Moonchild
Call her moonchild
Dancing in the shallows of a river
Lovely moonchild
Dreaming in the shadow
Of the willow.
Talking to the trees of the
Cobweb strange
Sleeping on the steps of a fountain
Waving silver wands to the
Night-birds song
Waiting for the sun on the mountain.
Shes a moonchild
Gathering the flowers in a garden.
Lovely moonchild
Drifting on the echoes of the hours.
Sailing on the wind
In a milk white gown
Dropping circle stones on a sun dial
Playing hide and seek
With the ghosts of dawn
Waiting for a smile from a sun child.

Moonchild, moonchild
All day long I wait for the sun to disappear
So I can free myself in the cool night air
Take down my hair and feel the wind on my shoulders
With every breeze I feel my heart grow bolder and bolder

Moonchild, love it when your light shines down on me
Moonchild, want someone to dance the dream
Moonchild, wrap me up beneath the stars
Moonchild, come to me when the night grows dark
Tell me who you are, moonchild
I swear that I can feel your arms around me now

Moonchild
Seven deadly sins
Seven ways to win
Seven holy paths to hell
And your trip begins
Seven downward slopes
Seven bloodied hopes
Seven are your burning fires
Seven your desires
I am the bornless one
The fallen angel watching you
Babylon the scarlet whore
Ill infiltrate your gratitude
Dont you dare to save your son
Kill him now and save the young ones
Be the mother of a birth strangled babe
Be the devils own lucifers my name
Moonchild - hear the mandrake scream
Moonchild - open the seventh seal
Moonchild - youll be mine soon child
Moonchild - take my hand tonight
I count the heads of those unborn
The accursed ones Ill find them all
If you die by your own hand
As a suicide you shall be damned
And if you try to save your soul
I will torment you - you shall not grow old
With every second and passing breath
Youll be so alone your soul will bleed to death
The twind they are exhausted seven is the night
Gemini is rising as the red lips kiss to bite
Seven angels seven demons battle for his soul
When gabriel lies sleeping this child was born to die
One more dies one more lives
One baby cries one mother grieves
For all the sins you will commit
Youll beg forgiveness and none Ill give
A web of fear shall be your coat
To clothe you in the night
A lucky escape for now young man
But Ill see you damned in endless night

About The Moon
While in china at night on the great wall
By a hill, there he writes about the moon
His shadow his flute and his
Cup of rice wine,
Then he sings for a while
And sleeps under a sky of stars
On a blanket of soft grass,
When he immigrated
To the American city
He writes differently now
About the moon
As the companionless
wanderer
The head of a murdered man
Rolling on the floor
Uncontained by a sack
A moon
Or some kind of a fluorescent
Truant
A silver circular corpse
Infected with AIDS,
That corpuscle confusing
And ovulating
Him, spoon feeding
Her with so much longing
Date-rape drug, where she howls like
A bitch
To the moon in that great American
City
I just like it here,
The moon is still my
Moonchild
my fair lady of the night
In all shining glory
Above the mango tree,
In this little country..

Diya
Look, Dear, how bright the moonlight is to-night!
See where it casts the shadow of that tree
Far out upon the grass. And every gust
Of light night wind comes laden with the scent
Of opening flowers which never bloom by day:
Night-scented stocks, and four-o'clocks, and that
Pale yellow disk, upreared on its tall stalk,
The evening primrose, comrade of the stars.
It seems as though the garden which you love
Were like a swinging censer, its incense
Floating before us as a reverent act
To sanctify and bless our night of love.
Tell me once more you love me, that 't is you
Yes, really you, I touch, so, with my hand;
And tell me it is by your own free will
That you are here, and that you like to be
Just here, with me, under this sailing pine.
I need to hear it often for my heart
Doubts naturally, and finds it hard to trust.
Ah, Dearest, you are good to love me so,
And yet I would not have it goodness, rather
Excess of selfishness in you to need
Me through and through, as flowers need the sun.
I wonder can it really be that you
And I are here alone, and that the night
Is full of hours, and all the world asleep,
And none can call to you to come away;
For you have given all yourself to me
Making me gentle by your willingness.
Has your life too been waiting for this time,
Not only mine the sharpness of this joy?
Dear Heart, I love you, worship you as though
I were a priest before a holy shrine.
I'm glad that you are beautiful, although
Were you not lovely still I needs must love;
But you are all things, it must have been so
For otherwise it were not you. Come, close;
When you are in the circle of my arm
Faith grows a mountain and I take my stand
Upon its utmost top. Yes, yes, once more
Kiss me, and let me feel you very near
Wanting me wholly, even as I want you.
Have years behind been dark? Will those to come
Bring unguessed sorrows into our two lives?
What does it matter, we have had to-night!
To-night will make us strong, for we believe
Each in the other, this is a sacrament.
Beloved, is it true?

Nightboat
Standing on the edge of the quay
No light flashes on the water for me
Fog in my mind darkness in my eyes
Silently screaming for a distant sound
Ripple river yellows
Rising for a breath of breeding and drowns
Stillness overcomes me in the night
Listen to the rising water moan
Waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Im waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Shadows all through me shudder away
Echo me echo me am I alone
Or is the river alive cause it
Echoes me echoes me echoes me
Im waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Im waiting
Im waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Im waiting for the nightboat

The Ghosts Of The Bunurong
On the sand dunes at Powlett river in the dead of the night
Dark shadows are moving in the faint moonlight
The Ghosts of the Bunurong dance their Corroborees
In a circle they jig to the music of the breeze.
And as they dance they sing an old Dreamtime song
This Country to their spirits always belong
When white people are sleeping the black tribes come out
And they sing on the sand dunes as they dance about.
The old ghosts of the Dreamtime have not gone away
Like the frogmouths they hide from the bright lamp of day
But on the stroke of midnight they come out from the trees
And they dance on the sand by the southern seas.
The ghosts of the Bunurong they have not died
They dance in the moonlight on the beach at low tide
And by old Powlett river their old Countryside
At dawn they return to their old trees to hide
From the bright lamp of day but on the stroke of midnight
They dance on the sand dunes in the faint moonlight
And to the music of the breeze they sing their Dreamtime song
This Country to their spirits always belong.

Whose Garden Was This?
This song appears on two albums, and was first released on the whose garden was this? album, and has also been released on the changes album.
Whose garden was this
It must have been lovely
Did it have flowers
Ive seen pictures of flowers
And Id love to have smelled one
Whose river was this
You say it ran freely
Blue was its colour
And Ive seen blue in some pictures
And Id love to have been there
Tell me again, I need to know
The forest had trees, the meadows were green
The oceans were blue
And birds really flew
Can you swear that its true
Whose grey sky was this
Or was it a blue one
You say they were breezes
Ive heard records of breezes
And Id love to have felt one
Tell me again, I need to know
The forest had trees, the meadows were green
The oceans were blue
And birds really flew
Can you swear that its true
Whose garden was this
It must have been lovely
Did it have flowers
Ive seen pictures of flowers
And Id love to have smelled one
Tell me again, I need to know
Tell me again, I need to know
Tell me again, I need to know

A Kentish Garden
THERE is a grey-walled garden, far away
From noise and smoke of cities, where the hours
Pass with soft wings among the happy flowers,
And lovely leisure blossoms every day.
There, tall and white, the sceptral lily blows;
There grow the pansy, pink, and columbine,
Brave hollyhocks, and star-white jessamine,
And the red glory of the royal rose.
There greeny glow-worms gem the dusky lawn,
The lime-trees breathe their fragrance to the night,
Pink roses sleep, and dream that they are white,
Until they wake to colour with the dawn.
There, in the splendour of the sultry noon,
The sunshine sleeps upon the garden bed
Where the white poppy droops a drowsy head
And dreams of kisses from the white full moon.
And there, some days, all wild with wind and rain,
The tossed trees show the white side of their leaves,
While the great drops drip from the ivied eaves,
And birds are still--till the sun shines again.
And there, all days, my heart goes wandering,
Because there, first, my heart began to know
The glories of the summer and the snow,
The loveliness of harvest and of spring.
There may be fairer gardens; but I know
There is no other garden half so dear;
Because 'tis there, this many, many a year,
The sacred, sweet, white flowers of memory grow!

I watch a man sitting down the park
The flashy suit manufactured by the makers
Hes got a pen and he circles an add
It makes him laugh cos hes reading dirty papers

She doesnt know but shes getting his call
Hes talking straight but he wants it in a strange way
She combs her hair doesnt worry at all
He could be mad but its just another pay day

Shes shacking down with a guy from west guiana

Shes such a pretty young girl
I guess they love it cos you hear when they stay
They cry oh, oh, oh
This guy arrives looking scared as a rat
He needs her love but he wants it like a brother
Three hours later he crawls out on his knees
Shes laughing loud cos hes calling for his mother

Heaven Or Hell
Once
I awoke
The shadow of your smile had crossed my mind
How could I know this was your last goodbye
Thats slipping through the windmills of the night
You never understand when shes talking to you, little boy
You never understand when shes talking to you
Shes too far away
Is it heaven or hell
Were drifting in the wake of our dreams
And the world is a clown who cries
And no one can tell is it real
Once
I cried
Whenever I awoke without you
A stranger in the thunder of the dark
Im praying to the sun to shine tonite
You never understand when shes talking to you, mon amour
You never understand when shes talking to you
Shes too far away...

Factory Girl
(original by the rolling stones; remixed by maxim)
Waiting for a girl whos got curlers in her hair
Waiting for a girl she has no money anywhere
We get buses everywhere
Waiting for a factory girl
Waiting for a girl and her knees are much too fat
Waiting for a girl who wears scarves instead of hats
Her zippers broken down the back
Waiting for a factory girl
Waiting for a girl and she gets me into fights
Waiting for a girl we get drunk on friday night
Shes a sight for sore eyes
Waiting for a factory girl
Waiting for a girl and shes got stains all down her dress
Waiting for a girl and my feet are getting wet
She aint come out yet
Waiting for a factory girl

Someone Like You
Written by: lenny kravitz/craig ross
Waiting impatiently for you to come
Wondering if you will always be the one
Is this good for you
Is it wonderful for you too
cause baby I told you Im ready for love
Im anticipating and waiting for some
Tell me what to do
Tell me baby cause I love you
Its been so lovely
Now that I got you
Ive been looking for someone like you
Someone like you
What do you like to do
What do you got to say
Just tell me baby whats on your brain
cause I just want to sit down and talk for awhile
Do you want to make babies ?
Do you want a career
Well whatever it is darling, I just want you near
And well be together just you and me dear
Its been so lovely (its been so lovely)
Since I find you
I was praying for someone like you
Someone like you
Aint been lonely
Now that I got you
I was waiting for someone like you
Come on come on come on yeah
Been so lovely
Now that I got you
Ive been waiting for someone like you
Someone like you

The Lake, The Fountain
by the lake so still so calm
sky-blue cloud-white
more sky than water this autumn day
the air so still above
there a tree leans over the water
as if in thanks
and here a gathering of stones
awaits the offhand lapping of the wavelets
bringing out the many colours of the stones
that remember mountains edging the horizon
with light and shadow through the day
over there a fountain plashes over worn carved stone
fed by a mountain waterfall wild fountain tamed
throwing up a million new-mined diamonds
droplets sparkling like a chandelier
the sun catches turning air and water
into unceasing dance of somehow joy
the still lake the dancing fountain
telling with water two stories
stillness in joy
joy in stillness
as two white-robed nuns who whisper laughing
laughing whisper
in the cool of the evening
beside the fountain
before prayer
and holy silence

Victory Of Love
Waiting
For a change in the weather
Im waiting for a shift in the air
Could we get it together, ever
Hoping for your return, hoping for your sweet, sweet
Return
Hello
Is this heaven calling
Hello, hello, is somebody there, she must be somewhere
And then she says hello, hello, hello
Shes really an angel
She stands in the sunshine
Shes closing her eyes, she starting to dream,
Shes pulling the strings
Shes dreaming a strange dream
Where nothing is grey
Then she takes me away and shes pulling the strings
When shes playing with love
Shes playing with love...
Counting
I count every second
And Im standing
I stand in the rain, I walk up that lane
Which leads to the sunshine
She stands in the sunshine
Shes closing her eyes
Then she takes me away and shes pulling the strings
When shes playing with love
Shes playing with love...

Summer Song
THERE are white moon daisies in the mist of the meadow
Where the flowered grass scatters its seeds like spray,
There are purple orchis by the wood-ways' shadow,
There are pale dog-roses by the white highway;
And the grass, the grass is tall, the grass is up for hay,
With daisies white like silver and buttercups like gold,
And it's oh! for once to play thro' the long, the lovely day,
To laugh before the year grows old!
There is silver moonlight on the breast of the river
Where the willows tremble to the kiss of night,
Where the nine tall aspens in the meadow shiver,
Shiver in the night wind that turns them white.
And the lamps, the lamps are lit, the lamps are glow-worms light,
Between the silver aspens and the west's last gold.
And it's oh! to drink delight in the lovely lonely night,
To be young before the heart grows old!

A blossom
As it Blooms in silence
I was truly allured
a flower's humble beauty
her future ensured
exceptional glamor I spotted
in this lovely garden of her.
Rain fall softly on her petals
it fell down slowly light as feather
the shimmering and sparkling
of the thick and dripping humid;
condensing in every bud
in this lovely garden of her.
The blurry vision of early dawn fog,
the charming rays of peeking sun,
those silencing sounds of earth
makes most sense of elegance
in this lovely garden of her.
The wind blowing in rhythm
setting free the dancing pecks
the melody of the ambiance,
the sweet smell of honey-nectar,
the aroma of her sincerity
that brings all my joy,
draws every smile in my face
each day of my life
in this lovely garden of her.
Yet there came a time the wind blew hard
Drought came fast and wither starts
little by little her throat seized
grasping her breath she naught fought.
The skies turned black and lights blinks fast
then her crave they overfed to death
overhead came the water dark
'None could ever survive'
They proven wrong...
For the dusk end and the night came
The moon came yet not to help
the tide higher he hath even made..
Alas! Dawn breaks& moon withdraws
The sun came and peek again
in this lovely garden of her...
There the earth witness her wilt
yet new life brought by rain and shine..
a humble blossom in joy and gloom
a story in cycle in this lovely garden of her...
