Winters End
Sometimes it seems like winters end
The weeks they just go on like a friend of mine
The sadness it has left a trace
I think that you can see that on my face again
Cause it always made things better
Now my days seem so much better
Now my days seem so much quieter
And I know
Yeh I know
It will never be the same again
Sometimes I feel my hands are tied
I need someone to come and cut these ropes of mine
Theyll wear a coat of wind and rain
To drive away the fears that I cant face again
And they always make things better
And my days seem so much quieter

Ants Marchin (1995)
He wakes up in the morning
Does his teeth bite to eat and he's rolling
Never changes A THING
The week ends, the week begins
She thinks, we look at eachother
Wondering what the other is thinking
But we never say a thing
And these crimes between us grow deeper
Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die
Goes to visit his mommy
She feeds him well, has concerns he forgets them
And remembers being small
Playing under the table and dreaming
Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die
Driving along this highway
All these cars end up on the sidewalk
People in every direction
No words exchanged, no time to exchange
Ohhh and...
All the little ants are marching
Red and black antennae waving
They all do it the same
They all do it the same...way
Candy man tempting the thoughts of a
Sweet tooth tourtured by the weight loss
Program cutting the corners
Loose end, loose end cut cut
On the fence, not to offend
Cut cut cut cut
Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die

No retreat. No retreat. They must conquer or die who've no retreat.
The Lady's Second Song
WHAT sort of man is coming
To lie between your feet?
What matter, we are but women.
Wash; make your body sweet;
I have cupboards of dried fragrance.
I can strew the sheet.
The Lord have mercy upon us.
He shall love my soul as though
Body were not at all,
He shall love your body
Untroubled by the soul,
Love cram love's two divisions
Yet keep his substance whole.
The Lord have mercy upon us.
Soul must learn a love that is
proper to my breast,
Limbs a Love in common
With every noble beast.
If soul may look and body touch,
Which is the more blest?
The Lord have mercy upon us.

Shelia Loves Deeply
I want you to tell me that you need me-
is that so hard?
I want you to see me and not turn away.
I carve sometimes even a gentle glance
or better
a soft touch and softer voice saying
'are you ok? '
Rejection cuts like a dull knife
and kindness is a hurtful stranger
when not freely given and often
even if a substitute
for love
abandoned
Seeing you retreat inward
crushes my soul
and make me feel weak-
to weak to make it stop-
too weak to reach out-
and draw you out-
to weak to even cry sometimes.
No greater pain
than the pain of feeling unloved;
no greater din
than the din of silence.
No arm shorter than
the one which one
which wants to reach out
but is always too short from the lover in retreat
no hand ghostlier than the one which reaches out just after you have turned away.
So sex even is spiritless
yet it is better than
the cigarettes and beer
haze in which I sometimes find you
at three am TV snowing.
Worse, for any woman
or any man
beyond even all this
is the unmistakable sense
that you long for that something else
foraging with your eyes
to some stranger passer-by;
and I cannot re-direct
those longing looks
back my way
intoning in my soul;
'Don't you see
I am the one who loves you.'
We are the ghost ship
drifting upon the dead sea
and yet
curse me for the time being-
I'd rather drift in this maelstrom
with you
than anyone else;
so deep is my love.

Do not assume that she who seeks to comfort you now, lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you good. Her life may also have much sadness and difficulty, that remains far beyond yours. Were it otherwise, she would never have been able to find these words.

Never Sound Retreat
A hard fought battle you have won
This graduation day;
We fill with pride to know you still
Stand steadfast on the way.
We know you often lost your poise
And longed to sound retreat,
Until some inner strength took charge
And saved you from defeat.
Life's many battles yet to come
May test you to the core;
For every one you lose, there will
Be victories in store.
Stand firm for what you know is right,
Believe you can't be beat;
If doubts prevail then search for help,
But never sound retreat.
Just persevere and strive to step
In cadence with life's beat;
With fear and fight and faith, my son,
You'll never sound retreat-
You'll never sound retreat.
My eldest son struggled all through
high school and was now facing a stint
in the military, during the Vietnam War

Restless soul
Am I a restless soul.
A soul to be lost.
A soul not quite whole.
Im to be a restless soul
Of one that is on a search.
To find myself again.
Restles am I
A soul possed.
A soul taken.
A soul not my own.
Im to be a restless soul
Untill I find myself
Once more

On A Mountain Top
On this high altar, fringed with ferns
That darken against the sky,
The dawn in lonely beauty burns
And all our evils die.
The struggling sea that roared below
Is quieter than the dew,
Quieter than the clouds that flow
Across the stainless blue.
On this bare crest, the angels kneel
And breathe the sweets that rise
From flowers too little to reveal
Their beauty to our eyes.
I have seen Edens on the earth
With queenly blooms arrayed;
But here the fairest come to birth,
The smallest flowers He made.
O, high above the sounding pine,
And richer, sweeter far,
The wild thyme wakes. The celandine
Looks at the morning star.
They may not see the heavens unfold.
They breathe no out-worn prayer;
But, on a mountain, as of old,
His glory fills the air.

Searching soul
A soul is searching.
It wants the answers it seeks.
Why did I have to go through it.
Why the hell pick me.
Im nothing special.
I dont stand out from the crowds.
A soul searches.
To find its self
A soul wants to be replenished.
A soul has searched
For so very long.
A soul is to search
Maybe the answers
It will never no.
A soul has searched
And never found
What it wants and needs.
A soul could search forever
And never find it

Ode to passion
I say, too much passion in us poets,
like a touch of a thousand
saccharine taste invading our veins,
we cannot restrain, we
cannot condemned the only reason for our being,
passion is what keeps us breathing,
passion can make us see it all
different than others,
not to cease, not to die
or give-up, passion grows in our soul,
it reminds us it is there
every minute of our day,
when we need to count the hours
to get to him/her.
Passion is the sedactive to our worst day.
The essential of reason,
the way to a path,
to rivers and streams that find our dreams,
passion is a vessel making a net
reaching our heart our souls
keeping the beat louder and quieter in waves
frequencies, passion is vigor,
is a sparkle in our heart that continually
beats violently and has no outcome.
Passion is un 'Corazon salvaje'.

A Hand To Hold
A hand to hold
An ear to listen
A heart to love
A mind thoughtful
A soul to stand beside
Ever present, reliable
the unchanging desire
untroubled by the weather
steadfast through any storm
a voice gently speaking
you are not alone
for here you have
a hand to hold

Love Will Find A Way
You wanna get close to me
The feeling so clear
But I need some time to see
Vision through my tear
You wanna get next to me
I need your intrusion
I dont need to be
Blinded by confusion
Here is my heart
Waiting for you
Here is my soul
I eat at chez nous
Love will find a way
If you want it to
Love will find a way
Love will find a way for me and you
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
So you want to get over me
And thats how you feel
Everything you want to be
Seems so unreal
I want to be all of you
And thats the confusion
Its so hard for me
To draw a conclusion
Here is my heart
Waiting for you
Here is my soul
I eat at chez nous
Love will find a way
If you want it to
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
If you want it to
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
Love will find a way
I believe that theres a way
If you want it to
Will love find a way
Love will find a way
Will love find a way

It may be quieter to sleep alone, but not warmer.
The soul of your heart
as you return to start for a new day, never surrender,
retreat as it goes, forward not to stop, but stay so as
you go in the day of today, where your heart calm your
soul to say that you’re on your way, of yesterday
before today
reaching out is what you always want to explore,
the highway of change never returns, it passes only
once more, it run motionless and see never stop, the
road is so stormy and the day is to dark, and if the
light shine above nobody can' say please stop, for
every leaving there always a soul that falls
as the heart comes to tear and the soul comes to
break the angels wish to end the soul that call, the day
has widen the entrance to all, while the journey of bells
always ring, the departed soul cried, leaving behind the
heart that mourn, to the heavens reborn
wisdom the heart and let the soul rejoice, the emptiness
have opened to the soul, of the heart that call.... have
mercy oh! my Dear God

Blitz Of Lightning
When its nice and easy
He can handle the fear
He thought he was burning
With all the pain he had
Then his smile was gone
He didnt know where he was
Cant you hear him cry
This time he is alive
Hes out to seek and find
To find his own style in time
No more retreat but fight
So be aware and watch the night, watch the night
Hello world, here I am
Dont you fool me again
Im like a blitz of lightning
So get outta my way
Every night and day
The lightning strikes again
Then he came to the point
He could believe in his life
A different soul was born
He must no more deny
But he wants to forget
His old rotten desires
No more pain - no more cries
All those things are behind
Hes out to seek and find
To find his own style in time
No more retreat but fight
So be aware and watch the night, watch the night
Hello world, here I am
Dont you fool me again
Im like a blitz of lightning
So get outta my way
Every night and day
The lightning strikes again
Hello world, here I go
Dont fool me, oh no
Im like a rolling thunder
The storys been told
And my blood runs cold
It wont be all the same
It will never be the same again
Hello world, here I am
Dont you fool me again
Im like a blitz of lightning
So get outta my way
Every night and day
The lightning strikes again
Hello world, here I go
Dont fool me, oh no
Im like a rolling thunder
Now the die is cast
Chances are vast
It wont be all the same
Hello world, here I am
Dont you fool me again
Im like a blitz of lightning
The storys been told
And my blood runs cold
It wont be all the same
Hello world...
