The neurotic and the artist - since both live out the unconscious of the race - reveal to us what is going to emerge endemically in the society later on.

I'm afraid of making a mistake. I'm not totally neurotic, but I'm pretty neurotic about it. I'm as close to totally neurotic as you can get without being totally neurotic.

I try not to be but I'm super-neurotic about diet. I'm neurotic about trying not to be neurotic! I'm like every other girl. I have to try really hard my whole life to try to be fit. And I'm super-vain. And I want to wear cute clothes.

Unlock That Box!
Everybody knows.
You're behind closed doors.
Wishing to live a life you hide.
But afraid to step outside.
So...
Unlock that box!
You like to peep but get on out.
Too many people keep their wishes swept away.
To have their walls upon them fall...
As they dry to rot and fade.
Unlock that box!
Get out and walk the block.
And stop playing the game with life,
Of love or love me not.
Everybody knows.
You're behind closed doors.
Wishing to live a life you hide.
But afraid to step outside.
So...
Unlock that box!
Or...
Get somebody who will prove,
That you can move and do it!
Don't be neurotic you can do something about it.
Unlock that box.
Why you choose to be neurotic.
Unlock that box.
You can do something about it.
Unlock that box.
You're like an addict on narcotics.
And everybody knows you're there behind closed doors.
Unlock that box.
Why you choose to be neurotic.
Unlock that box.
You can do something about it.
Unlock that box.
You're like an addict on narcotics.
Unlock that box.
Why you choose to be neurotic.
Unlock that box.
You're like an addict on narcotics.
Unlock that box!
You can do something about it.
Unlock that box!
You're hypnotized and neurotic.
Unlock that box.
You're like an addict on narcotics.
Unlock that box!
You're hypnotized and neurotic.
Unlock that box.
You're like an addict on narcotics.
Unlock that box!

Lost words of mine
Can you untwine
Reveal yourself to me
Without the sympathy
Oh wisdom I’ve acquired
Understanding I aspire
Can you clarify the mysteries
Of my unconscious philosophies
Do I use my heavenly gifts?
For self centered drifts
Should I cast my pearls
Before the feet of swine
Less the hypocrites sit down to dine
Will the breeze that blows ashore
Provide the answer to all abroad
When burdened clouds thus release
Does patients wait for rain to cease
Oh wisdom, time acquired
Understanding so long aspired
Reveal yourself to me
Without apologies
Lost words of mine
Can you truly untwine
My inner most intricacies
Or my unconscious philosophies

I see little of more importance to the future of our country and of civilization than full recognition of the place of the artist. If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him.

Reveal Yourself
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself.
Life on earth is so bizarre,
We must find a way to fulfill,
What we really are,
Yes its true,
I love you,
And theres nothing you do thats wrong,
Find values of your own.
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
On the living room floor,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Till there isnt anymore.
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
For there are places even you dont know.
Reveal yourself,
For life is nothing but a movie show,
Or free yourself,
Your heart,
Your mind,
Your soul,
Your sanity,
Just got to see it,
Smell it,
Know that its reality.
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Doesnt matter anymore,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Till there isnt anymore.
There are no rules where life is concerned,
Our past must be burned,
For theres nothing we have learned,
And its true,
I believe that we must all be free,
Immortal you and me.
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
On the living room floor,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Till there isnt anymore,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
And maybe youll go down in history.
Oh, how much longer must your life remain a mystery,
It doesnt matter if youre thick and fat or thin and long,
You must find out exactly where it is that you belong.
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Doesnt matter anymore,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
On the living room floor,
Reveal yourself,
For there are places even you dont know,
Reveal yourself,
For life is nothing but a movie show,
Reveal yourself,
Your heart,
Your mind,
Your soul,
Your sanity,
Just got to see it,
Smell it,
Know thats its reality,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
Reveal yourself,
It doesnt matter if the world thinks youre right or wrong,
Reveal yourself.

The anguish of the neurotic individual is the same as that of the saint. The neurotic, the saint are engaged in the same battle. Their blood flows from similar wounds. But the first one gasps and the other one gives.

Vande Matharam
Not to thy knowledge of information cognizant
That credentialed people value intelligence
Not to thy nucleus of power-plant
Thy children rocket on par excellence
Not to thy progressing industries eminent
Concerned much to mint global wealthiness
Not to thy soulful populous effort
Endemically to eradicate illness
Not to thy efficacy of art, architect
Gleaming in society's ethnic fields
O' Mother India, our obeisance
But to thy valorous martyred quest
Thy sons fought for independence
That they manured a soil-fest
Themselves strewn blood-shed to fertilize
Their hopes sown to result
In reaping peace in abundance
A reformation of a fertile harvest
A progression essential in economic race
Vande Matharam! Vande Matharam!
Also to thy souls who deeply support
In times to save thy populace
Defending thy bravery on peril and threat
This day even in wars and clashes
With brimming cheers of grateful heart
Vande Matharam! Vande Matharam!

The product of the artist has become less important than the fact of the artist. We wish to absorb this person. We wish to devour someone who has experienced the tragic. In our society this person is much more important than anything he might create.

With Wishes To Provoke and Defame
A history kept that has been embellished,
And exaggerated when told...
Eventually weakens a diminishing society,
By those who choose to battle to keep...
Comforts and customs unravelling,
From delusions fed to reveal an absence...
Of substance.
And depleted they are of an integrity...
That fears an unbeatable truth that pursues,
With brutal reality.
'You speak as if you are not part of this? '
I am just an observer.
Like many with abilities,
Depicted and ignored as insignificant.
And from where I stand...
There has been some benefit,
To being considered invisible.
Although, periodically, I am found to blame,
By those with wishes to provoke and defame...
Contibutions made but stolen by those who claim,
Them as their own.
Idiotic and dangerous are those unconscious actions taken!

A request to society
Foetus -
A request to society
Don't abort us in hasty
I will thank you wholeheartedly!
Newborn girl child -
A request to society
Don't poison us prematurely
Allow us to live; We might
light the lamp in your family!
A newly-wed bride -
A request to society
Not to indulge in bride burning
for the sake of dowry!
A grown up woman -
A request to society
Women are part of everyone's family
Consider us to live peacefully!

An artist never works under ideal conditions. If they existed, his work wouldn't exist, for the artist doesn't live in a vacuum. Some sort of pressure must exist. The artist exists because the world is not perfect. Art would be useless if the world were perfect, as man wouldn't look for harmony but would simply live in it. Art is born out of an ill-designed world. This is the issue in Andrey Rubliov.

Low Society
A judge a dentist or physician
In this low society
Trade ambition for position
In this low society
Have you heard its in the stars
Next july we collide with mars
Have you heard it in the bars
In this low society
No more pay and lots of leisure
In this low society
Low society
Im just doing what I can
In this low society
But Im an incidental man
In this low society
I give away what others sell
The secrets yours so never tell
cos if you do youll go to hell
Low society
Side by side and always tired
All for one and no-one hired
All thats left is love inspired
Low society
And when the party is complete
And youre still standing on your feet
The taste of victory is sweet
Low society
And darling dont forget
In this low society
To turn off your t.v. set
In this low society
The most important thing at all
In this low society
Is not to stand too tall
In this low society
In this world that never learns
I can see rome as it burns
All the passion and the power
Turns to ash within an hour
No more play and no more pleasure
In this low society

Doubt is to certainty as neurosis is to psychosis. The neurotic is in doubt and has fears about persons and things; the psychotic has convictions and makes claims about them. In short, the neurotic has problems, the psychotic has solutions.
