Grow Young

Sitting here on the waters edge
Now that the storm is gone
First time in years it feels like
Nothings wrong
Thereve been a lot of changes
I was so lost for a while
Sitting here I remember
How its easy to smile
Oh let me grow young
Like a brand new day
Like Ive just begun
Like a shiver like a rush
Like a soul I might touch
Let me grow young
Nobody to tell me where to go
Nobody to call
Just me and the kiskedees
And my guitar
Oh let me grow young
Like a brand new day
Like Ive just begun
Like a shiver like a rush
Like a soul I might touch
Let me grow young
Gotta try to remember this feeling
Gotta store it up inside
Bring it out when its cold in the city
And Im worried and tired
Oh let me grow young
Like a brand new day
Like Ive just begun
Like a shiver like a rush
Like a soul I might touch
Let me grow young

Be Young ... Life is short

The years pass as quick as we grow old
Grow old my foot as I might say so bold,
Speak for yourself [that voice in my head]
Don’t listen to what your brain is fed,
There is no excuse for being old today
Then wearing a ‘T’ shirt that doth say,
‘I’m retired an’ know a lot old and new
I’ve lots of time to tell it all to you’.
So its walks and yoga every day
Exercise and vegies keeps you from fading away,
Growing old is a war we all know that
Give in to nought and you’ll just get fat
Think young act young be young,
Life is short, we all die young!

Forever Young (Bob Dylan)

May god bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young

Never Grow Old

I had a dream
Strange it may seems
It was my perfect day

Open my eyes
I realize
This is my perfect day

Hope you never grow old
Hope you never grow old
Hope you never grow old
Hope you never grow old

Do-do-do-do

Birds in the sky
They look so high
This is my perfect day

I feel the breeze
I feel it is
It is my perfect day

Hope you never grow old
Hope you never grow old
Hope you never grow old
Hope you never grow old

Forever young
I hope you stay
Forever young

Birthday

When we are
Young,
We are
So much
In a rush
To
Grow up
So soon
That we
Eagerly
Await
Our
Every
Birthday :)

When we are
Past our
Prime -
We frown
On the
Flying
Years…
We don't
Want to
Grow old
So soon.
So we sigh:
Oh, My God!
Another
Birthday: (

To grow old is to grow common. Old age equalizes - we are aware that what is happening to us has happened to untold numbers from the beginning of time. When we are young we act as if we were the first young people in the world.

Young Fresh And New (Timo Maas Remix)

Young and different, uh
She looked at a condom, uh
And could still see the sun, uh
Do you remember 21, uh?
Can I stay to wait huh?
Grow up today huh
Can you really blame her?
Shit you couldn't even stay home
When the world feels like it's coming and
And you don't know what you know
And you think about what's holding you
It's relatives and close
Just leave it all behind, you gotta get away
You gotta get away
Everybody
See the look in my eye, uh
I've gotta get it out, uh
I don't care if they stare, uh
I know life's not fair, uh
I'm gonna play while I'm here, huh
I gotta get out, huh
Just watch me run away now
Uh, you know sometimes you just gotta
HEY!
Run away from home
Run away from (young, fresh and new) home
Run away from home
Run away from...
(Got to get away...)
I've got to get away
Hey...
(I've got to get away...)
I've got to get away, yeah
HEY!
Run away from home
Run away from (young, fresh and new) home
Run away from home
Run away from...
When the world feels like it's coming and
And you don't know what you know
And you think about what's holding you
It's relatives and close
Just leave it all behind, you gotta get away
You gotta get away
Everybody
(Got to get away...)
Gotta get away
Hey, hey...
(I've got to get away...)
I've got to get away, yeah
Hey...
But I've gotta be young, fresh, and new
HEY!
Run away from home
Run away from (Young, fresh and new) home
Run away from home
Run away from...
HEY!
Run away from home
Run away from home
Run away from home
Run away from...
HEY!
Run away from home
Run away from home
Run away from home
Run away from...
When the world feels like it's coming and

Forever Young

(r. stewart/j.cregan/k.savigar)
May the good lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when youre far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As youd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart youll always stay
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young
Forever young
And when you finally fly away
Ill be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose
Im right behind you, win or lose
Forever young, forever young
Forever young ,forever young
Forever young, forever young
For, forever young, forever young

I Grow Old

i grow old, i grow old
i shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled
and steal from TS Eliot
thinking no-one knows

i grow old, i grow old
i shall cease to do what i am told
and stay in bed till sunset
when the weather gets too cold

i grow old, i grow old
i shall only wear my crumpled clothes
and look disdainfully at others
when they roll up their nose

i grow old, i grow old
i shall watch events unfold
and take a greater pleasure
in an elder statesman role.

i grow old, i grow old
i shall never play lawn bowls
and never will watch cricket
that's too boring for the soul.

i grow old, i grow old
but i shall never be so bold
as to admonish others
when my views they do not hold.

I Grow Old

I grow old I should feel the cold

I grow old I should have grey hair

I grow old I should sit and stare

I grow old I should have false teeth

I grow old I should have poor sight

I grow old I should forget to write

I grow old I should have aches and pains

I grow old I should 'stroll down memory lane'

I grow old I should walk with a stick

But as I grow old I KICK ASS!

And that's about it!

Young Love

Young love, that lays at your feet
is flamboyant yet is not complete.
For it has not felt the pain
of love itself when the rain
washes over the rush of primeval calls
that leave you with ups and then the pitfalls.

Little does it know of long endured years.
Little does it know of deep felt tears
that tear at the heart of every lover
that comes to them and seems to cover
all aspects of what older love's about.
Young love is born and has no doubt.

Young love's a beginning that shows its face.
Its innocence is a feeling of grace.
For it only knows the instant glow
that accompanies the attraction and the flow
as it creates a beating in the heart
that to young lovers will never depart.

But young love can never stay young you know.
It will either die or it will grow
into a comfortable and wondrous gift
giving the two a constant lift
to soothe out the lows and create the highs
that brings back young love that never dies.

Young Guns

Hey hotshot, your're a one man band
The Don on the block with a glock in your hand
With the girl and the ride, you dont't wanna hear
Think you're getting respect, all you've found is fear
The one damn thing you're sure to find
Is another gun, where you gonna hide?
Said you'd never never run, I guess you lied
You're the fool in the crew that died
Your mother cried
Hold your fire, cool your temper
Young guns ever too bold
Hold your fire, just remember
Young guns never grow old
Hey hotshot, you're a one man band
The Don on the block with a glock in your hand
With the girl and the ride, you dont't wanna hear
Think you're getting respect all you find is fear
The one damn thing you're sure to find
Is a bigger gun to blow away your pride
Your young blood running in the roadside
And in the crossfire, innocents died
We all cried
Hold your fire, cool your temper
Young guns ever too bold
Hold your fire, just remember
Young guns never grow old.
Hey hotshot, you're a one man band
The don on the block with a glock in your hand
With the girl and the ride, you dont't wanna hear
Think your getting respect, all you've found is fear
Hold your fire, cool your temper
Young guns ever to bold
Hold your fire, just remember
Young guns never grow old
Hold your fire, cool your temper
Young guns ever too bold
Hold your fire, just remember
Young guns never grow old
Young guns never grow old
Young guns never grow old

Don’t look too young

With faith, one stays young;
With doubts, one grows old.
With hopes, one stays young;
With despair, one grows old.
Virtues make one stay young;
Fears make one grow old.
Romance makes one stay young;
Wisdom makes one grow old.
However, it is mockery
To have a mind of twenty
In the body of sixty.

Sure look down and call it dumb, huh
I can still see the sun, huh
Do you remember 21, huh?
Can I stay the way, huh?
Grow up today, huh
Can you really blame, huh
Shit you can leave or stay, huh
When the world feels like its closin' in
And you don't know what you know
And you think about whats holdin' you
It's relatives and clothes
