Weep No More
You left the room, without a sound
And as you both walked out, the people still
Were dancing round
And when you touched, did it feel so bad
You didnt pull away, but now you wish you had
My babys sad
Weep no more, Im here beside you, even though
You let me down
Weep no more, let my love guide you, shelter
You from all around
Na na na na
Na na na naaaaaah, na
Were you wrong? did you go too far? sitting with
Him in the back seat of the car
Though you were young, I guess he thought you knew
Now its just a little while before the babys due
My baby blue
Weep no more, Im here beside you, even though
You let me down
Weep no more, let my love guide you, shelter
You from all around
Na na na na
Na na na naaaaaah, na

Weep Day

Though everybody said they saw me there
And it wasnt me you punched a hole in

Simultaneous events dont happen
We are isolated temporally
And a part is never called the whole thing
Though it bothers us to know its so

Weep No More
Mary, don't you weep no more
Mary, don't you weep no more
'Cuz, I got your letter today
Pack my bags and I'm on my way
So, don't you weep no more
Don't you weep no more
Dry your eyes
Don't you shed no tears
The sun is risin'
So, put away your fears
Cuz, I know I once done you wrong
I want to say I'm sorry
And I'm comin' back home
So, don't you weep no more
Don' t you weep no more
I hear your voice in the wind
And I feel your tears in the rain
Shadows of night are falling
Can't you hear me call your name
I'm comin' home
I'm comin' home
So, don't you weep
Don't you weep
Don't you weep
Don't you weep no more

Weep not, Brokenhearted
Let's attempt to foil
A possible emotional turmoil
Our tempers have been set to boil
Shame! You blame
The very existence of my name
For the aftermath of our fun game
I feel the same, I feel the same
Weep not, Brokenhearted
Weep! Weep! Not
You insisted you wanted only fun
Today you talk of me as if a con
Now that your heart is worn and torn
Weep not, Brokenhearted
Weep! Weep! Not
I thought fun for a couple of days
After we’ll go our separate ways
I simply cannot understand
How I have led you astray
You said the words, you needed fun, you were bored
Weep not, Brokenhearted
Weep! Weep! Not
Once you sung the words to your song
I locked my heart with a key
Threw it away, so of you I would be free

Weep Not Nigeria
Weep not Nigeria,
for justice is in the offing.
Weep not Nigeria,
for your cries resonate and ring.
Weep not Nigeria,
It's time for your African spring.
Weep not Nigeria,
none shall usurp your role as king.
Weep not Nigeria,
for soon in ecstasy you'll sing.
Weep not Nigeria,
for to towering heights you'll cling.
Weep not Nigeria,
and soar atop the eagle's wing.
Weep not Nigeria,
for your patience will gladness bring.
Weep not Nigeria,
it's time to sing the ding dong song.
Weep not Nigeria,
for your misery will not be long.
Weep not Nigeria,
for you are numbered with the strong.

My Sweet Child
they took it
they took it all
they took it all away from me
sit and weep sit and weep
i want it
i want it all
i want it all back to me
why can't they give it back to me
sit and weep sit and weep
my sweet child
if words could give
i would give it all
i would give it all
i would give it all back to your heart
but i can't
so i sit

Weep No More
Gordon jenkins / tom adair
Im just about fed up
Ive finally had my fill
Of sitting around and crying in my beer
Ive drunk the bitter cup
Ive downed the bitter pill
While waiting for the silver lining to appear
Im going to stack my blues up
On the very highest shelf
Im going to pack my blues up
And get wise to myself
(weep no more, my baby)
(weep no more, my baby)
Weep no more
Im going to weep no more
Im putting an end to this lonesome game
(its such a lonesome game this crying)
Cry no tears, Im going to cry no tears
Each time that I happen to hear his name
(I hear his name)
Im going out on the town
This hopeless torch I will drown
cause Im tired of running around
(running around)
With just a memory
Weep no more, Im going to weep no more
Till somebody weeps
(until somebody weeps) for me

Weep Not For Him That Dieth
I.
WEEP not for him that dieth--
For he sleeps, and is at rest;
And the couch whereon he lieth
Is the green earth's quiet breast:
But weep for him who pineth
On a far land's hateful shore,
Who wearily declineth
Where ye see his face no more!
II.
Weep not for him that dieth,
For friends are round his bed,
And many a young lip sigheth
When they name the early dead;
But weep for him that liveth
Where none will know or care,
When the groan his faint heart giveth
Is the last sigh of despair.
III.
Weep not for him that dieth,
For his struggling soul is free,
And the world from which it flieth
Is a world of misery;
But weep for him that weareth
The captive's galling chain:
To the agony he beareth,
Death were but little pain.
IV.
Weep not for him that dieth,
For he hath ceased from tears,
And a voice to his replieth
Which he hath not heard for years;
But weep for him who weepeth
On that cold land's cruel shore--
Blest, blest is he that sleepeth,--
Weep for the dead no more!

Don’t Weep For Me
Here I lay in bed
the throes of death
dance round my head.
Don’t weep for me
when I am dead,
because all you will see
is just the husk of me.
I will be gone to somewhere else,
although they have not told me yet.
It could be somewhere hot
so I can burn my toes.
It could be somewhere cold
so it will freeze my nose.
Then again it could be somewhere in between
where the air is clean.
They say that is quite nice,
a sort of paradise.
So when I am dead,
don’t weep for me.
You can take the husk
and do what you will.
You can burn or bury it deep,
which will give the worms something to eat.
You can put me a cardboard box
if you are that way incline,
I really do not mind,
for I will already be gone from there.
To where that is anyone’s guess,
they have not told me yet.
When I get there, I won’t be coming back.
No one ever does from there,
except to haunt those who have done me wrong,
and then only until the day they to are gone.
I guess it is time to sat goodbye.
Just remember what I said,
don’t weep for me
when I am dead.

My Little Man
Dont you know I love you more than life itself,
Dont you know that youre my pride
And I would not have you walking through this world.
Without me by your side
Go to sleep my little man
Dont you weep my little man
Id like to keep you with me all your life,
But I know I cant do that
So I must try to teach you wrong from right,
To keep the vulture from your back
Go to sleep my little man
Dont you weep my little man
And when youre dreaming you can talk to angels,
So wipe the tears from your eyes
And if theres demons that try to steal you breath away.
You cant believe that, know my spirit will be standing by your side
You saved me, you gave me, the greatest gift of all
Believe me, believe, there aint no mountain thats too tall
I will gladly carry your cross for you,
To take your pain away
But what I cant carry is my love for you,
Beyond my dying day
So be strong my little man
When Im gone my little man
You got to be my little man
So dont you weep my little man
Go to sleep my little man
Dont you weep my little man
You got to be my little man
So dont you weep my little man

Afraid To Sleep
We slept in this room together but now youre gone
And its so quiet I turn the tv on
We lived in this room together we painted the walls
Now time doesnt stand still
It crawls
And Im afraid to sleep
Cuz if I do I dream of you
And dreams are always deep
On the pillow where I weep
I never realized how much I was in love with you
Until you started sleeping with someone new
Last night I dreamed again and you were there
You kissed my face you touched my hair
And Im afraid to sleep
Cuz if I do I dream of you
And dreams are always deep
On the pillow where I weep
Lying alone in the darkness with a memory in my head
Theres a big hole where my heart is
And a lonely feeling rollin round my bed
And Im afraid to sleep
Cuz if I do I dream of you
Im afraid to sleep
Cuz if I do I dream of you
And dreams are always deep
On the pillow where I weep
On the pillow where I weep
Im afraid to sleep.

Weep Not My Love
Weep not for me when I am gone,
weep not for me as life is never long.
Weep not for me as you must live
and be ever strong.
Our love will last eternally
and when you need me, I will be there.
I will be that whisper in your ear,
that whisper that no one else can hear.
Weep not for me my love
you must be strong and live your life long.
Even though I am gone weep not for me
as this is a phase, we all one day must go through.
Though I go first, my love never fear
for when your time come I’ll be waiting here for you.

The constant weep.
I weep
That my mother doesn’t know that I weep
Over my neglect of her in her last days.
I weep
That my father doesn’t know that I weep
For my negligence showed in his last days.
The time
I redeem myself of this constant grief
My children will be there to follow suit.

Weep In Silence
You who thought
Your eyes could tell no lies
So your life became a compromise
And it was you
Who had seen men dyin
You heard their children cryin
While their women weep in silence
And you who thought
You were so wise
Succeeded only in disguise
Now and then
Youd find a bridge to cross
Reach the other side
And youd still be lost
Evaded by the sweet smell of life
And the people that you try
To show the way
Never believe you
Never believe you - no way
While your women weep in silence
Your women weep in silence
Women weep in silence

My Babys Gone
You got to weep
You got to wail
You got to drag yourself on hands and knees bleeding
Another mile along the trail
You got to laugh in the face of the devil
When hes hanging on to your shirt tail
You got to hold down the lid of the coffin
And hammer in the last nail
My babys gone so far away
Shes never coming back to me
You got to live
You got to learn
How to find your way to the end of the night
When theres nowhere left to turn
How to keep the last embers of the fire alight
When theres nothing left to burn
How to say goodbye to the ashes that fly
From the cheap metal urn
My babys gone so far away
Shes never coming back to me
She said go to sleep
You got to save
Your anger and rage for the living
cuase theyre no damn good in the grave
And dont waste your time in forgiving
The ones who just dont know how to behave
Theres heaven and hell in the world that you live in
But Im in a different place
My babys gone so far away
Shes never coming back to me

It's Raining My Son
It's raining my son.... The autumn is wet,
Wet like the eyes of a poor beguiled love....
Go, close the window, and close the door,
Then come beside me, come, face me seated
In silence supreme.... It's raining my son.
Does it rain sometimes also in your soul?
Does your heart chill too? and do you shiver
Reflecting on the bright and bygone sun
Behind one of the closed doors of destiny?
But you weep my son.... In darkness, at once
Heavy tears outflow from your wet, wet eyes....
Weep, weep the tears of soon lost innocence;
Weep without knowing, my poor unwise son,
The poor prey of life; weep that you may grow.

Weep Not Child
weep not child
wipe those tears from your eyes
weep not child
weep not for you are not alone
weep not child
wipe those very tears
surely, over the years
but somewhat he above us cares
your struggle he bears
to wipe them off and clears
the shackles
and tackles
of all scuffles
and troubles
weep not child
for you are not alone.

Babys Gone
Roy orbison/ bobby goldsboro
Recorded 1963 gene thomas
Babys gone away,babys gone away
Babys gone away and left me lonely
Didnt say goodbye, didnt tell me why
Just left me here to stay
The pain I feel inside is more than I can hide
I need her by my side, oh where can baby be
Wont somebody please bring her back to me
And shell never be lonely again
A funny photograph that made all the gang laugh
Two tickets torn in half are only reminders
A ribbon from her hair, her little teddy bear
Theyre just waiting there for me to find her
I miss her so tonite, I long to hod her tight
I hope that shes alright, oh where can baby be?
Wont somebody please bring her back to me
And shell never be lonely again

Peekaboo: Three Songs For The Nursery
The longer thou livest, the more fool thou.
I
Go hide! Go hide! But through the latticework
Of my upraised bone hands
I see athlete and statesman, priest and clerk
Step forth as deodands.
Risking more than they know of life and limb
In playing Peekaboo—
Whose happiest chances couldn’t be called “slim”—
I’ve tagged each: ICU
II
Cry; baby, cry!
You’ve got two reasons why.
The first is being born at all:
The second, my peremptory call.
Cry; baby, cry!
Weep, baby, weep!
No solaces in sleep.
Nightmare will ruin your repose
And daylight resurrect your woes.
Weep, baby, weep!
III
Bah, bah, black sheep, you supply the needs
Plaguing mourners: stylish widows’ weeds.
Haute couture for all the fashion shows.
Black is the color of my true love’s clothes.

Free People
Some may admit they wish another lover.
Although they've suffered and have since recovered.
Some may admit they wish another lover.
And many underestimate the cost,
The feeling of a loss.
Free people weep alone when undercovers,
Wanting to be held.
Free people weep alone when they discover,
Moaning known too well.
Free people weep alone when undercovers,
Wanting to be held...
Inside when they hide alone,
And there all by themselves.
Some may admit they wish another lover,
But they really don't.
They miss the suffering and being smothered,
By somebody known.
And just to have another troubled lover,
There to condone...
Isn't worth the heartache or the tears that are shown.
Free people weep alone when undercovers,
Wanting to be held.
Free people weep alone when they discover,
Moaning known too well.
Free people weep alone when undercovers,
Wanting to be held...
Inside when they hide alone,
And there all by themselves.
Free people weep alone when undercovers,
Wanting to be held.
Free people weep alone when they discover,
Moaning known too well.
Free people weep alone when undercovers,
Wanting to be held...
Inside when they hide alone,
And there all by themselves.
