challenge to play games,
I would have brought along a blindfold.
That's how confident I am of winning.'

Fake World 2
they can say about 'fake world'
know what the contents of someone's brain
share sadness and happiness
spreading hatred and sharpen
manage the trust on someone
be a friend or a close friend who promised
build a sense of affection that are sometimes not possible when thinking
in a fake world
they feel connected emotionally
they each find unique similarities are also differences
they have learned a lot about people and life
they always wait for a greeting from the warm souls
be wise - hopefully it will be the final output

If I'm daring at all, I guess it would be emotionally. I try to keep things interesting for myself and to do things that challenge me.
I Come Alive In Writing
I come alive in writing
Even if the writing means nothing to anyone else-
I come alive in writing
Even if I am totally deluding myself as to its value-
I come alive in writing
Even if at times while writing there is an underlying hopelessness and despair -
I come alive in writing
As if writing is what God has given me to do-
I come alive in writing
As if through it I can truly give to and help others-
I come alive in writing
As if life has meaning through it-
I come alive in writing
Even when I sense the writing is not good or great
As I would wish it to be.

Painful Writing
sonnet #11
painful writing
living can be through introspection
searching for the meaning in my life
yet this does not imply perfection
pleasure versus pain is still in strife
i am in growing and creating
in the making ever unfinished
the writer prevented from writing
life passing by not truly engaged
pain prevents me from writing freely
and then i write to escape the pain
still needed by someone uniquely
for together we have smelt the rain
when there is nothing left to explore
being opens up in death a door

I read your poem
In olden days we would have said
things like an act of grace,
an endeavour noble in intent,
humanity at its most heroic,
the heart speaking,
the soul’s voice
and why not indeed
I read your poem.
I have nothing much to say
and yet everything to say;
writing a poem is all of those
and every real poem is
one great step for humankind in you,
an archaeology of the soul,
a self-exposure,
a challenge
so what I have to offer you
is respect. Pure, real, boundless, known respect;
you’ll read your poem back
and your next will take account of that
better than any comment or advice of mine;
we’re both poets; we both know
that we’re engaged on a cosmic task,
on the kitchen table, and it’s
no less than those images from the Hubble
of nebulae, stars exploding and colliding
and being formed; being formed.

Fake Doctors And Fake Lovers
Fake doctors and fake lovers,
Waa it more to expose your degrees of your love? !
For your cultures are now seen around us,
And like the Red Devils in the land of your muse.
Blues, use, bus, be, sub, sue, us;
Of the fake doctors and the fake lovers!
And like the bones scattered at the mouths of the graves,
But among the rocks i will sit and watch your steps.
