I have an idea that some men are born out of their due place. Accident has cast them amid certain surroundings, but they have always a nostalgia for a home they know not. They are strangers at their birthplace, and the leafy lanes they have known from childhood or the populous streets in which they have played, remain but a place of passage. They may spend their whole lives aliens among their kindred and remain aloof among the only scenes they have ever knows. Perhaps it is this sense of strangeness that sends men far and wide in the search for something permanent, to which they may attach themselves. Perhaps some deep-rooted atavism urges the wanderer back to lands which his ancestors left in the dim beginnings of history. Sometimes a man hits upon a place to which he mysteriously feels that he belongs. Here is the home he sought, and he will settle amid scenes that he has never seen before, among men he has never known, as though they were familiar to him from his birth. Here at last he finds rest.

Home…
Home is where you were born.
Home is where you were raised,
Home is were you grew up,
Home was what had shaped you,
Home is what gave you your foundation
And what help you grow into something amazing,
Home is what you left behind to become something bigger,
Home is what you remember many years after leaving,
Home is what you become missing for,
Home is where you crave to be when you're done with you adventures,
Even thought you left home, for another place,
Home has never left,
It's still there,
On the same old street,
With the same old lawn,
With the same old people,
Just waiting there,
For you and only you,
It is there for you and only you,
Because with out it,
Without a home,
You wouldn't have a place to go back to,
A place was you can call your own..well, home...

Home Sweet Home
There is no other place like Home
The saying goes true in India, America or Rome,
Home is one of the sweetest place
Where one finds peace and solace,
Home is a place where we dwell
A place as sacred as the temple bell,
Just as a bird returns to its nest
We return home to get a little rest,
Wherever we roam in search of enjoyment
We never fail back to come to our pavement,
Its not possible to find a home away from home
The saying goes true in India, America or Rome.

The Place
There is a place
In my heart that still dances
A place in my soul that sings
- And sings, and dances and dances -
A place so deep, so set
A place that even the mundane drudgery
The routine day-to-day
Can not kill
A place so close, so distant
A place that was, and is yet to come
A place where belief originates and lives
The birth place of
The most human humanity
The most divine divinity
A place where
Majesty, mystery and magic still speak
A place of all origins.
Some will not hear it any longer.
But, I still listen...
Waiting... hoping... trusting...believing...
The Place... is real.
It's way out there - it's everywhere...
It is ever within.
This Place... is my place.
It has called to me by name
Since the day of birth,
It's name is simple and profound;
I call him
Jesus.
He calls me
'My child.'
It's to him we go.
It's for us he came.
He is where I belong.
I am always on the Way
To the Place
Where he is.
The Place... home.

My Home
How do I find my way back?
I've strayed too far from home.
I've gone so many places
for so many days.
I've even been to Rome.
I have seen so many sights now.
It seems to me that somehow
that every place I've ever seen
were places in-between
from the place that is my home.
My search for brand new places
and all those other places
never filled the gap
as I crossed the map,
so far from my sweet home.
For I missed the landscape,
the place that I grew up in.
The old familiar faces
were not in the places I've been.
And now I must retrace my steps.
I've searched this world all over.
Too long I've been a rover.
I'll take a trip on back
for I'm on the wrong track.
I wonder what I'll find at my home?
Nothing seems the same now.
Familiarity has changed somehow,
except for the peace I feel around me.
'Cause in my memory I still can see
the place that is my home.

Home
Home alone
A place to be on
Where to find me on phone
I'll be seated by the stone
Home for long
A place to go strong
Where to find me no wrong
I'll be waiting a knock at gong
Home for good
A place to get food
Where to find no trace of rude
I'll be relaxed to manage my mood
_
Home my home
A place to avoid life storm
Where smiles 're always worm
I'll be chatting with brother Tom
Home my fame
A place to hold my name
Where my title find its stem
I'll be standing to rub my shame
Home of peace
A place that none tease
Where respect never miss
I'll be holding your forehead for a kiss
Home best refuge
A place we no grudge
Where care has no judge
I'll be having meals by the fridge
Home is sweetest
A place without evil test
Where, West from East
I'll sing, Home remain the best

Moving II
Back and forth
Taking its meaning to heart
Looking to wanting a place
Where everyone is a stranger
Back and forth
Living makes you smart
Able to run the race
Where there is no danger
Home to home
No time to have a start
A constant chase
Wandering like a free ranger
Place to place
Back and forth
Home to home
Settle

Trivialities- Not To Me
I've collected many a trivial thing
and kept them in a box.
Occasionally I will look at them
and my memory it unlocks.
They have no value to anyone else
but to me they've found a place
to bring back a scene I remember
to put a smile upon my face.
If someone finds this box someday
and wonders 'what is this? '
Before they discard all these things
there's something they would miss.
They'd miss what these little things did
for the one that left them behind.
For never could they picture the scenes
nor could they ever find
how these trivialities in the box
were only special to see
by the one that lived the scenes they were from
for I took those scenes with me.

Take me Back home
Take me back,
Back where I once came from,
From the place I was born and raised,
This place I am at its not home its pure hell for me,
A young child who was only
8 left home to be in a new so called happy place,
That place made me miserable,
Hated by those who hated me,
Picked on those you can’t fight back,
Yet I cry and cry over no one heard my pain,
I scream no one heard,
It’s a little too late for me to go back,
At 16 yet I still think of my true home where my true heart lays,
Where I must try to go back no matter what it takes,
Just take me back home where I feel safe at.

Goin Home
Midnight on a southern highway
Dont know if Im going the right way
I havent seen a single sign for miles
All this stormy weather
Keeping us from being together
How long has it been since Ive seen your smile
In this tunnel called the night
I can finally see a light
Ive got a burning deep inside
I thought you might understand
Im drivin as fast as I can
And you said youd wait for me
Chorus
Goin home
Cause Ive been away much too long
Goin home
Going back to the place where my heart belongs
Goin home
Going back where I left my family
Goin home
And I hope that theyre still waitin there for me
In the eyes of the legal tender
Youre the one who must surrender
I think they call it responsibility
Im a man in emotion
With only one compulsion
Ive got to follow these dreams inside my heart
Im not looking for a fight
No ones wrong and no ones right
Maybe we all need time apart
So please understand
Im doin the best that I can
And you said youd wait for me
Chorus
Goin home
Cause Ive been away much too long
Goin home
Going back to the place where my heart belongs
Goin home
Going back where I left my sanity
Goin home
And I hope that its still waitin there for me
Solo
I thought youd might understand
Im drivinas fast as I can
And you said youd wait for me
Chorus
Goin home
Cause Ive been away much too long
Goin home
Going back to the place where my heart belongs
Goin home
Going back where I left my family
Goin home
And I hope that theyre still waiting there for me
Going home
Going home
Yeah, baby

One Ancestry
One race...one ancestry
One place...one history
The importance of all these -
The start of you and me
Our family is like branches of tree
Some remain in Palompon, Leyte
A place where we can feel and see
Our great ancestor's merits and bravery
Others grow in different lands
Yet, our roots remain as one.
Each of our lives will always be intertwined
The breathe we take
The blood that flows through our veins
Is like a song that will never change.
A tear in my eye
With a heart full of pride
And that I cannot hide.
As I'm so blessed to be a part of history
A history that will be remembered and treasured
Not only today but on the next generation..
All of the information
Gathered from the past
Through your help & coordination we made it at last!
So, thank you for all you do,
I appreciate it and that's true!

There is a place I was born
It is a place Ive never seen
Dont even know where it is
Dont even know my name
Where is home, where is my home?
Im searching far and wide
Its a bastard song
It is the feeling that everythings wrong
We are alive, we that have wings
We have devices can do anything, I say
Where is home, where is my home?
I hear my spirit cry
If youre out of transmission, way out on the road
If youre out of commission I can, give you the code
Darkness is coming and its in your command
Time to be moving, time
There is a town I was born
Now theres a place Ive got to call home
Where is home, where is my home?
Im searching far and wide, oh yeah
Where is home, where is my home?
I hear my spirit cry
Its in the clear blue sky

The Sojourner
Are your herds all dead
That you walk the street alone?
And do you have your own bed
When the toiling day is done?
City nomad without his herd
Wanderer, pilgrim of the mind
Wont you rest your tired head
You herdsman of a kind?
Were your ancestors cattle rearers
Who sought where grasses were green?
But you have mingled with the city dwellers
Leaving your herds either dead or lean
Tell me, city nomad
Why did you leave your father's way
And choose the city, tis' sad
That you roam the streets day by day
Or are you of the gypsy race
And your clan, minstrels and magicians?
Who wander from place to place
Sleeping and waking in caravans
Foxes have holes, and bird the trees
Do you have any to call your home?
Some live in houses, some in tents
Why do choose the streets to roam?
I am but a sojourner in every city
Seeking my God and the crown
And may he lead me to that heavenly city
A better place to call my own! !

Hopscotch
Hopscotch
In a train going back home
A thousand scenes hurtling back
Those smug village lanes
So much missed
My doggie, Childhood
Friends and the hopscotch game
Those tiny legs
Tottering and
Picking up stone
From hastily drawn squares
Three hearts and six squares
Our childhood cheers!
Time stole the scenes
Yet they live on
Yes, at the back of our mind
Three hearts, three stones
And six drawn squares!

You Can Never Go Home
Open the door and adjust my eyes
The concrete streets are as gray as the skies
The wind stings my face and this world just melts away
And it brings me back to another place bur memories are such a waste
You can never go home, you left that world behind
Is this the only place
The only place to go
Are these tired words, the only that we know
The old familiar taste, of the bottle in my hand
Or is this the only place, I can understand
Your whiskey tainted wisdom spills like vomit from your mouth
The world is closing in and I just gotta get out...
Of my head and of this town
Familiar places are bringing me down,
The truth can be hard to swallow
When its spit right in your face.
I just gotta get out
Hay

(dieter bohlen)
Producer for bonnie: dieter bohlen
Recorded in 1994, bonnies last single on the hansa label. this single was to promote the comeback singles collection 90-94. lyrics taken from careful listening.
I dream of home again
A thousand voices call to me
A cry that splits the night
Woke up the soul inside my memories
I chose to walk alone
To search and find my destiny
So many lonesome roads
Lead me away from where I long to be
When I awake and see a cold and empty room
I sit alone and think of places I once knew
The friends that I had loved and left behind
Oh, how could I have been so blind?
Back home
Where all the love is that I need
Where all my family waits for me
Back home
I close my eyes and I can see
Where the river meets the sea
Back home
There is no better place than home for me
cause home is where Ill find my destiny
Im going home again and I just cant wait to see
The folks that I have missed
A mothers tender kiss, so soft, so sweet
Ill hold her in my arms, like Id never let her go
My familys my home and I will tell them that I love them so
Oh I know Ive been away so very long
That I hurt you when I left and I was wrong
And I see that home is where my heart belongs
So hang on heart, cause her I come
Back home
Where all the love is that I need
Where all my family waits for me
Back home
I close my eyes and I can see
Where the river meets the sea
Back home
There is no better place than home for me
cause home is where Ill find my destiny
Back home
Where all the love is that I need
Where all my family waits for me
Back home
I close my eyes and I can see
Where the river meets the sea
Back home
There is no better place than home for me
cause home is where Ill find my destiny

Nobody's Home
Well I couldn't tell you why she felt that
way,
She felt it everyday.
And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes
again.
What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she
belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry
her eyes.
Broken inside.
Open your eyes and look outside, find the
reasons why.
You've been rejected, and now you can't
find what you left behind.
Be strong, be strong now.
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she
belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry
her eyes.
Broken inside.
Her feelings she hides.
Her dreams she can't find.
She's losing her mind.
She's fallen behind.
She can't find her place.
She's losing her faith.
She's fallen from grace.
She's all over the place.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry
her eyes.
Broken inside.
She's lost inside, lost inside...

When One Door Closes Another Opens
She sold her house in outer suburbia where she had lived for many years
And she know that in months from now she will recall through the tears
The happy times she spent there when her children were young
There they laughed and played together and their nursery rhymes they sung.
The old home to be demolished never to be seen again
And of a thing of beauty only memories will remain
To make room for a car park something ugly in it's place
And the landscape will look uglier without one familiar face.
To get rid of her huge mortgage the one reason why she sold
And the house in need of repairs as most timber houses do when old
So she felt obliged to sell and to buy a cheaper house elsewhere
But she will recall her old home and the good times she had there.
When one door closes another opens this so happens to be true
And she will settle in her new home and find happiness there too
Still the old timber house on Bayview Road in her memory will remain
And in her dreams she will be visiting her erstwhile friends again.

Outsider
The many childhood memories that I have
are lonely ones of being an outsider.
I never mixed very well
and was always the last one,
other children wanted to call a friend.
I was a quiet person
who spent much of his time alone
buried deep within his own thoughts.
At classes, I always got the lowest grades,
on vacation I almost always was on my own.
I would sit for hours just pondering on my thoughts.
I never grew out of being an outsider,
different from the rest.
My early life was over shadowed
by younger sister whom my parents adored.
Every achievement that I made
my sister could do it better.
Not only was I an outsider at school,
but also at home a well.
In 1959, I left the shores
of the place I called home
to go back to the place of my birth.
Not until forty-two years later
would, I set foot on that soil again.
Things in the world had changed,
but not so much for me
as I was still a stranger
in the land I called my home.

Take Me Home
Take me home
please take me home
to the place where i was born
take me home, take me home
I dont want any friends
in my new home
cause id prefer to stay
there all alone
You told me
"i would like to be with you"
now youre gone
and everythings so strange and new
I love my friends
and you know i miss them so
i miss my friends children
and i miss watching them grow
Take me back to the place
where i was born
cause its the place where
i feel like beeing home
