Better be wise by the misfortunes of others than by your own.

We are easily comforted for the misfortunes of our friends, when those misfortunes give us an occasion of expressing our affection and solicitude.

It is — or seems to be — a wise sort of thing, to realise that all that happens to a man in this life is only by way of joke, especially his misfortunes, if he have them. And it is also worth bearing in mind, that the joke is passed round pretty liberally & impartially, so that not very many are entitled to fancy that they in particular are getting the worst of it.

Wise Up
Got myself in this situation,
Im not sure about.
Climbing in where theres temptation,
Can I get back out?
I never can quite find the answer,
The one I want to hear.
The one that justifies my action
Says the coast is clear.
Something on the outside
Says to jump on in,
But something on the inside
Is telling me again,
Chorus:
Better wise up.
Better think twice.
Never leave room for compromise.
You better wise up.
Better get smart.
And use your head to guard your heart.
Its gonna get rough,
So you better wise up.
Take a look at your intentions,
When you have to choose.
Could it be that apprehension,
Might be telling you,
To back off now is better,
So take your heart and run.
But get your thoughts together,
Before they come undone.
(repeat chorus)
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice.
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to.)
To back off now is better,
So take your heart and run.
But get your thoughts together,
Before they come undone.
(repeat chorus)
So you better wise up.
Better think twice.
And never leave room for compromise.
Oh, you better wise up.
Better get smart.
And use your head to guard your heart.
Its gonna get rough,
So you better wise up.
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (hohhhh!)
You got to wise up. (oh, yeah!)
You got to. you got to.)
So you better wise up, now....
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (better wise up, yall!)
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to. (oh, yeah!))
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (better...)
You got to wise up. (oh, you better wise up, now....)
You got to. you got to. (ohhhhh, yeah!!!))
(you got to wise up. (hoo! hoo, hoo, hoo, hoooooooo-hoo!!)
You got to think twice.
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to. (oh, got to show yo, yeah!))
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (hoaa!! oowwwww!!!)
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to.)

My Awesome God
(08/25/11)
GOD is so awesome- I must say
He gave me the answer to my problem
In just one day.
Then he gave me good news which
I was longing to hear.
That my new grand Childs heart is in repair.
I also found two nephews on the internet
And I can’t get over that yet.
We were shown that misfortunes
Usually come in threes.
But on this particular day
He just wanted to please.
So he put things in reverse
So that I can see- that not all misfortunes
Are really meant to be.
GOD is so awesome - on that I can’t deny
And on his love, I do rely.
Haven’t there been times in your life
That you was at the end of your rope
And things was going so bad
And you thought that you couldn’t cope.
You felt like water swirling in a funnel
Then you saw the light at the end of that tunnel.
You was no longer drowning, and your head
Was at the top, and the headaches that you had
All seemed to stop.
“That” is my awesome GOD!

A cry for help
the evils that are done in this country
are too great for the ears alone to hear
they are too much for the eyes alone to see
for the those who promised to lead us
to the promised wonder land makes us sin
they make life too hard for the voiceless
for good and evil they skillfully interchange
light they have replaced with darkness
and make bitter sweet life
for wise they are in their own self conceit
in their own sight they are most prudent
and when in the court of justice
the wicked are justified
if would pass a handfull of money in the back
the righteous is denied his right to justice
in favour of themselves are decrees made
they prescribe and write down other's misfortunes
the needy they rob of the nothing they have

The unhappy derive comfort from the misfortunes of others.
Ignorance of one's misfortunes is clear gain.
