Xanadu (feat. Paula)

*Xanadu
Xanadu
(Now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu your neon light will shine
For you Xanadu
Yeh yeh
A place
Where nobody dared to go
The love that we came to know
They call it Xanadu
And now
Open your eyes and see
What we have made is real
We are in Xanadu
**A million lights are dancing
And there you are
A shooting star
An everlasting love
And you're here with me
Eternally
*Repeat
The love the dream the echoes of long ago
You needed the world to know
They are in Xanadu
The dream the love that came through a million years
That lives on through all the tears
It came to Xanadu
**Repeat
Xanadu
Xanadu
(Now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu
Xanadu
(Now we are here)
In Xanadu
Now that I'm here
Now that you're near
In Xanadu
Now that I'm here
Now that you're near
In Xanadu
Xanadu

Xanadu

(jeff lynne)
A place where nobody dared to go
The love that we came to know
They call it xanadu
(it takes your breath and itll leave you blind)
And now, open your eyes and see
What we have made is real
We are in xanadu
(a dream of it,we offer you)
A million lights are dancing
And there you are, a shooting star
An everlasting world and youre here with me
Eternally
Xanadu--xanadu (now we are here)

Xanadu--xanadu (now we are here)
In xanadu
Xanadu your neon lights will shine
For you xanadu
The love, the echoes of long ago
You needed the world to know
They are in xanadu

The dream that came through a million years
That lived on through all the tears
It came to xanadu

A million lights are dancing and there you are
A shooting star, an everlasting world and youre
Here with me eternally

Xanadu

To seek the sacred river alph
To walk the caves of ice
To break my fast on honey dew
And drink the milk of paradise....
I had heard the whispered tales
Of immortality
The deepest mystery
From an ancient book. I took a clue
I scaled the frozen mountain tops
Of eastern lands unknown
Time and man alone
Searching for the lost ---- xanadu
Xanadu ---- to stand within the pleasure dome
Decreed by kubla khan
To taste anew the fruits of life
The last immortal man
To find the sacred river alph
To walk the caves of ice
Oh, I will dine on honey dew
And drink the milk of paradise
A thousand years have come and gone
But time has passed me by
Stars stopped in the sky
Frozen in an everlasting view
Waiting for the world to end
Weary of the night
Praying for the light
Prison of the lost ---- xanadu
Xanadu ---- held within the pleasure dome
Decreed by kubla khan
To taste my bitter triumph
As a mad immortal man
Nevermore shall I return
Escape these caves of ice
For I have dined on honey dew
And drunk the milk of paradise
More than paradise

Everybody's Going To The Moon

Kick that switch and Hyper-Zoom! X4
I've got a one way ticket, yeah,
To a distant galaxy.
I'll take a rocket to the stars, to,
escape catastrophe!
See time is tickin' on and on and on and on,
And life's in short supply.
So send me on a no-return trajectory,
'cause everything I know, is going to die!
CHOURS
Let's travel to a beautiful new world,
Leave this world behind.
Everybody's going to the moon.
I'd like to stay a little bit longer, but,
I've seen all the signs.
Everybody's going to the moon.
Everybody's going to the moon.
I've got a one way future,
Apocalyptic Doom.
So I need a destination,
Hope I get there soon.
The whole night I prayed
And soon I will be done,
So we're to make this journey
far beyond the stars and leave behind
the distant love of my unsetting sun
Sit back
Kick that switch and Hyper-Zoom! X4
CHOURS
I'm gonna travel the exit gets to the stars,
To find another home,
Search the universe for Xanadu,
'Scuse me while I leave in a hurry, but,
I'm running out of time,
Ain't you heard?
Everybody's going to the moon!
Everybody's going to the moon.
To the moon X4
A beautiful new world
(Search the universe for Xanadu)
A beautiful new world
(Everybody's going to the moon)

The Thing Is

The thing is
Your ring is just a piece of metal
Let us wish upon this petal
And watch our flower grow.
You always wanted big shining cars
I was always happy with small shining stars.
The thing is
The spring is where i will be with you
Not in an opera queue
Or caught in the restaurant ''Zoo''
Just realise
To kiss your eyes sitting in the park
Or dancing in the dark
Is all i ever need
Your Prince upon a steed
I'm here to rescue you
To write our story in Xanadu.
The thing is
The zing is
A breeze that we can share
Your foot upon the stair
Moving through the fair.
Your laughter will ring in my soul
Our hopes that will cling as they roll
Are not about glitter and gold
Love remains when all that has been sold.
The thing is
It's showbiz
All things will pass away
I need you now today
The rest will fade to grey.

The Extrardinary Girl

She's an extoraney girl
In a ordinary world
And she can't seem to get away

He lacks the courage in his mind
Like a child left behind
Like a pet left in the rain

She's all alone again
Whipping the tears form her eyes
Some days he feels like dying
She gets so sick of crying

She sees the mirror of herself
An image she wants to sell
To amyone willing to buy

He steals the image in her kiss
Form her hearts apocalypse
Form the one called whatsername

She's all alone again
Whipping the tears form her eyes

People

Im forever struck
By the people in this town
And the way they go about their world
Have they given up
All the fun they used to have in adolescent xanadu
Everything is too much time and trouble
They must be seen as being respectable
Theyre too busy with their social climbing
Waiting for a rise
Chorus.
Why cant people just be people
When they were young
They would wish for the summer evenings that would never end
Now the days too long
And the key to life is locked away in childhood memories
Some people judge a man as reasonable
If the wine he buys is seasonable
Theyve time for friendship if its advantageous
And causes no pain
Chorus:
Why are people so deceitful
Why cant people just be people
There is more to the world
Than is offered by the soap and war found on the tv screen
And there is more to this life
If you would only take the time to look within and find the key
Dont believe words when theyre superficial
Dont put your trust in values artificial
Let your heart do the talking for a little
And feel yourself shine
Chorus:
Why cant people trust in people
Why cant people just be people
Find the time and youll realise
Life isnt too much time and trouble
(repeat til fade)

A Delight of Love!

A kiss is want he wants from lady love,
But she doesn't have that culture ever!
Culture varies from nation to nation...;
Deep love between them transcends all!

Elite life they lead with love above all;
Fine behaviour is what they love ever!
Good thoughts always keep them high -
High above all norms and rules of society!

Ice cold reception they get everywhere; yet,
Joy and sorrow they take in the same way!
kicked off from the society's taboos they
Love at any cost to lead their life against all!

Men are bound by religion, culture, conventions
Nothing can change even after their futility....!
Oracles are not now say they are true ever....
People, but, go on believing and following them!

Queries of all kinds are set aside as unholy and
Restrictions they impose as cover to avoid truth!
Science & technology are religion now for civilization;
Truth always supports love as base for all joy...!

Universal brotherhood is best culture for all sure!
Versatile geniuses have appreciated love, brotherhood;
Women, Art and Nature are the testing grounds for truth!

Xanadu is the place of pleasure dome set on green meadow;
Yearnings of all kinds are relieved of there to lover's delight!
Zeal of living then cannot be shaken by all barriers there!

My Dear Sir

For Mr. GIL RAVAL

Bert may laugh at the height of his agility, bombard you with arguments how life is lived and wasted when spent on some musa velutina, bamburantas, or hibiscus rosa seninses, scarlet sages or butcher’s brooms,
But as you say it,
Some seeds simply need to be put in the punctures of the ground,
To put up the golden showers
Bursting, brushing to such a lush of green bushes
As I see it, you have an eye for wanton beauty
And as he has none
That is a major fault

How you viewed life must be seen through the eyelets of the ferns
The whole world viewed in the opulence of dancing ladies crowning
The decay of trees abandoned by the millipedes of boredoms

Life is a veranda lavished by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Tsaicovsky, with some Pavarotti, and Bocelli, Carmen, and Cossette or perhaps by Kazantzakis, and Rushdie

Or fettuccine

I plant an earthstar
So we look down to search its twinkles

You shall be my refuge, my hush
As I am a weary dragonfly

I have seen how you built a world of majestic mockery
Not much gold but greatly green
Hypnotic amidst the chaos

On this day, our narrow paths converge
And to my surprise, my footprints have same size as yours
Carrying the same marks (or even same brokenness)

Whoever knows me, knows you,
My fears drawn from yours, my hope springing from your source

I say, my dear sir, you have lived a good life and I shall be crafting mine

Behind the pompous stars
Unaffected by the nitpickiness of the ebbs of the moon’s tides

We let our eyes fall, malfunction, and even dissolve into tears, gone
We shall grow nothing but ears throughout our bodies

We are a listening duet
Listening to colors of the marguerite, the night scented jessamine, Xanadu, creeping jenny,
Or the angel’s trumpets

Listen to the notes of the words
The message according to the lashing green garden
The song of the freely flowing wind
And deep within a
Singing silence

Now, take the highest jump of the lightest flea
The last wish of my dream
Towards the endlessness

Kubla Khan

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree :
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round :
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree ;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

But oh ! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover !
A savage place ! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover !
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced :
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher's flail :
And 'mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean :
And 'mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
Ancestral voices prophesying war !
The shadow of the dome of pleasure
Floated midway on the waves ;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.
It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice !

A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw :
It was an Abyssinian maid,
And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight 'twould win me,
That with music loud and long,
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome ! those caves of ice !
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware ! Beware !
His flashing eyes, his floating hair !
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread,
For he on honey-dew hath fed,
And drunk the milk of Paradise.

Millenial Hymn to Lord Shiva

Earth no longer
hymns the Creator,
the seven days of wonder,
the Garden is over —
all the stories are told,
the seven seals broken
all that begins
must have its ending,
our striving, desiring,
our living and dying,
for Time, the bringer
of abundant days
is Time the destroyer —
In the Iron Age
the Kali Yuga
To whom can we pray
at the end of an era
but the Lord Shiva,
the Liberator, the purifier?

Our forests are felled,
our mountains eroded,
the wild places
where the beautiful animals
found food and sanctuary
we have desolated,
a third of our seas,
a third of our rivers
we have polluted
and the sea-creatures dying.
Our civilization’s
blind progress
in wrong courses
through wrong choices
has brought us to nightmare
where what seems,
is, to the dreamer,
the collective mind
of the twentieth century —
this world of wonders
not divine creation
but a big bang
of blind chance,
purposeless accident,
mother earth’s children,
their living and loving,
their delight in being
not joy but chemistry,
stimulus, reflex,
valueless, meaningless,
while to our machines
we impute intelligence,
in computers and robots
we store information
and call it knowledge,
we seek guidance
by dialling numbers,
pressing buttons,
throwing switches,
in place of family
our companions are shadows,
cast on a screen,
bodiless voices, fleshless faces,
where was the Garden
a Disney-land
of virtual reality,
in place of angels
the human imagination
is peopled with foot-ballers
film-stars, media-men,
experts, know-all
television personalities,
animated puppets
with cartoon faces —
To whom can we pray
for release from illusion,
from the world-cave,
but Time the destroyer,
the liberator, the purifier?

The curse of Midas
has changed at a touch,
a golden handshake
earthly paradise
to lifeless matter,
where once was seed-time,
summer and winter,
food-chain, factory farming,
monocrops for supermarkets,
pesticides, weed-killers
birdless springs,
endangered species,
battery-hens, hormone injections,
artificial insemination,
implants, transplants, sterilization,
surrogate births, contraception,
cloning, genetic engineering, abortion,
and our days shall be short
in the land we have sown
with the Dragon’s teeth
where our armies arise
fully armed on our killing-fields
with land-mines and missiles,
tanks and artillery,
gas-masks and body-bags,
our air-craft rain down
fire and destruction,
our space-craft broadcast
lies and corruption,
our elected parliaments
parrot their rhetoric
of peace and democracy
while the truth we deny
returns in our dreams
of Armageddon,
the death-wish, the arms-trade,
hatred and slaughter
profitable employment
of our thriving cities,
the arms-race
to the end of the world
of our postmodern,
post-Christian,
post-human nations,
progress to the nihil
of our spent civilization.
But cause and effect,
just and inexorable
law of the universe
no fix of science,
nor amenable god
can save from ourselves
the selves we have become —
At the end of history
to whom can we pray
but to the destroyer,
the liberator, the purifier?

In the beginning
the stars sang together
the cosmic harmony,
but Time, imperceptible
taker-away
of all that has been,
all that will be,
our heart-beat your drum,
our dance of life
your dance of death
in the crematorium,
our high-rise dreams,
Valhalla, Utopia,
Xanadu, Shangri-la, world revolution
Time has taken, and soon will be gone
Cambridge, Princeton and M.I.T.,
Nalanda, Athens and Alexandria
all for the holocaust
of civilization —
To whom shall we pray
when our vision has faded
but the world-destroyer,
the liberator, the purifier?

But great is the realm
of the world-creator,
the world-sustainer
from whom we come,
in whom we move
and have our being,
about us, within us
the wonders of wisdom,
the trees and the fountains,
the stars and the mountains,
all the children of joy,
the loved and the known,
the unknowable mystery
to whom we return
through the world-destroyer, —
Holy, holy
at the end of the world
the purging fire
of the purifier, the liberator!

A Million To One

A million to one, thats what our folks think about this love of ours.
A million to one, they say that our love will fade like yesterdays flowers.
Theyre betting everything that our love wont survive.
Theyre hoping in time well forget each others lives.
A million to one, they say were too young to know the meaning of love.
A million to one, that theyve forgotten the dream that were dreaming of.
But well forgive them because we love them, after all thats said and done.
Theres one in a million, a million to one.
A million to one, they say were too young to know the meaning of love.
A million to one, that theyve forgotten the dream that were dreaming of.
But well forgive them because we love them, after all thats said and done.

But well forgive them because we love them, after all thats said and done.
Theres one in a million, a million to one.
A million to one, they say were too young to know the meaning of love.
A million to one, that theyve forgotten the dream that were dreaming of.
But well forgive them because we love them, after all thats said and done.
Theres one in a million, a million to one.

The Real World

Excuse me sir,
Could you tell me how to get to the real world?
Oh o oh wow!
Uh huh, the world is a funny place
And its calling you names
Hey hey, the world is a funny place, heeeey
Oh o wow!
Oh wow in the real world walking around
I think Im falling in love again
Hey guardian angel - more light for falling in love
Oh wow!, hey hey
Ho ho the world is a funny place
And its calling you names
Hey hey, the world is a funny place heeeey
Oh wow!
Oh wow in the real world look at the sky
Hear the calling above again
Look mom an angel - all right for falling in love
Deep down in the sea of her
Life is surrounding
You can feel like a dove and then
Like a million rainbows
Here they come again, here they come again
They call it falling in love
They call it falling
Oh wow!
In the real world lookin around
I think Im falling in love with them
In the garden of angels
Ho ho were falling in love (oh wow!)
Hey hey its a real world
Look at the ground
Can you see your reflection there
Everything is single
Here we come again
Here we come again
Hey guardian angel
Open your eyes
And all the love will make you fly -- high
Real world, real world
Were in the real world
Falling in love again
Were in the real world (oh wow!)
Oh wow in the real world walking around
I think Im falling in love again
Hey guardian angel, more light for falling in love
Hey hey its a real world walking around
I think Im falling in love again
Hey guardian angel,
Here we come again, here we come again
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
They call it falling in love (hey)
Oh wow! hey!
Oh wow!

For A Million

Oh, I love to dance
Under an alien sun
Along the dunes with you, I kiss you in the sand
We give so that we live
Beside the sleepy snakes
They dream of you and me when will they ever end
For a million years they dream
For a million years they dream
And the fog conceals and hides and eats our souls
Before they open up their eyes again
How far well be
Remember me
Wont stop loving you, although it seems to be
Our time is running out, Im leaving you behind
No matter what they say, wed never meet again
Our love is bigger than our lives
And we know that yesterday
The moon was brown
And that today it is black
And that tomorrow it is red
And we know that when we go to the sun
The moon comes along
(hello there!)
And the cows in the pasture graze
And we know that we know what we know
Is it truth?
