Perry Mason
On his way to dinner when it took him by suprise
And with one pull of the trigger he would vanish overnight
Dancing by the roadside, holding on for dear life
Then a gun from out of nowhere made a widow of his wife
I dont mind, single file down the runway
Feelin fine, and Ill see you my friend
Over and over again
Who can we get on the case?
We need perry mason
Someone to put you in place
Calling perry mason
Riding painted horses, oh the kids they love it so
You can see it on their faces, how they love the wind to blow
Minding my own business like my mama always said
But if I dont try to help him they could wind up on the front page
I dont mind, draw the line then draw me an arrow
Feelin fine, then Ill see you my friend
Over and over again
Who can we get on the case?
We need perry mason
Someone to put you in place
Calling perry mason again, again
Wake me when its over, tell me its all right
Just keep on talking baby, Ive been doing this all night
How much did you give me, tell me itll be all right
Who can we get on this case?
We need perry mason
Someone to put you in place
Calling perry mason, again, again, again, again

Guido Sebaldi
Guido Sebaldi the mason
Worked at a house of stone:
Guido Sebaldi the mason
Sand at his work alone.
Till a stranger, he said unto him
As he hammer'd the stone one day'
'Guido Sebaldi the mason,
Hark to the words I say!'
'Leave thou this work, fit only
For oxen that draw the plough:
No longer Sebaldi the mason,
Guido the sculptor thou!'
Then Guido Sebaldi the mason
Look'd on his work in shame.
And 'Lo,' he said, 'I am lusty,
I will build me a noble name.'
Guido Sebaldi the sculptor
Toil'd till his heart grew sore.
Guido Sebaldi the sculptor
Sang at his work no more.
Vainly Sebaldi the mason
Hammer'd the senseless stone.
Vainly Sebaldi the mason
Sigh'd at his work alone.
His hands were ready and skillful,
And his days with toil were rife,
But the soul of the master was needed
To waken the stone to life.
Sadly Sebaldi the mason
Went back to the house of stone;
And his brow once more grew cheery
As he sat at his work alone.
But yet he was always thinking
Of hopes that were long since o'er;
And Guido Sebaldi the mason
Sang at his work no more.

We needed something to move and fill up the space
We needed something this always is just the case
Jefrey with one f jeffery took up his place
Sat on a carpet and with tablas in hand took up the chase

Now it occurred to me as he drove away

My Fault
the tears run down my face
for yet again they disprove of him
when will they like him cause
I will never date anyone else but him
so I’ll just have to put up with this
shit for two more years
I’m sure if we can make it through that
we can make it through anything
some times I wish for another
but I know I couldn’t be able to brake his heart
for his pain would be so great
that it might kill the both of us
for his pain becomes mine
and mine becomes his
because of the bond of life
has always been there under our noses
we were just to blind to notice
once we did notice we feel hard and fast.
the faster we fell
the harder it was to break us apart
right now I feel as if our bond and our lives
are consumed by our love
neither one of us could live with out the other in our lives
for we feed off of each other
I cant stand being away from him
but yet there is anther that they will approve of.
the other guy(josh) is tearing my heart into two pieces
and my beautiful relationship with my boyfriend
I really don’t want that to happen
so every day I tell my self
I don’t like josh a million times
but once I see him he takes my breath away
he makes me almost faint and as he comes closer to hug me
my knees become week and
I want to given to the little devil on my shoulder that’s saying
look at josh he is gorgeous go with josh
take him into your world and show him a good time
but the angle says no
you love mason take mason into your world and mason is hot
take mason into your world
not josh... no josh..... stay away from him he’s trouble
yes josh is gorgeous but I love mason
and I always will love mason
no matter what happens
not even a huge crush such as josh
cause I’ am mason’s soul mate and he is mine
we belong together and not apart for we are in love
and it’s only my fault that I like josh and not mason’s

Love-letting
'Woman places corpse of husband in closet.
Linah B-,64, said her husband died
In October 31 in either 1977 or 1978 and she
Put him in a closet because she
Couldn't pay for a proper burial...'
Might've been a good case
For Perry Mason if foul play
Had been suspected, but
The authorities got to the bottom
Of the matter when they
Got the call from the workmen
Painting the house.
Seems there was a little more than
Plaster-of-Paris on a closet floor
Than the woman let on.
One might wonder at the woman's stead
To bear the dead crime,
'No, J- is not home today, '
No one the wiser what lay
In the closet's keep.
It'll probably be the 'in' thing now-
Home Burial.
Little women will squirrel
Their loved ones away-
Where the dead never leave the house.

Sailing To Philadelphia
[From Mark Knopfler's "Sailing To Philadelphia"]
I Am Jeremiah Dixon
I Am A Geordie Boy
A Glass Of Wine With You, Sir
And The Ladies I'll Enjoy
All Durham And Northumberland
Is Measured Up By My Own Hand
It Was My Fate From Birth
To Make My Mark Upon The Earth...
He Calls Me Charlie Mason
A Stargazer Am I
It Seems That I Was Born
To Chart The Evening Sky
They'd Cut Me Out For Baking Bread
But I Had Other Dreams Instead
This Baker's Boy From The West Country
Would Join The Royal Society...
We Are Sailing To Philadelphia
A World Away From The Coaly Tyne
Sailing To Philadelphia
To Draw The Line
The Mason-Dixon Line
Now You're A Good Surveyor, Dixon
But I Swear You'll Make Me Mad
The West Will Kill Us Both
You Gullible Geordie Lad
You Talk Of Liberty
How Can America Be Free
A Geordie And A Baker's Boy
In The Forests Of The Iroquois...
Now Hold Your Head Up, Mason
See America Lies There
The Morning Tide Has Raised
The Capes Of Delaware
Gome Up And Feel The Sun
A New Morning Is Begun
Another Day Will Make It Clear
Why Your Stars Should Guide Us Here...
We Are Sailing To Philadelphia
A World Away From The Coaly Tyne
Sailing To Philadelphia
To Draw The Line
The Mason-Dixon Line

Hard Up Case
You told me once I was your pride and joy
I guess those days are dead and gone
You must have took me for some golden boy
You didnt know what you were taking on
It was a hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
Now all the angles have been played in threes
There isnt much that I can say
I know you gave your little heart to me
I guess I threw the thing away
It was a hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
Sometimes the truth is kind of hard to find
But dont you worry I can read your mind
And you dont have to tell me to my face
You put some other joker in my place
They dealt us houses full with the queens and kings
And now theyre calling out our bluff
cause you and me girl we had everything
But it just wasnt quite enough
Now thats a hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
You say the truth is gonna set me free
Like you might throw a dog a bone
I know youre thinking that the jokes on me
Just take a look at what you re dragging home --
Another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case

Crowded
Here I am
My trun to
sit at the
table
I've seen it
happening long
ago when
Perry Mason
was still in
black and white
Who knew he was
gay
I've visualized it
as I've read
books about famous
trials
Waiting for
the moment
Listening for
the moment
But there are
No attornerys
leaping to their
feet here
There's barely
enough room
at the table
for me
Attorney takes up part
My investigator takes up part
Then there's our notes
evidence and such
Not much room left
even for the water
the cups the napkins or
me

If This Be Love
Hope gives in to longing thought,
of all desires that I've sought.
A wanton heart might now be caught,
if this be love, that you have brought.
Can love..hope..grow where pain abides;
Where doubt and fear are justified?
I willingly throw both arms wide,
if faith can bring you to my side.
Give in! give in! My heart cries out,
For once find out what loves about.
These walls I've built so strong and stout,
like Jericho, fall at the shout.
A newborn babe, my soul lies bare;
vulnerable to trap and snare.
I gladly place all in your care.
If this be love...that we would share.

When I open my lip
When I open my lip
Stone turn water
And you see
Mason's departure.
When I open my lip
Mason will not able to
Do any construction
Without any reason.
Ask not to open
Ask not to open.

I Dont Need to Understand
The problems of this world are large,
lifes trials are so demanding.
I need a God beyond my ken,
beyond my understanding.
I've not the means to know each thread
within life’s knitted veil,
but He that works the Weavers wheel,
knows every strand so well.
So I lift my prayer to He who knows,
in He that loves His own.
I know full well He hears, He helps...
and to whom my prayers are flown.
I leave the details to my God
and trust that in His grace,
He will keep me close within His arms,
in His healing... warm embrace..

Mama You Been On My Mind
(bob dylan)
Perhaps its the color of the sun cut flat
And coverin the crossroads Im standing at
Or maybe its the weather or something like that
But mama you been on my mind
I do not mean you trouble, dont put me down, dont get upset
I am not pleadin? or sayin? i cant forget you
I do not pace the floor, bowed down and bent, but yet
Mama you been on my mind
Even tho? my eyes are hazy
And my thoughts they might be narrow
Where you been dont bother me, or bring me down with sorrow
I dont even mind where you be wakin? up tomorrow
But mama you been on my mind
Im not asking you to say words like yes or no
Please understand me, Ive no place Im calling you to go
Im just whisperin? to myself so I can pretend that I dont know
Mama you been on my mind
When you wake up in the mornin? baby, look inside your mirror
You know I wont be next to you, you know I wont be near
Id just be curious to know if you can see yourself as clear
As someone who has had you on his mind
As someone who has had you on his mind
Mama you been on my mind

At Waters Edge
At waters edge we dared the night,
to hold the moment, never end.
To hold back dawns encroaching light,
and count each second...saviour..friend.
We lay upon the grassy slope,
the stars looked down in jealousy.
Of what was starting...passion? ...hope?
or of what they thought was meant to be.
Each touch, enough to make us wonder,
of all we ached for, never found.
Protective walls now torn asunder,
revealing pain torn, fertile ground.
The tears that flowed with unsure yearning,
were kissed away with hopeful pledge,
That time would fan what started burning,
that night upon.... the waters edge.
