Bengali In Platforms
Bengali, bengali
Bengali, bengali
No no no
He does not want to depress you
Oh no no no no no
He only wants to impress you
Oh..
Bengali in platforms
He only wants to embrace your culture
And to be your friend forever
Forever
Bengali, bengali
Bengali, bengali
Oh, shelve your western plans
And understand
That life is hard enough when you belong here
A silver-studded rim that glistens
And an ankle-star that ... blinds me
A lemon sole so very high
Which only reminds me; to tell you
Break the news gently
Break the news to him gently
Shelve your plans; shelve your plans, shelve them
Bengali, bengali
Its the touchy march of time that binds you
Dont blame me
Dont hate me
Just because Im the one to tell you
That life is hard enough when you belong here
That life is hard enough when you belong here
Oh...
Shelve your western plans
Oh...
Shelve your western plans
cause life is hard enough when you belong
Life is hard enough when you belong here
Oh...
Shelve your western plans
Oh...
Shelve your best friends
cause life is hard when you belong here
Oh...
Life is hard enough when you belong

15th August to Bengali people
Mourn
It's a command I demmand you
mourn, fool and so ignorant
you must mourn
History is clear, amazingly open
and you still say you don't know that
a pity, I must say you should mourn,
you deserve no sympathy, you lost all
In this caged race, they will dominate, a few
and you so enormous don't understand
what you lost, your root
you must mourn, you want deception, prefer ambiguity
afraid! I have no sympathy
my poor fellow, beloved countrymen
you must mourn.
Note: Bengali people still today say they don't know the real history of their liberation war. What a shame! Actually everybody knows the history because there is no two story. we faught and liberate our country. And then some collabratore killed the Father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 15th August 1975. To confuse all they say we do not know the real history of liberation war. but actually there is no real history, as history is one. And it is, Sheikh Mujib was the mastermind of our leberation. A handfull of Biheris and west pakistany settlers and their sympathesizers run the country after 1975 and still conspiring against Bengali people. they speak in Bengali, but they hate Bengali. and Bengali people do not still understand this and do not realize what they lost. Alas!

The Everyday Banglishman

Only when I am bimar
Soothes the wounded throat
One culture amar left aat dorse
Aroh culture amar dine aat dorse
Torn between du ta culture
Amar bath immigrate horsla in the sixties
In search of the land of dood and modu,
And food and money
Some of my relatives live in Bangladeshes in London,
Much of Tower Hamlet is Bengali territory
Brick Lane, Whitechapel and Shadwell to name a few
With markets selling mangoes, jackfruits, saaris
The smell of meat and fish is not far off
Manuush ar manuush bangla matoin
You see we are suffering, parents don't understand
Only the youth. Being brought up to love Bengali life
In another country.
Also some white folks tell me to go home
England is my home!
Ami jani na where I belong
In the land of my parents
Whose favourite food is curry
Or the land of my birthplace
Whose favourite food is curry
