Bloc Bloc Bloc
I want to go up to detroit
I want to lie in the shade
I want to visit the president
And then I want to get laid
I want to go down to memphis
I want to talk to the king
I want to tell him were sorry
And it wont happen again
Ive got a photo of james joyce
Its a photo by man roy
Its not very very much like him
But its not for me to say
She sacrifices her body
Almost every night
Just like a lamb to the slaughter
And she thinks it makes him feel right
You gave me so many problems
You made me crash in my car
Ill have a martini cocktail
And then well see where we are
So just be nice to your brother
Ill take your sister to bed
And I can bloc bloc bloc till the weekend
But youd better come back soon

But when one identifies the Church with a cultural and political bloc, there is the danger of making difficult the Church's contact with all those outside the bloc.

Liz Asks Me To Read The Bible
Word of God is all we have.
There is no God of sense.
Not having sense the Word is packed,
Choc-a-bloc with stuff and nonsense.
I'm averse to choc when it's a-bloc,
So tell me please, dear Liz,
Does anywhere exist Word version,
Leaves out the choc,
Leaves in why God's my biz?

Cant Take Another Nite
(brian greenway/jeff nystrom)
Published by beeg tunes/ed bloc notes - bmi
Im lookin out my window
I guess the rains about to fall
And the radio wont let you leave my mind
Its like watchin shadows on the wall, yeah
I cant take another nite
I cant take the night alone, if were not together
What do I do to make it right
I cant take another nite, I cant take another nite
You said youd think it over
But youve been gone for such awhile
You said that time would never change a thing, but baby
We were young ( we were young), and we were restless
And we were headstrong with desire
I cant take another nite
I cant take the night alone, if were not together
Baby, what do I do to make it right
I cant take another nite, I cant take another nite
We could ride on this mystery train forever
We gotta get it right girl, its now or never
So many times girl, you walked out that door
But you make it look easy, when you come back for more
I cant take another nite
I cant take the night alone, if were not together
Baby, what do I do to make it right
I cant take another nite, I cant take another nite
Ooh yeah, what do I do to make it right
I cant take another nite, I cant take another nite
I cant take another nite

I Don't Know
Monday morning is not Monday morning 'till Taylor has his coffee
Friday night is not Friday night 'till Jessie leaves the room sweaty
Tuesday morning is not Tuesday morning 'till Nick has his talk with his son
Thursday night is not Thursday night 'till Chris has sex with his bass
Come on to the Weekend
'Cause the Weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the Weekend
'Cause there's too much time bein' merrily nice guys
Tuesday morning is Wednesday afternoon when you cry all night
Wednesday early we fall into what I'll Phil-a-del-ph-i-a
Thursday morning is not Thursday morning 'till one of us says
How's your life
How's your life?
Yeah how's your life
How's your life?
Come on to the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause there's too much time to think and not much time to cry
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend we'll be high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look tired, but we'll get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if no one shared their humble appearance
What there were no consequences
What if there were no more arguments
Well that'd be a shame
And that'd be impossible
And you would be bored
'Cause you wouldn't want it any other way
Hold on 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look scared, but we're really nice guys
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look strange but we surely will get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if we all had no thinking together
Would that be a shame...
And that'd be impossible
'Cause you would be bored
'Cause you wouldn't want it any other way

Open Your Arms
Sitting under the money tree
look for the fruits of charity
best to pick them fast for they too far gone
they grow rotten to the core on the greedy man's farm
open your moth the words don't come out
even though the thoughts in your head seem to flow
are you so afraid what everybody thinks
are you so afraid to show what you know
to get along, with your sister your brother
get along, we all the same under this shell
brother to brother and sister to sister
and people are people and...
open your arms
monkey do monkey see
why you want to upset me
monkey go monkey say
but let me live my life today
monkey hear monkey walk
monkey you so full of talk
when are we every gonna learn
to fulfill the need to be free
feel free
be free
stand free
wont need mediocrity
brother to sister and
sister to brother and
brother to brother and sister to sister
open your arms

Torn Picture
I found it in my box today,
A photo that I tucked away.
It had a pretty smiling face
In another even happier place.
It use to sit upon my desk
It got me through the worst, into the best
If I couldn't smile that day at all
I just took a glimpse of the photo, and feel the walls
Fall away, fall into dust beneath my feet-
Where earth and man doth meet.
That was till the dark clouds came,
When I found that people often change.
That those we trust oft are our enemy.
When those who chain us, once set us free.
In the midst of the storm, the photo stood,
Daring questions of whoever would.
The symbol of eternal hope,
Something on which I could grab hold.
But hope without help, eventually dies,
And the photo was tucked away with all my files.
One by one, the pictures of you were ripped up
Till there was none of you to remind me of.
But this one photo, hidden away amidst other mail
The one last tangible memory of a fairytale.
Twas today I took hold of its corners,
And watched it tear, till your face was just a blur.
Goodbye to all your lies-
The mask behind which you hide.
Watch the shredded pieces fall in the bin,
Watching as a new life begins.

The Weekend Song
Monday morning is not monday morning
'till taylor has his coffee
Friday night is not friday night
'till jesse leaves the room sweaty
Tuesday morning is not tuesday morning

Thursday night is not thursday night
'till chris has sex with his bass
Come on to the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause there's too much time to think
And there will be nice skies
Tuesday morning is wednesday afternoon
When you cry all night
Wednesday early we fall into work
All caught up in the day by day
Thursday morning is not thursday morning
'till (alanis???) says how's your life
How's your life?
Yeah how's your life
How's your life?
Come on to the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend

What if no one shares their humble appearance
What there were no consequences
What if there were no more arguments
Well that'd be a shame
Wouldn't that be impossible
And you would be bored
'cause you wouldn't want it a little too late...
Hold on 'till the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause the man upstairs has the really nice skies
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause we may look strange but we surely will get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if we all had no thinking together

Living So Close
I think these people must be mad
In row after row and en bloc;
Living so closely together
As starlings, in one seething flock.
I hear that noisy Lab' next door
And the other, next door but one;
If things were up to me, I know
That both would soon be gone.
These people must be crazy
Putting up with all that din;
If push should come to shove
I wonder just which one would win?
How do they sleep in their beds at night?
Their heads must be all of a fog;
Living so close to the enemy, but,
What do I know - I'm only a dog!

I Want A New Drug
I want a new drug
One that wont make me sick
One that wont make me crash my car
Or make me feel three feet thick
I want a new drug
One that wont hurt my head
One that wont make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
I want a new drug
One that wont spill
One that dont cost too much
Or come in a pill
I want a new drug
One that wont go away
One that wont keep me up all night
One that wont make me sleep all day
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
Im alone with you baby
I want a new drug
One that does what it should
One that wont make me feel too bad
One that wont make me feel too good
I want a new drug
One with no doubt
One that wont make me talk too much
Or make my face break out
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you

My Sister and I
Every day is been fun
My sister and I
Got to know each other even more
We fight and argue, but we love each other no matter what happen
We hug each other when one is crying
We make each other feel better, comfort one another and also talk
My sister and I
Understand each other so well
We will always have each other back
We are like best friends
We hang out and have fun
We sometimes are nice and mean to each other
Most of time we can get on each other nerves, but
No matter what happen or what we say to each other
We always forgive each other and love one another
My sister and I

Memphis
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
I got to get away, study my geography
Im just a shadow of the boy I used to be
I used to see the light, now its all a mystery
I used to feel the beat, now I feel a million miles from...
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
I used dirty words never too excessively
But saying rock&roll never seemed so bad to me
I dare said it in hip and happy company
I was in and out in a second on my way to...
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis, so where the hell is memphis?
I had a one-way ticket and a little radio
I turned it on, heard the sound from twenty years ago
Somebody smiled and said, thats the only way to go
He died at twenty-one, now nobodys innocent in...
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Somebody turned around, said, I got to disagree
He wrote that sort of turn people out to anarchy
He made them think about marlon brando on tv
I guess they still went down against anything they got in...
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
I met a wise old man, he had longer hair than me
He said, memphis is nothing like it used to be
A hundred dead guitarists lying in the cemetry
I felt a sudden chill, now Im not so sure about...
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Memphis - where the hell is memphis?
Im on a lonesome train on a lonesome track
I think Ill jump right off, head for home, double back
And though Im better now I know that no-one knows the facts
Im gonna start again, forget I ever heard about...

Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey's head
And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times
I wonder if it's too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life's better now than it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, god, I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down
We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel
Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since god knows when
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, god, I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Everytime I do it makes me...

For Bill - My Brother
Who was aged five when I was born
My brother
Who hid my toys and broke my dolls
My brother
Who avoided his sister at school all day
My brother
Who tolerated my teenage years
My brother
Who as an adult became a friend
My brother
Who mellowed with each passing year
My brother
Who supported my desire to immigrate
My brother
Who was there when others weren't
My brother
Who buried our parents while I was gone
My brother
Who cherished every visit I made
My brother
Who had his ticket to visit me here
My brother
Who unexpectedly died this year
My brother

Wishing Her Luck by Donald Trump
Jenna Talackova won her case
now she can compete with taste.
Donald wished her luck once
his organization said yes and it stuck.
Back in year 2005
Miss Universe came walking by.
I was told to take her photo quite nice
I did, I did not think twice.
Miss Universe's photo I did take
at Mar-a-Largo on spring break.
I would of never would of guessed
if this woman was born this way
so it does it matter if she is was
straight, transgender or gay?
I couldn't detect from the naked eye
so God would be the only one to testify.
We have free will that the source gave to us
so her cares if Rosy was a Russ.
