An Apology To The Reader Who Has Written Me A Message I Have Not Answered
AN APOLOGY TO THE READER WHO HAS WRITTEN A MESSAGE TO ME I HAVE NOT ANSWERED
The real apology is not this poem
It is one by one
Reader by reader
Answering each one
Who has ever written me.
It is reading all the poems of others
I do not want to say
A ‘real no’ or a ‘false yes’ to.
It is opening myself
To perhaps a true friend
To perhaps one whose writing
I see better than my own.
The real apology
Is in opening up to the poems of the many unknown others.
Will I do this
Will I give it the time
When I already am guilty
Of not using my limited time
To correct my past work?
Dear Reader,
I apologize, I do not know.

Needing To Be Faced
Why are they giving 'you' attitude?
'I guess its' because I did not show up,
At the recent party.'
But...
You didn't get an invitation from them.
They did not ask you to attend.
'Not only that...
I was expected to show up AND recite,
Something I had written especially for the affair.'
That's 'tacky', disrespectful...
And showing no regard for you at all.
And they are giving you attitude?
Why?
That makes no sense at all.
'Well...
I've heard it stated,
They are waiting for an apology from me.'
An apology?
From someone not directly invited?
Everyone who planned that 'situation',
Has a mental problem needing to be faced.

Love Has Remembered Me
Written by: myles goodwyn
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
You opened up my eyes
And helped me to see
That love has a way of finding
Those in need
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
I felt so all alone
And at times afraid
That love had foresaken me
It just seemed that way
Then you walked into my life
And you turned my whole world around
Ours is a true love
It cant be found
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered
Love has remembered
Love has remembered
(love has remembered)

Devil Dance
I can see it but you wont
I look around you are alone
Memories they seem to fade
And I said I would stand by your side
But his side seems to be your side
Dont let me get in the way
So you can do-si-do with the devil in the dark
And around and around you go, no
Do-si-do with the devil in the dark
And desperate for a sense of self
But you only look to someone else
When the answers buried in your head
Grow farther from the life you crave
Grow empty with each passing day
Oblivious to every thing
But you still do-si-do with the devil in the dark
And around and around you go, no
Do-si-do with the devil in the dark
Around and around you go you go
With no way out
No screams allowed
So be still you feel fine
Dont escape you are mine
Illusions following you fast
Reality left in the past
The floor has fallen from your feet
But you still do-si-do with the devil in the dark
And around and around you go, no
Do-si-do with the devil in the dark
Its been upon his finger all the time
All the time
You feel fine.

A Reader’s Daydream
In books written by scholars
With an element enforced on words
You read with your subconscious
And digest all you’ve heard
Your mind suggest a vision of what immortal life could be
As you wish is silent whisper that your life this way could lead
Then back to reality you frown
As you stumble over words the author has written down.

Dulcimer Stomp/The Other Side
come on
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
forget about your foolish pride
(take me to the other side)
oh take me to the other side
(take me to the other side)
my mama told me there'd be days like this
and man she wasn't foolin'
'cause I just can't believe the way you kiss
uh huh
you opened up your mouth with baited breath
you said you'd never leave me
you love me, you hate me, I tried to take the loss
you're cryin' me a river but I got to get across
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
forget about your foolish pride
(take me to the other side)
oh take me to the other side
(take me to the other side)
I'm lookin' for another kind of love
oh lordy how I need it
the kind that likes to leap without a shove
oh honey, best believe it
to save a lot of time and foolish pride
I'll say what's on my mind, girl
you loved me, you hate me, you cut me down to size
you blinded me with love and yeah it opened up my eyes
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
my conscience got to be my guide
(take me to the other side)
oh honey take me, take take take take take ow
take me to the other side
I'm lookin' for another kind of love
oh lordy how I need it
the kind that likes to leap without a shove
honey, you best believe it
now I ain't one for sayin' long goodbyes
I hope all is forgiven
you loved me, you hate me, I used to be your lover
you know you had it comin' girl so take me to the other side
take me to the other side
take me to the other side
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
my conscience got to be my guide
(take me to the other side)
oh honey take me to the other side
(take me to the other side)
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
forget about your foolish pride
(take me to the other side)
honey take me take me take me take me to the other side
(take me to the other side)
(take me to the other side)...

The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books - a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects.

This Aint It
Theres something funny bout the two of us
We never fight, ah we never fuss
We just cant get enough if you get my drift
Yeah from what Ive heard about love, this aint it
I make you laugh and you make me smile
We stay together and go in style
Things get a little bit wild everytime we kiss
So from what Ive heard about love, this aint it
Cuz love can break your heart Ive heard
Drive you to drinkin crazy or worse
Talk about trouble, love is at the top of the list
But girl you know we fit like a glove
Were side by side when push comes to shove
From what Ive heard about love, this aint it
Ive seen it in the movies, read it in the books
Hearts goin under everywhere you look
Fires burning out, but baby me and you
Were the exception to the rule
Cuz love can break your heart Ive heard
Drive you to drinkin crazy or worse
Talk about trouble, love is at the top of the list
But girl you know we fit like a glove
Were side by side when push comes to shove

Yeah from what Ive heard about love, this aint it yeah
Yeah from what Ive heard about love

Yeah from what Ive heard about love no no this aint it

Woman Is A Devil
Me and the devil,
Walking side by side.
Me and the devil,
Going to take you on a long and evil ride.
The woman is a devil,
That's what I've been told.
Woman is a devil,
That's what I've been told.
She'll take all your money,
Then she'll spend all your gold.
All right.
The devil is a woman.
She's a woman.
Well I play my acts, honey
She take the whole damn role.
Keep on going, now, come on.
All right play it, yeah.
One more time.
Well she feel like dying.
Only twenty-one.
Well she feel like dying,
But she's only twenty-one.
She's not the only,
She's not the only one.
All right, all right, all right.
All right, all right.
Gonna save the whole world.
All right

I read true crime books, and I read when people do case studies of stuff. I'm into books like that. Case studies or forensics or murder - all that good stuff.
Sure I'll Accept Your Apology
Sure...
I'll accept your apology,
For something you accused me...
And now find that not to be true.
After years spending your time,
Slime-ing minds againgst mine!
Ruining relationships I had of all kinds.
And with just a brief apology...
You believe you are going to be freed,
Of your guilt?
Especially when it was done to me consciously.
Sure...
I'll accept your apology.
Will you accept my continued hatred for you?
Sincerely speaking,
Of course.
And with respectful brotherhood.

Devil's Haircut
Something's wrong 'cause my mind is fading
And everywhere I look there's a dead end waiting
Temperature's dropping at the rotten oasis
Stealing kisses from the leperous faces
Heads are hanging from the garbage man trees
Mouthwash jukebox gasoline
Crystals are pointing at a poor man's pockets
Smiling eyes ripping out of his sockets
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Love machines on the sympathy crutches
Discount orgies on the dropout buses
Hitching a ride with the bleeding noses
Coming to town with the brief case blues
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Something's wrong 'cause my mind is fading
Ghetto-blasting disintegrating

In case of dissension, never dare to judge till you've heard the other side.
Hard Up Case
You told me once I was your pride and joy
I guess those days are dead and gone
You must have took me for some golden boy
You didnt know what you were taking on
It was a hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
Now all the angles have been played in threes
There isnt much that I can say
I know you gave your little heart to me
I guess I threw the thing away
It was a hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
Sometimes the truth is kind of hard to find
But dont you worry I can read your mind
And you dont have to tell me to my face
You put some other joker in my place
They dealt us houses full with the queens and kings
And now theyre calling out our bluff
cause you and me girl we had everything
But it just wasnt quite enough
Now thats a hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
You say the truth is gonna set me free
Like you might throw a dog a bone
I know youre thinking that the jokes on me
Just take a look at what you re dragging home --
Another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case
It was a hard up case
Just another hard up case

Head On Collision
I've been waiting for a good day
I've been holding back long enough
I've been hurting to tell you some things
it's not the falling of the temperature
that's making all our bones run cool
it's the breeze you make
the presence felt when you're around me
and it feels like I'm at an all-time low
slightly bruised and broken
from our head on collision
I've never seen this side of you
another tragic case of feeling
bruised and broken
from our head on collision
I've never seen this side of you
another tragic case
and I'm still waiting for a good day
I think I've held this long enough
I think it's safe to tell you some things
it's not just what you say to people
and it's not the way you look at me
it's the way you present yourself
for all your worst critics to see
and it feels like I'm at an all-time low
slightly bruised and broken
from our head on collision
I've never seen this side of you
another tragic case of feeling
bruised and broken
from our head on collision
I've never seen this side of you
another tragic case
then you were gone
you were gone
all this time you just didn't know it yet
you were gone
all this time you just didn't know it yet
you were gone
and it feels like I'm at an all-time low
slightly bruised and broken
from our head on collision
I've never seen this side of you
another tragic case of feeling
bruised and broken
from our head on collision
I've never seen this side of you
another tragic case
another tragic case of feeling
bruised and broken
another tragic case and I've been
still waiting for a good day
still waiting for a good day
