I was not looking for my dreams to interpret my life, but rather for my life to interpret my dreams.

The unutterable Brotherhood
My elder brother and best friend 'Lalith' who taught me to read & write
And lot of things about the fading life.
He is a good chess player, photographer and sailor as same as a rare good human being.
I am worried of him being a bachelor.
He too writes poetry and I received a letter today including this sad poem;
All the trees,
All the singing birds,
And the little fish in the pond,
Even the gentle wind
That blows through the garden,
Yes...., all of them
All, except the flowers in the garden
Understand my heart very well.........
When I interpret my dreams
They become desires
And when I interpret my desires
They become dreams again........

It is easier to learn to interpret dreams if you have a reason to use them for something constructive. You apply your dream insights to making constructive changes in your life.

I like to interpret 'Call me a River', as if I'm saying, 'Now you're telling me you love me after all that, and I'm telling you to shove off.' That's my interpretation. But I would never 'say' that because somebody else might interpret the song in another way.

Advanced Calculus
Life is a series of reflex responses
That become learned patterns the more we do them
That become equations the more we interpret what we are doing,
And everything in our life can be boiled down to a matrix
Of numbers, coded as experience and stimuli,
And all I want to know is what the last digit is,
What that fraction of numerical meaning might pose,
How I could interpret it and extricate some sort of purpose from it,
But the numbers don't exactly add up to me,
And I was never so good at advanced calculus,
So maybe a chunk of this universal dialect doesn't make sense to me,
Doesn't formulate a language I can readily understand,
But maybe, just maybe, I hope that I might proselytize the date,
And that it might inform me, though so far it hasn't,
Making me more fearful, in fact, afraid of the possibility
That there is no reason to anything at all.

Your Visit With Aging
I don't know why,
You believed I was older than you.
I use to be.
But you and aging have become much closer.
And it seems as if you have been convinced,
To interpret every year you have lived as a struggle.
I'm not trying to interpret my life that way at all.
When aging came to visit me,
I told it to make itself at home.
And if I choose to do what I please...
I'm not making an effort to be rude.
But neither am I going to sit with it to reminisced,
The good old days.
Too much everyday for me is new!
And...
I didn't feel I had to excuse myself from it to explore.
I just do.
You on the other hand...
Seem to want to impress aging,
As a depiction you believe is an acceptable process.
Hey,
We all have our interpretations.
However...
Yours appears to be a bit exaggerated.
But I aint mad at you!
What your visit with aging is like.

Poetician
Discipline to listen,
Observe and interpret.
Words selected to depict,
Life...
As one sees it.
Emotions come,
To overflow
With idealistic purpose.
Unknown until the poetician shows...
A creativeness that lifts imaginations.
In prose or to rhyme...
Sometimes without reason.
So it seems.
Yet those hopes and dreams,
Are written to be shared.
To freshen the air...
With the flow of possibilities!
Upon divergent mindscapes.

Wedding-Hymn
Thou God, whose high, eternal Love
Is the only blue sky of our life,
Clear all the Heaven that bends above
The life-road of this man and wife.
May these two lives be but one note
In the world's strange-sounding harmony,
Whose sacred music e'er shall float
Through every discord up to Thee.
As when from separate stars two beams
Unite to form one tender ray:
As when two sweet but shadowy dreams
Explain each other in the day:
So may these two dear hearts one light
Emit, and each interpret each.
Let an angel come and dwell to-night
In this dear double-heart, and teach!

Dreams
When then a child I had brave dreams of things that might just be
As I grow older so it seems those dreams are part of me
The longing and the wistfulness that out of dreams are made
Are by life's beauty lesser things and fall into the shade
Of what is real and what is not and so our dreams become
The hope that lies inside of us and forever drives us on
For dreams are dreams when all is said and dreams are wafer thin
And the magic that we have in life comes only from within.

Based on Biased Physicality
Do not feel a need you can share with me,
That 'your' life sucks.
Or interpret your situation,
As a bonding mechanism in belief...
There is a commonness of a 'we'
Coming together in a mental rut.
Your reasoning and perceptions,
Are based on biased physicality.
If things were economically fine with you...
You'd have nothing to do with me.
And this is clear to me as it can be.
Do not feel a need you can share with me,
That 'your' life sucks.
Or interpret your situation,
As a bonding mechanism in belief...
There is a commonness of a 'we'
Coming together in a mental rut.
What makes you think your sufferings,
Can compare or identify with mine?
I've never found the time to whine and complain.
Or talk or laugh behind the back of anyone...
To perceive myself in a better place,
And I should put them to shame!
Does any of this sound familiar?
Your reasoning and perceptions,
Are based on biased physicality.
If things were economically fine with you...
You'd have nothing to do with me.
And this is clear to me as it can be.
Do not interpret your current situation,
As a bonding mechanism in belief...
There is a commonness of a 'we'
Coming together in a mental rut...
Because of the present economy!
If there is anything I feel you must know about me...
Know me not to ever be 'shallow'.

Only an artist can interpret the meaning of life.
This Is the Kind of Life
We all interpret life,
On our own terms.
What is accepted...
Rejected and neglected,
Is a process that is taught.
This 'show and tell' conditioning,
Is learned and consciously sought!
We are born to believe,
What is fed to us.
This 'feeding' is received...
And what is perceived,
We with others retrieve with like minds!
Preferring to find those of the same kind,
With like 'experiences' shared without fear!
And fear keeps us all indoctrinated to accept doubt!
Isn't that what marketing peace is about?
With the realization it will never be found...
As we rely on the production of conflict and confusion,
To always be identified!
Knowing that as well as we do.
And hoping this in our lives stays around!
We all interpret life,
On our own terms.
What is accepted...
Rejected and neglected,
Is a process that is taught.
This 'show and tell' conditioning,
Is learned and consciously sought!
And is kept alive to thrive...
In comfort zones,
Until the day we die!
Leaving those who defy these 'truths'...
Spilling their guts out in confession booths.
Or squeezing themselves to sit in pews...
As they listen to hypocrites from pulpits preach,
To leech on minds already screwed and confused!
And this is the kind of life,
We all have come to love!
Listening to teachings,
That 'demons' from hell have no wings...
Allowing to be demoralized on Sunday,
Learning more about the devil...
As we hear these 'disciples' sing!
And this is the kind of life,
We all have come to love!
We all interpret life,
On our own terms.
What is accepted...
Rejected and neglected,
Is a process that is taught.
This 'show and tell' conditioning,
Is learned and consciously sought!

To Dr X.
I'm getting a little paranoid
At the way you interpret my dreams,
Accusing me of sexy schemes
With all the cunning of a drunk psychiatrist
Who beats his children
'Cos he never gets kissed.
I'm getting rather annoyed -
You tell me not to smoke but to take my pills -
Is this how you get your thrills?
To hell with you and Sigmund Freud
I'm going out to get pissed! !

I don't dream songs. I'm more apt to write dreams down and then to be able to interpret them into a song. I also tend to get up and write prose in the morning from which will come songs.

What Dreams Are Made Of
hey now
hey now
hey now
hey now
have you ever seen such a beautiful night
i could almost kiss the stars for shining so bright
when i see you smiling i go uh oh oh
i would never want to miss this
cause in my heart i know what this is
hey now hey now this is what dreams are made of
hey now hey now this is what dreams are made of
i've got somewhere i belong
i've got somebody to love
this is what dreams are made of
have you ever wondered what life is about
you could search the world and never figure it out
you dont have to sail the oceans uh no no
happyness is no mystery
it's here and now it's you and me
hey now hey now this is what dremas are made of
hey now hey now this is what dreams are made of
i've got somewhere i belong
i've got somebody to love
this is what dreams are made of
open your eyes(this is what dreams are made of)
shout to the sky( this is what dreams are made of)
when i see you smiling i go uh oh oh
yesterday my life was life was color
now everything's technocolored
hey now hey now this is what dreams are made of
hey now hey now this is what dreams are made of
i've got somewhere i belong
i've got somebody to love
this is what dreams are made of
