Wind up
If I am a feather
I always dream.
I can float in the sky.
Let the wind takes me to her destiny.
I cannot direct the wind
only I can adjust my sail
according to her will.

She Took The Wind From His Sails
Outer banks of North Carolina
Lies a sleepy harbor town
Generations of old sailors
Dropped their sails and settled down
Sam he is a young seafarer
Grandson of a sailmaker's daughter
Today he's gonna take her hand
Chorus:
Calm waters
Wish them well
His ship's come in
She's put the wind in his sails
Catherine is a canvas painter
Paints the sun and sand and sea
Lately she's been painting a portrait
Sammy is a dad to be
Chorus
January brought the fever
Sam was right there by her side
Doctor told him son I'm sorry
But Catherine needs your prayers tonight
Morning light brought Sam a daughter
Fever took his better half
Sam gave Catherine to the water
As he held their baby to his chest
Calm waters
Wished him well
His ship came in
But she took the wind from his sails
His ship came in
But she took the wind from his sails

Through My Sails
Still glaring from the city lights
Into paradise I soared
Unable to come down
For reasons Id ignored.
Total confusion,
Disillusion
New things Im knowin.
Im standing on the shoreline
Its so fine out there
Leaving with the wind blowing
But love takes care.
Know me, know me
Show me, show me
New things Im knowin.
Wind blowing through my sails
It feels like Im gone
Leaving with the wind blowing
Through my sails.

The Flying Dutchman
The blue water stretches
as far as visibility allows to see
and there’s fog
rising white before the storm
out of the water.
The dusk becomes grey
and the sea from blue to dark black
while the night
darker than ink, as only companion
folds over the old ancient ship.
It’s Van der Decken standing as tiller man
behind the big wheel
and forever he steers the ship
on the journey that she goes.
Always cursing
his loud voice thunders
like lightning falling around him
for sailors to tend the sails right
and sails are hoisted crunching, groaning and trembling
with strong ropes
and the ship jumps
over the smashing waves.
Like a phantom
the Flying Dutchman appears
with white sails like a wraith
over the horizon
where it sails before a storm with speed.
The ship becomes lager
as the storm wind
brings her closer
and you hear her creak
against the power of the wind.
There’s thunder bolts blinding suddenly
and sea birds flies screeching
out in front of her,
while Van der Decken’s skeleton
drills his men powerless
to set the sails right
that is vibrating against the wind.
“How long still Lord, ”
echoes against the sea and sky,
without a answer
ever coming
and suddenly the ship is gone
as if it disappeared in the naught.

The sky is but a tall ship
The sky is but a tall ship;
And the clouds invisible sails-
When I catch that wind,
When I catch that wind.
Storms can push a vessel aground;
And life isn't really the holy grail-
Then you catch that wind,
Then you catch that wind.
Don't worry about the setting sun;
If you lost or if you won-
Just reach your hands up to the sky
Until you've learned the way to fly,
And you'll find, once you catch that wind,
The sea of sky won't ever end.

The Shape of the Wind...
The arctic blasts turn men into plaster casts,
They take the shape of the wind.
The ragged sails lashed by the gales,
Are full of the the shape of the wind.
The shrewd and wise, with half closed eyes,
Can guess the way of the wind.
They bend and bow, and go with the flow,
They take the shape of the wind.
The evening fires make crooked spires,
As they give way to the shape of the wind.
My ice cold breath meets it’s sudden death,
As it takes the shape of the wind.
And all our life, with all it’s strife,
Is nought but the shape of the wind.
So no longer resist, just desist,
And accept the shape of the wind.

Disturbance @ Dinnertime
she sails
into the restaurant
with her volume, voice and vibes
her huge waves
disturbing every conversation
her loud laughs
Interfering with existing atmosphere
her empty words
bouncing all over the room
her massive presence
sharks the whole place
at last
she sails
out of the harbor
that wasn't hers
fresh wind blows
and everyone knows
it is now our happy hour

Going To Paris
We are going to paris
In a ship with red sails
As the storm gathers slowly
We eat fishheads and snails
The mate jumps up, throws down a line
To a man overboard for the ninetieth time
And then he says with a wink
Sometimes I think
Ive been doing this forever!
We are going to paris
In a ship called the ? ?
There are signs in the sky at night
That the captain says hes seen
I keep books under my pillow
And read them before I sleep
Strange places I go to,
Strange companies I keep
We are going to paris
We are one and thirty strong
I can feel it in the air
Well be there before long
The wind has come
Like a man insane, insane
We are going to paris
It rains and it rains
We are going to paris
In a ship with red sails
We are going to paris
In a ship with red sails

Nightrider
Beware of night for we all know hes loose again
Behind him lies the eyes of mercy and despair
Forever living out his nightmare comes to life
From hell this spell will find its way to you
Tonight
Tonight
A thousand cries are heard, they echo in the wind
And still the rider will unleash his chosen sin
The victims of his rage are soldiers of his mind
His scream will heed the call of those who stand behind
The nightrider sails away
The nightrider sails yeah
By day the rider will have vanished from all eyes
Seen from within the only answer to him lies
But as the rays of light begin to fade away
The rider will return to carry out his stay
The nightrider sails away
The nightrider sails yeah
Beware of the night
Beware of the night
Beware of the night
Oh god, beware of the night

The Merchant
Where sails the ship?--It leads the Tyrian forth
For the rich amber of the liberal north.
Be kind, ye seas--winds, lend your gentlest wing,
May in each creek sweet wells restoring spring!--
To you, ye gods, belong the merchant!--o'er
The waves his sails the wide world's goods explore;
And, all the while, wherever waft the gales
The wide world's good sails with him as he sails!

Upon The Wind And Waves
Andy tooks us down upon the keyside
To board the silver boat
Upon the Wind and Waves
And Daniel he harrelted the boat
And directed her well
Across the Wind and Waves
And Johnny took us on the boat
He held the sails, he tied the ropes
Upon the Wind and Waves
And Desiree she watched the ocean
Fair Upon the wind and Waves

Direct me not
Direct me not
What to write
What not to write.
Direct me not
Where to go
Where not go.
Direct me not
What to do
Why to do.
It is I
O my master
Who determine
What is what
And you are to
Follow till
The end of the chart.

When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.

Man Sails The Deep Awhile
MAN sails the deep awhile;
Loud runs the roaring tide;
The seas are wild and wide;
O'er many a salt, o'er many a desert mile,
The unchained breakers ride,
The quivering stars beguile.
Hope bears the sole command;
Hope, with unshaken eyes,
Sees flaw and storm arise;
Hope, the good steersman, with unwearying hand,
Steers, under changing skies,
Unchanged toward the land.
O wind that bravely blows!
O hope that sails with all
Where stars and voices call!
O ship undaunted that forever goes
Where God, her admiral,
His battle signal shows!
What though the seas and wind
Far on the deep should whelm
Colours and sails and helm?
There, too, you touch that port that you designed -
There, in the mid-seas' realm,
Shall you that haven find.
Well hast thou sailed: now die,
To die is not to sleep.
Still your true course you keep,
O sailor soul, still sailing for the sky;
And fifty fathom deep
Your colours still shall fly.
