High Cumberland Dilemma
It's been a little fever and maybe Bucky Beaver
Who made me pull the lever and leave once again
We chose just not to marry but go ahead and carry
All of our earthly goods and go to live out in the woods
Midnight on the mountain and you watch the clouds roll by
Country air's appealin' but there's more than meets the eye
Meets the eye...
Moonlight on the cabin and you're too damn cold to sleep
Your head turns from my pillow so I can't see you weep
See you weep...Sarah sleep
Stoned alone together least the city streets have drains
Standing here ass high up in the rain longin' for Boston
Once again
Sarah's cold and hungry and the baby's due any day
Stuck up in high country and it don't thaw out 'til May
Here we'll stay...
Mountain fever's on me and tonight the truck broke down
Doctor in the valley but we can't get in to town
He don't come 'round
Sarah cried for Boston and her mother late last night
I reassured her everything was tight but I'm not sure that it's all
right...
Midnight on the mountain and you watch the clouds roll by
Country air's appealin' but there's more than meets the eye
Meets the eye.

There's More To Me Than Meets The Eye
There's more to me than meets the eye
Look closely, I too also cry
There's more to me than meets the eye
I swear to God and that's no lie
There's more to me than meets the eye
Get a chance to know me then decide
There's more to me than meets the eye
What the eyes percieves isn't always right
There's more to me than meets the eye
I'll be that guy on whom you can always rely
There's more to me than meets the eye
I still believe in love, happiness and rainbows in the sky
There's more to me than meets the eye
Behind all this, I'm a shy guy
There's more to me than meets the eye
Give me a chance to be a part of your life
There's more to me than meets the eye
I'll give you my heart, in which you'll reside
There's more to me than meets the eye
I look into yours and feel alive
There's more to me than meets the eye
Reminicing on the first time we met, and those cheesy lines. To my face it brings a smile.
There's more to me than meets the eyes
Without you in my life I'd rather die
There's more to me than meets the eye
Now that I've told you, do you believe in us.

Unicorn 12
where the unlimited meets the limited,
and the unimagined meets the imagined;
where the unseen meets the seen,
and the eye meets the heart;
where the earth meets the seed,
and the seed meets the root;
where the root meets the earth;
and the flower meets the air;
where the heart meets the thought,
and the thought meets the sound;
where the sound meets the word;
and the word meets the voice;
where joy arises,
and where sorrow ends;
where love arises,
and the world is one;
where magic lives,
and miracles are law;
where childhood lives
and freedom is always now,
the unicorn is.

Shelly Meets Sarah Star
Shelly meets Sarah Star one afternoon
Sarah was swimming in the lagoon.
Sarah saw Shelly wobbling on a rock,
she waves to her and they begin to talk.
Shelly says she has a family
they drink Kava at a Kavasutra Kava Bar,
Sarah says she is hungry and didn’t have a bite all day,
Shelly says “First we can go the restaurant named Daves, ”
Breezing down Lave Ave. chatting along the way,
they head towards the table with the shade.
Sitting outside they both order an ice-tea,
arriving at their table is none other than Mermaid Majesty!
Shelly, Sarah and Majesty all order a macaroni and cheese.
The food tastes great they are all really pleased.
Then they go back to Kavasutra Kava Bar to have a relaxing drink,
they don’t drink too much they do not want to go to sleep.
Color in the cartoons images of all of three
and give it proudly to daddy and mommy.

The City Vs. The Country
In the city where the colours run dry,
Or in the country where the farmers grow rye.
In the city where there are fees,
Or in the country where beauty is free.
In the city where there are loud crowds,
Or in the country where you can watch clouds.
In the city where you camp out in your room,
Or in the country where you have fun dancing with a broom.
In the city where there are polluting cars,
Or in the county where you can see stars.
In the city where you seal the deal,
Or in the country where you can heal.
In the city where you say later,
Or in the country where you can see the water.
In the city where space is tight,
Or in the country where you hold their hand in the moonlight.

So Right
Roll out down to midnight
Then roll on downtown til its light
Because tomorrow we may die
Oh, but tonight were dancing in the faint light
Dont you rob yourself of what youre feeling
Dont rob yourself of all that you could be
Roll hard til midnight
Roll til its light
Come on now
Stay up and make some memories
Yeah, with us now
Roll the red carpet out with friends
To whom, to love and roll on
Our love is so right
I wont waste a minute here tonight
Our love is so right
And tonight my dance is all about you
To midnight love you,
Roll on and run the red lights
You know the game now is keep it tight
Oh, how I love your pretty rock-roll kisses
Come on and stay with me
Roll on and run the red lights
Come on, this love is so right
Stay up and make some memories
Yeah, with us now
To roll the red carpet out with friends
Oh, to love and roll on now
Our love is so right
I can taste
Were in it here tonight
Our love is so right
And tonight my dance
Is all about you
Im going crazy
And its all cause of you (its all cause of you)
Im going under, over you, over you...
This time is so alive
Everybodys tranced, dancing tonight
Oh so beautiful, and so strange
Oh, it was empty until you came...
Our love is so right
Forget the clouds that rain on your light
Our love is so right
Ill not forget how you look right now
Our love is so right
Remember lets just move together
Our love is so right
I swear it would last forever
Our love is so right
Forget the clouds that rain down on you
Our love is so right...

Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Listen, baby
Ain't no mountain high
Ain't no vally low
Ain't no river wide enough, baby
If you need me, call me
No matter where you are
No matter how far
Just call my name
I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry
'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you
Remember the day
I set you free
I told you
You could always count on me
From that day on I made a vow
I'll be there when you want me
Some way,some how
'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you
No wind, no rain
My love is alive
Way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand
I'll be there on the double
As fast as I can
Don't you know that
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you
Don't you know that
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough

Another Midnight
he was a coal miner in the spring
blinded with its dusty resolutions
broke his back for higher contributions
now he'd take anything
well she was 1970
burning like a cigarette long season
heir to her family's old treasons
she makes love hard like an enemy
oh ma he's dying
and the river don't sleep
when the water runs cold
and the calendar burns
as the story unfolds
and the valley spans miles
when the mountain stands high
can't they let us run wild
for another midnight
perhaps we're election day
pumping hands and kissing all the babies
ain't no time for shadowed doubts or maybes
is there another way?
or we're a stolen Cadillac
racing for a roadblock in the distance
flashing by a lifetime in an instance
can we take it all back?
oh ma he's dying
oh ma he's dying
and the river don't sleep...
can we take it back
and the valley spans miles
when the mountain stands high
can't they let us run wild
for another midnight

A Sleep
She lay sleeping
like Beauty
awaiting a kiss.
Leaning close
I feel the warmness
of her breath,
her eye lids
flutter occasionally
in butterfly sleep;
up they flick
and down again
to pause
and then
flutter again.
The shoulders bare
below spaghetti straps,
the neck
in its curvature
roll across
the shoulders where
it meets that rounded curve
atop
the arms peak.
The collar's place
swoops away
to right and left
before
floating down
to that space
above her breasts
where a slow breath
gives the topography
of brown rolling hills.
Can there be here
heavens' heights
traversing these gentle slopes;
up toward that crimson mouth
topped by haired piled
high
arrayed on the pillow-scape
cloud like?
Can it be the cheeks
are mountain flanks
kissed summer red
by my mouth?
I have no more
of wealth or need
than to lie here
and watch you sleep,
the sleep that lovers sleep
complete;
and notice how my
adorning eyes
become sugar plums
dancing.

Sarah In The Summer
Ive driven this road as a stranger
Ive driven this road as a friend
Ive driven this road as a slack-jawed tourist
And Im drivin on it once again
It might be cold and long and lonely
But shes waiting on the other side
And Im an hour closer to sarah in the summer
And joyfully I ride.
I climb through georgetown, silver plume
The tunnel at lovelands cove/cold?
The lake on the left is a little low
Route 9 is the breckenridge road? ?
Theres a sign right below copper mountain
Telling wheter independence runs free/where the weather & independence run free
And Im an hour closer to sarah in the summer
And thats where I wanna be
In the evening shadow of red butte
Up the lane from the slaughter house bridge
The first cabin the moonlight strikes as it crests the cleft in hunter crick ridge
Up frombetween old red and smuggler
Rising high on a piano bench there
And Im an hour closer to sarah in the summer
And what lies between beware
What lies between, beware
And the red sandstone sentinels rising high on either side
As I follow the eagle valley
Through the canyon where the saints reside
In mt snowmasss majesty south
And east out of glennwood springs
And Im an hour closer to sarah in the summer
Where the roaring river sings
Where the roaring river sings.

Urges of lust
Sexual urge meets with the coitus.
Carnal urge meets with the bites.
Bio-urge meets with the impregnation.
Psycho-sex urge meets with the child-care
And socio-sex urge meets with self welfare.
Lust is the force behind.
Lust is the source for all forces.

When Good Meets Evil
When good meets evil the world twist into one.
When good turns bad the earth is right again.
When your mean im nice and im sound.
You try to make the world go round.
When good meets evil the moon meets the sun.
When good meets evil life truly has become.
Real or Fake?
Nice or Mean?
Love is rough.
Love is dumb.
When good meets evil love has truly won.

Sarah
Sarah hangs her head down low.
she won't let them see her cry.
Nobody hears. Nobody cares.
No one's there to watch her die.
Sarah doesn't want to eat.
She starves away her fear.
Thinking if she lost a few more pounds,
She might just disappear.
Sarah starts to hate herself.
she can't bear to exist.
She's not strong. She's not brave.
So she puts a cut on each damned wrist.
Sarah's mind is a disease,
Her heart a hollow cave.
She doesn't fight. She doesn't hope.
She knows she can't be saved.
Sarah just wants to be loved.
She lies down on the floor.
She doesn't try to hide her tears.
She's just not worth it anymore.
Sarah hangs her head down low.
She's too far gone to cry.
Nobody hears. Nobody cares.
No one's there to watch her die.
Twilight
I look into his eyes, there are closed
But I see something.
A teacher told me why, I laugh
When old men cry.
My body grows and grows,
It fightens me you know.
The old man tried to walk me home.
I thought he should have known.
Twilight,
Twilight, lost my way.
Twilight, night and day.
Twilight, cant find my way.
(in the shadow boy meets man
In the shadow boy meets man).
Im running in the rain.
Im caught in a late night play.
Its all and everything.
Im soaking through the skin.
Twilight, darkened day.
Twilight, lost my way.
Twilight, cant find my way.
(in the shadow boy meets man
In the shadow boy meets man).

Wangled by the Wayside
'Country blokes is kind,' he said,
And sat upon his swag
(I had no pipe tobacco,
So he said he'd 'risk a fag.')
'A country bloke's my sort o' bloke,
As I've had cause to find.
Them city coves is cold as mud:
But country blokes is kind.
'Now, f'rinstance, just you take yerself.
I meets you on the road,
A stranger, fur as I'm concerned
A cove I've never knowed.
An' when I sprags you for a smoke,
I'll bet you didn't mind.
You done your best; tho' fags is muck.
Country blokes is kind.
'Country hearts is rightly placed
A every battler knows.
If I'd have asked you for a feed,
Or p'raps some carst-off clo'es,
I'll wager you'd have searched your house
For all that you could find
In shape of tucker or of duds,
Yes; country blokes is kind.
'But city coves! - I ain't been there
For years - nigh on fifteen.
But lately I meandered down
Just for a change of scene
But rekernise a human bean?
They ain't that way inclined,
That crowd of stone-eyed strangers there.
Not like the conutry kind.
'To ask a bob for food or drink
In cities is a sin,
An' they goes an' calls a copper,
An' the copper turns you in.
But, if you pitch a likely tale,
Most like you don't git fined.
So I hoofs it back to country scenes
Where blokes is nice and kind.
'So here I am, back in the bush,
Still battlin' an' dead-broke.
An' the minnit I seen you I sez,
'Now, there's a country bloke,'
I sez. 'He's got that sort of face.'
I'm broke, but I'm not blind.
Stone-broke ... Well, I best push along ...
Thanks. Country blokes is kind.'

When I find you in your sleep, sarah
I will tell you what you mean to me, sarah

I will tell you what you mean to me, sarah

Mountain Of Love
(downbeat, denny. denny. downbeat!)
(*laughter*)
(what? )
(get out of here!)
(oh, man!)
(oh, rock out!)
Standin on a mountain lookin down on a city
The way I feel is a doggone pity
Teardrops fallin down the mountainside
Many times Ive been here, many times Ive cried
We used to be so happy when we were in love
High on a mountain of love
Night after night Im a-standin here alone
Weepin out my heart (*laugh*) till the cold grey dawn
Prayin that youre lonely and youll come here too
Hopin just by chance that Ill get a glimpse of you
(oh yeah!)
Trying hard to find you somewhere up above
High on a mountain of love
The mountain of love, the mountain of love
You should be ashamed
You used to be a mountain of love
But you just changed your name
Way down below theres a half a million people
Somewhere theres a church with a big tall steeple
Inside the church, theres an altar filled with flowers
Wedding bells are ringin and they shouldve been ours
Thats why Im so handy, my dream is gone above
High on a mountain of love
([...])
(keep playin it like it is!)
([...])
High on a mountain of love
The mountain of love, the mountain of love
You should be ashamed
You used to be a mountain of love
But you just changed your name
Way down below theres a half a million people
Somewhere theres a church with a big tall steeple

Wedding bells are ringin and they shouldve been ours
Thats why Im so lonely, my dream is gone above
High on a mountain of love
High on a mountain of love
High on a mountain of love
High on a mountain of love
(what, honey? )
High on a mountain of love.
(hahahaha.)
Ooh baby...
(thats good.)
...one more time. oooh baby. oooooo.
(thats a good voice.)

Sarah Maria
Well the moon is in the ocean
And the starts are in the sky
And all that I can see
Is my sweet marias eyes
Sarah, sarah maria
Sarah maria, ya, ya, ya, ya
Well, you know about the sugar cane
That comes from way down south
Shes got one end in her hand
Shes got one end in her mouth
Sarah, sarah maria
Sarah maria, ya, ya, ya, ya
She took me out walking
To the corner of the world
Where everyone was a-talking
About such a pretty little girl
Sarah, sarah maria.

Me & Sarah Jane
The fires are burning in another land,
Dont start counting, dont start counting.
Colder and colder, the ice is moving closer
And it gets me down.
Going round and round and down the same old track.
Pack on my back, going swiftly nowhere,
Heart in my ear beating like a drum.
Where will you go?
All by yourself.
(hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah.)
And now Im standing on the corner.
Waiting in the rain,
But then in sunlight without warning,
I invent a name,
Me and sarah jane,
We had a special thing going,
Me and sarah jane.
It was a time of love and laughter,
It wouldnt come again,
We had our round of joy but after,
Then began the pain,
Me and sarah jane.
We had a special thing going,
Me and sarah jane,
Sarah jane.
Searching for a clue.
Traces on the sand.
First Im flying, going round round round,
Then Im sliding going down down down,
Doesnt matter where I start I always end up
Falling through those same old crowded rooms.
Me and sarah jane,
We had it coming
All the pain,
Walking down the streets,
And finding nothing is the same,
And now the city lights are dimming one by one,
It costs too much money to keep them all on.
Me and sarah jane,
In silence walk along the shore,
Tears of joy and mocking laughter,
Words lost in the wind.
The tide was rising,
But there we stayed,
We had no fear of dying
We werent afraid.
