We Live In Two Different Worlds
(e)we live in two different (a) worlds, dear
(e)thats why were so far a(b7)part
(e)you made your world out of (a) vows that are broken
(e)i built a (b7)world in my (e) heart
Everyone here tried to warn me
You were just playing a game
I told them all we were meant for each other
I thought our worlds were the same
If you stay over in your world
Oh, how my poor heart will pine
Darling, someday when your memories wander
Wont you come over in mine
We live in two different worlds, dear
My world is honest and true
Sweetheart, remember when your world gets lonesome
Ill still be waiting for you

Two Different Worlds
I know this girl, shes always on my mind
She lives in her world and I live in mine
I should forget about her and Ive tried
Lord knows Ive tried
But I want to know her, and heres the other side
Ive got someone waiting for me every night
Shes the only one Ive ever loved
And its been that way for the longest time
Shes the one that makes my world go right
And it tears me in two because I know where Ill be tonight
I think she knows it
I think she knows
Two different worlds, two different worlds
One that belongs to me, one could be wrong for me
Two different worlds, two different worlds
Oh, two different worlds
Is she that different or is it the thrill of someone new
Strung out on her, I need her love
I need it bad, and I know, I know its true
Im the one that lies awake alone
I know, shes the one that makes me stray from home
And I know it
Yeah, I know it
Two different worlds, two different worlds
One that I may regret, one that I cant forget
Two different worlds, two different worlds
Oh, always two different worlds
No, I cant explain this emptiness
No, I know I cant go on like this
Two different worlds, two different worlds
Two different worlds
I live in two different worlds
One that I may regret, one that I wont forget
Two different worlds
But I cant live in both, I know
One world I must let go

War of the worlds
worlds
worlds
worlds
so many worlds
and in each world
yet so many worlds
and in each world
war..war...war
down to the tiniest creation
each foreign world
floats and sinks in its own world
a world of nature
a world of war
ever ready to
guard us against
foreign worlds
world
world
world
yet each to his own world
at least for now

One World
"The worlds in which we live are two
The world 'I am' and the world 'I do.'"
The worlds in which we live at heart are one,
The world "I am," the fruit of "I have done";
And underneath these worlds of flower and fruit,
The world "I love,"--the only living root.

Meant To Live
Fumbling his confidence
And wondring why the world has passed him by
Hoping that hes meant for more than arguments
And failed attempts to fly, fly
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Dreaming about providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe weve been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe were bent and broken, broken
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
We want more than this worlds got to offer
We want more than this worlds got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live

Within a lover’s heart
There’s another world
And yet another world
Yes, quantum worlds
Worlds within worlds,
Worlds without end...

I Live In Other Worlds
I LIVE IN OTHER WORLDS
I live in other worlds-
Far from those most people live in
I am happy in my worlds-mostly
They do not bite or sting-
I live in other worlds
There are inward worlds
Quiet worlds
They have poems and music and stories in them-
I listen to them
And I make and remake them
as my own little worlds
Word- worlds mostly-
Like this one.

Worry About Me
World, Oh World wont you worry about me
As I think my time has became my destiny
I wished to be shown kindness and sympathy
World, oh World wont you think about me.
I live for the day and not for the morrow
As I search for the happiness and not the sorrow
I live to earn and not to beg, steal or borrow
And my pride as my soul I will never swallow.
I walk the roads and I walk them alone
To me sadness and woe are on the same road
And there sadly to all I am known
World, oh World cant you hear me moan.
I have done the best that I really could
More than others I think or more than I should
No more than I wished for or more than I would
World, or world are you my ruin.
I look for nothing in exchange or return
My soul and my thoughts they both begin to churn
Someday again I know that I will burn
The tighter the screw which will be harder to turn.
Sorrowfully from many things I have been deprived
But never do I wish back and question with why
And from the truth from no-one will I hide
As someday like all, in the Worlds belly I will die.
I think not of yesterday as that's an empty thought
With the happiness I searched for and the dreams I sought
The memories were here but now them I forgot
I lived once for pain when I had lived in distraught.
Now I live my life by a philosophers degree
I believe only in the truth and that no man is better than me
My soul is my temple and my salvation is free
So World, oh World wont you worry about me.

One World
This song was first released on the one world album. it is the only album it has been released on.
Dont want to live in new york city, man
Dont want to live in tokyo
I want to stay in my own village, man
Is nowhere else I need to go
Is nothing that I want for myself
That I dont want for everyone
To work in peace to live in freedom
To look and never see a gun
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it can be our world
Can you imagine one world, one world
My heart it hurts more than my belly
So hard to live in poverty
I want to work for my own living, man
Dont want someone to care for me
Dont want to speak to revolution
It starts to sounding like a fight
I give myself to evolution
One world will make it be all right
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it can be our world
Can you imagine one world, one world
This world is made for everybody
This life is gift for everyone
This earth is bound to keep on turning
This day is flowers in the sunshine, sunshine
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it will be our world
Can you imagine someday one world, one world
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it can be our world
Can you imagine one world, one world

Worlds Within Worlds
There are worlds within worlds in this world of ours
as there are seconds in minutes and minutes in hours.
Take for example the world of the artists and their creations
how they represent aspects of nature and physical situations.
Or the world of writers whether it be that of drama, prose or poetry
how they express themselves in words of ever increasing ambiguity.
Then there’s the world of music and of a musician’s composition
in which are combined sounds of harmonic and varied precision.
And we have the world of nature and the life of all living things
of their instinct for survival and of what man’s place in it brings.
We must therefore consider the world of science and its discoveries
where in that pursuit for knowledge our future gives no guarantees.
There’s also a world of despair and that of faith and hope
how in the midst of pain or difficulties we’re able to cope.
We must also mention the world of love and its opposite hate
where we care for each other or go about in a destructive state.
There are worlds within worlds in this world of ours here
and in every one of them we try to achieve something dear.
There’s a world within each one’s mind or body and that of the heart
through which we experience this life of ours before we have to depart.
And so there’s the world of the beyond of which we know very little
where our soul is said to go being for a while its place of transmittal.
Which brings us to the world of religion and in what people believe
whether they are certain of their notions or what they may perceive.
There’s the world of memories that bears for many joy and sorrow
in which we remember our past and carry it with us into tomorrow.
We must mention the world of crime which is against the social good
and the laws of the state that it competes with mocking where it would.
And next is the world of justice which metes out punishment or reward
for things that people do in respect of ethics; what is or isn’t in accord.
There’s a world of communication and the various devices it uses to inform
of the complex and sophisticated means created by which it has to perform.
Then there’s the world of medicine or the prevention, treatment and cure of disease
where the doctor in his practice tries in various ways the patient to help or appease.
Yes, there are virtual worlds within worlds in this world of ours almost without end
and so therefore it’s with each other against time and space they all have to contend.

When Two Worlds Drift Apart
We turned water into wine but that didnt last
We were the victims of our age
Now we live on different floors
And go our separate ways
And talk behind closed doors
We changed our world waiting for it all to end
Its such a shame but whos to blame
When two worlds drift apart
We used to sit around the fire
And whisper words the world outside would make no claim to hear
But now we talk an octave higher
In droning tones that dont relate at all to yester year
We changed our world waiting for it all to end
Its such a shame but whos to blame
When two worlds drift apart
Do you remember when we were seventeen
We took a boat out for an hour
But we preferred the greenery to the scenery of the sea
And tied up in some cosy cove
Till harbour lights appeared across the bay
Into love and out of mind
A poet claimed that loving you has only made me blind
But love is really crystal clear
Its only when you need someone the clouds will soon appear
We changed our world waiting for it all to end
Its such a shame but whos to blame
When two worlds drift apart
Do you remember when laughter was the cure
For all the hard times that we knew
But we forgot to feed the fire - let it all burn down
Warmth returns to cold and poison into pain
Its such a shame but whos to blame
When two worlds drift apart

Open
Here there is nothing but open,
Nothing but pure space,
Nothing but a void of unknown.
In this place the only thing that exists in the mind,
Is what is made true through the spirit,
And actions made by the body.
In a world so empty and cold,
There is nothing to live for,
Yet at the same time nothing to die for.
Here, you just are,
You do not live or die or believe,
You just are.
It’s unimaginable to the worlds that surround,
A figment of a child’s imagination, maybe.
Abandoned over the years.
Maybe this place is the creation of a tired author,
Who has nothing to write, only characters without purpose,
No ideas left to create a solid world.
A lonely widow, perhaps,
With no one to please or be with,
Only an empty house filled with empty memories.
Or even a retired soldier,
Not wanting to live through the pain and dreams,
Creating a world so empty, so predictable, nothing could go wrong.
A mother who has lost their child,
Who goes from day to day following suit,
Wishing it was them instead of their baby who left the world.
The blackness of this world is unlike any other,
A simple world that is pure impurities,
Simple complexity.
Like the worlds we make for ourselves to escape to,
When our own reality becomes more than we can handle, less than we expect,
A world we can slip off to silently screaming.
A bright place of darkness,
A never ending end to what we live everyday,
A single lie that we live with as if it were true.
A world that is everything and nothing,
Completely incomplete,
Written and unwritten.
Open.

Live-in World
(charley foskett)
Producer for bonnie: charley foskett
Recorded in 1986 for the charity album 'it's a live-in world', part of the anti-heroin project. lyrics taken from careful listening.
Put an end to that long cold existence you've lived by
Let a warm and loving hand touch your pain
The part of you that is hurting, making you cry
When all the world looks like the devil in a 3-d frame
Pull down defences
Open up your heart
Don't build defences
'cause they'll only fall apart
'cause it's a live-in world
A live-in world
It's a live-in world
A live-in world
It's a live-in world
It's alright by me
So why can't you see
It's a live-in world
A live-in world
It's a live-in world
Alone and afraid and it's all inside
It starts breaking
And we cry from inside
But the help is denied once again
And your heart has grown cold
'cause you've grown so old
Bones aching
You'll be a slave to that white-powered whore
'til the dragon is slayed
'cause it's a live-in world
A live-in world
It's a live-in world
A live-in world
It's a live-in world
It's alright by me
So why can't you see
It's a live-in world
A live-in world
It's a live-in world
Etc...repeat and fade...

My Childhood World Was Once The Only World
My childhood world was once the only world
Years later when it exists only in my memory
It has become one of many worlds the Jewish people have known
In their long journey-
Its idiom and characters its look and its feel
Its small dreams and distinct languages
Are gone-
All I thought once the whole of the real world
Is only a small part of what has gone on far longer than it
And all these worlds together too
Are not the whole of the universe –
Yet my memory of this world makes it larger and larger
And for me still it is in the center of space and time –
One day soon when I am gone
No one will know it as I have-
Some traces of it will remain in the minds of other witnesses
And when they are gone
This world too will have only a remnant of it
Remaining as words.

Twist 5
he lives in two worlds
he has one body, his hands
break when he changes places
his heart is tough
his mind always finds
two explanations
two worlds never reconcile
it is this
neither nor situation
whatever his eyes see
are beautiful
his hands cannot touch any one
when he touches it
there is death
somehow for all those years
there must be a compromise between
water and oil
and so he lives in two worlds
every morning he rises to live
at night
he sleeps to die
and it has been happening
since then
in the house everyone like to love
him
in one condition that there must only be
one world
and so every hour he lives in fear
every minute
but like a dog he learns the tricks
he is young
two worlds live within him
one body one imagination

When Two Worlds Collide
Your world was so different from mine, dont you see
And we couldnt be close, though we tried
We both reached for heavens, but ours werent the same.
Thats what happens when two worlds collide
Your world was made up of things sweet and good
My world could never fit in, I wish it could
Two hearts lie in shambles and oh, how theyve cried
Thats what happens when two worlds collide
Your world was made up of things sweet and good
My world could never fit in, I wish it could
Two hearts lie in shambles and oh, how theyve cried
Thats what happens when two worlds collide
Thats what happens when two worlds collide
I fancy that I see a bunch of roses
A blossom from and orange tree in your hair
While the organ plays I love you truly,
Just let me pretend that I am there
Wedding bells are ringing in the chapel
That should be ringing now for you and me
Down the aisle with someone else youre walking
Those wedding bells with never ring for me
Those wedding bells with never ring for me

Worlds Fall Apart
People disapear
Memories fade away
Hearts shatter
Love becomes lost
Pain groes stronger
Worlds become numb
Worlds fall apart
when the world loses intrest
when you lose motivation
when the world abandons you
Worlds fall apart
even though all seems great
even though the surface is smiling
even though the world looks bright
When people disapdear
When memories fade
When hearts shatter
When love becomes lost
When pain grows stronger
When the world becomes numb
Our world falls apart

Worlds Apart
somewhere behind the wall an the glass, my barrier
I can still see her
it's not just the physical distance
it's the invisible wall of my circumstance
I can't talk to you, not just because you're not here
but because you could never hear
with open ears and understand why
and now you can never know me
because I've hidden from you, m all you may do is sigh
and wonder if I; m something more, but never see
now we're worlds apart and e can't talk
I can't speak to you through the glass
I cannot show who I am or how I feel
never to you, not to you, not to who I cherish, not the one i hold dear
not one i trust and want to hold near
can never tell the one who ought to know it all
never tell the one who could break the wall
no. not you, because i need this wall
it keeps me in, but protects me from the love we could share
HAHA who can i kid? i would never even dare
profess to you, because the assurance of a negative response is my
reason. And now we're worlds apart
you stay in yours and ill stay in mine..... I pray you find Jesus
but i am too weak to lead you, I'd get caught up in feelings and love
i wish i could give you my heart
but its not time stay in your world, and strengthen the glass
not to worry, you won't love me, because you won't know me im in another world

Different Worlds
Time and tide,
Are the dreams that come and go,
They wait for no man on the shore.
Should you step,
In the same dark river twice,
Let it wash the sins away,
Is there time at hand,
With so much to say?
And I know, its a different world today,
And I know, to another God we pray,
And I know, were in different worlds today.
Here I stand,
My philosophy held high,
Like a preacher in a foreign land.
And here we walk,
In the wilderness of sands,
With the prophet and the holy man.
Is there time at hand,
With so much to say?
And I know, its a different world today,
And I know, to another God we pray,
And I know, were in different worlds today,
And I know, its a different world today.
Theyre burning the book, theyre burning the faith,
Our dream will be over,
Lets wake from the sleep, a legion well be,
To live forever.
I know I as wrong, I have to put it right,
I just cant let it slip away,
cause its a different world today.
Different world, different world, different world today,
Is it a better world today?

This World
They say trust on us
They say our time will come
And your dreams will come alive
One day, we will find
No way to cross this line
Its where our worlds collide
This world is not made for you and i
Its build on blood and a million lies
Some say we dont fit in
Were lost in another world
Their truth will never hold
Cos , ones heart is ones soul
Were living ,day by day
Let them wither, till theyre old and grey
This world is not made for you and i
Its build on blood and a million lies
I was blind, but now I see
We are destined for misery
If youre lost, you wont be found
There is no guiding hand of destiny
This world is not made for you and i
Its build on blood and a million lies
They paint the fabric of our lives, down and out
With nowhere to hide
What you miss, what you need, what you lack is a peace of mind, our worlds collide.
