Political Assassination Publically Justified
“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears”
such emotionally charged rhetoric written in iambic
pentameter; reminds of times without hearing aids
when microphone television did not aid cause politic.
Yes Antony here plays mocking Brutus, saying that
maybe his speech was too 'cerebral' for the crowd.
Let us not beat around the bush in politics agendaed
politic proclaim “So are they all, all honourable men”.
A portion of the speech 'But Brutus was an honourable
man' is referenced in an opening scene of the West Wing;
which reminds of honourable times without hearing aids
when microphone television did not edit amplify a plot.
“O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me; ”
recall words 'Enemies Foreign and Domestic'
remind in war on terror of threatening all abodes.
Brutus too had previously delivered politic speech,
in which Brutus proud claimed that the murder had;
been done in name of public freedom clever speech,
evil lives while good is oft interred with slain bones.
The opening quotation of this poem is the famous first line of the often-quoted speech by Mark Antony, in the play Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare. The first three words fit into the rule of three technique.
The second quotation also alludes to the theme of a speaker and the power of a good speech to convince an audience of a specific political point of view. Note the turn of the word honourable to mean dishonourable in Mark Anthony’s speech and beware those who speak of us as Honourable Friends.

Ivory Palaces
The sender,
Of honourable men and women;
Affections,
For the ivory palaces are now here to stay;
And like the glad tidings of your love around,
For the desire of your heart is around you.
Blender, sender, vender, tender, fender, bender, gender!
Of honourable men and women;
For the ivory palaces are now here to stay.

COME TRIP WITH ME (To Wanderers)
Come play with me my friend
With wild abandon, joy, mirth
Destinations without end
Remote places here on Earth
No one deters our zeal to roam
We’ve earned this time to play
We make ready to leave home
A few good byes, no delay
Take nothing, God shall provide
Our every need, great or small
With Guardian Angels alongside
Lest lurking danger us befall
Intrepid voyagers
You and me
Return home?
Yes…eventually!

Think About It
Whatever is noble
Whatever is true
So compelling
Perfect to you
Whatever you heard or learnt or receive
It's time to practise what you believe
Think, just think about it
Let it totally fill your mind
Look ahead and not behind
Whatever is generous
Whatever is sound
Or just and good and honourable
Or beauty bound
Honest and real
Pure that you feel

Nora Sullivan
In their cottage in Claraghatlea she lived with her only brother Dan
And she was way beyond mid life when i was a young man
Her name was Nora Sullivan one who was good and kind
And people of her type are rare and always hard to find.
She lived to a fairly good age and though her I'm never more to see
The mental pictures of her are etched in my memory
A mentor of my childhood years and a privilege to know
I spoke to her for the last time some twenty years ago.
She was a devout lady and religious in a good way
And of any other person she never had bad to say
When I return to Millstreet I will not see her again
But good and fond memories of her till my own end I'll retain.
I always will remember her for her warm smile and kind eyes
And she was an honest person so honourable and wise
The pathway to a moral life she always did pursue
And to her God and her higher self she always was so true.

Just Another Rant
There are things which we all know
but pretend we don’t
as we watch them with amusement wriggling publicly
out of their public bonds..
1) You can always buy your way
to ‘honours’ – but not, ha, to ‘honour’:
not with a cheque by return of post, of course;
just by more subtle ‘charity’ of the sort
which inevitably involves
large sums of money gratefully received
by the genuinely honourable. But of course
you'll be the only one who confuses
honours with honour.
2) The buck – with honourable exceptions –
never ‘stops here’ – it stops
at the guy one below ‘here’:
you’re in charge – so, you don ‘t say
‘Go kill Thomas á Becket’ etc.. you say
‘Who will rid me of this turbulent priest? ’ into the air,
kinda rhetorical question.. and, surprise,
there’s a scrum of posse at the gun cabinet..
3) There are certain countries and no I won’t
where bribes – often to those who don’t need them –
are like thank-you letters – you don’t have to,
but everyone expects it… and don’t be surprised
if you’re off their seasonal greetings card list next year..
just one suggestion: that if blackmailed trade-wise
by a foreign country to break your own code of honour
and you stand up and say ‘It would not be
in Britain’s interest in terms of
commercial and diplomatic good relations
and employment in skilled industry
to pursue this matter through the courts’
you should have your British passport and nationality
taken away; after all, you’ve already forfeited it
in the court of honour..
OK that feels better. How was it for you?

Honourable Poet
Tender, render, end, deer, ten, net, den, rent;
The Honourable Poet is closer to you than ever!
And with the mind to write and to move on,
Because the beautiful flowers around are like the peace of love.
Chamber, amber, charm, arm, am, ham, car, bam, bear, bare, are, ear, crab;
And at a random with the sweet aroma of your muse! !
But be ready for my love in the morning.
Random, ran, and, Dan, an, no, do, on, man, mar, am, ram, dam, Mona, moan, roam;
And like the first one,
But the Honourable Poet is closer to you than ever.
On the right hand,
On the left hand,
On the right leg,
On the left leg,
On the right thigh,
On the left thigh,
And like a cake of bread day and night;
But she stood in front of him naked like a flying insect!
And a male goat came around to respect her muse.
Of the great piece of wisdom and a deep sense of respect for learned people like you,
And like the mind which writes to satisfy the muse of humanity;
But the Honourable Poet is closer to you than ever,
For this world is all about us to help shape things for the better.
Blink, link, pink, sink, mink, wink, chink, dink, jink, gink, think, fink;
At a random with the sweet aroma of your muse,
But this poem is like the fish of the sea.

1 Before 2
I will love to see you by my side,
And you will be given what you were made to receive;
Faithful,
Longer,
Fiery,
Fearful,
Persuaded,
Many others!
But,1 before 2;
And like the muse of your love in the graden of peace.
Lap, map, tap, yap, cap, dap, soap, flap, clap;
But, try to have mercy on 'Mercy Opong'!
For, she's ready with her muse.
Sap, hap, nap, rap, strap, slap, trap, wrap, crap!
But,1 before 2;
Moon, noon, spoon, soon, boon, croon, goon;
But, you won't be there this time around!
Liable, reliable, able, cable, capable, honourable;
And like the sweet muse of love,
But,1 before 2!
Because, Rome was not built in a day.
Caucus,
To be mounted;
Calculus,
To be noted;
And like the honourable things in life!
Constable, sable, gable, stable, table;
But before the law with your muse for obvious reasons,
For the agenda is now set up in the order of 1 before 2.

Sonnet: Practice Makes Perfect
When warm-up stage is over, you then find,
the exercises seeming easier!
Thoughts and actions when disciplined in mind,
Life goes on, smoothly, without any fear!
When things are performed as per schedules, then,
Few problems crop up, just once in a while!
When one is used to the 'Road to Heaven',
Nothing deters from finishing in style!
And when you pray, most fervently all life;
No obstacles can come or block your way;
For God's with you, no matter what your strife;
God will provide and give you your 'D-Day'.
When God is dwelling in your heart always,
Then, gone are your turbulent, earthly days!
