The Harder They Come
Well they tell me about the pie up in the sky.
Waiting for me when I die.
But between the day your born and when you die.
They never seem to hear even your cry.
So as soon as the sun will shine.
Im gonna get my shine out whats mine.
And then the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
The harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
Well the opus are trying to keep me down.
Trying to drag me under-ground.
And they think that they have got the battle won.
Oh! I say forgive them lord the do not what theyve done.
So as soon as the sun will shine.
Im gonna get my shine out whats mine.
And then the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all. (what I say, now what I say)
The harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
(yeah!)
(yeah!)
Well Ill keep on fighting for the things I want. (for the things I want.)
Though I know that when you dead you gone.
But Id rather be a free man in my grave.
Then living as a puppet or a slave.
So as soon as the sun will shine.
Im gonna get my shine out whats mine.
And then the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all. (its true)
Oh! the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
Oh! the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all. (what I say, now what I say)
The harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
[instrumental]
The harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
Oh! the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all. (yes.)
The harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all. (what I say.)
The harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all.
Oh! the harder they come, the harder they fall.
One and all. (what I say.)

Striving
Striving is life, yet life is striving;
I fight to live, yet live to fight;
The vital urge is in my driving,
Yet I must drive with all my might:
Each day a battle, and the fray
Stoutly renewed the coming day.
A am myself - yet when I strive
I build a self that's truer, higher;
I keep my bit of God alive
And forgive me in heroic fire:
What if my goal I never gain -
Better to toil than to attain.
It is not what I do or make,
It is the travail of my trying;
The aim, the effort and the ache
Is in the end my glorifying:
Through triumph I may never see,
The will to win is victory.
Striving is strength: with all that's in me
I will not falter in the fray;
And though no shining crown it win me,
I'll fight unto my latest day:
Strive on! - and though I win no place,
Uphold the spirit of the race.
Behold yon peaks that mock my climbing. . . .
I peer from out the dusty plain;
Dark falls, the mission bells are chiming
As on to starry heights I strain;
Despite the night up, up I plod
To gain the golden meads of God.

Where Is The Passion? Where Is The Fight?
Where is the passion?
Where is the fight?
You once had a fire that
burned bright through the night
It shone through the mud you wallowed in
It shone through grief you were swallowed in
It outshone Hell's flames that licked at your heels
It outshone the light Death's door to you revealed
Where is the passion?
Where is the fight?
You once had a spirit of
Incomparable might
It pushed you to excel and to overcome
It pushed you out from under Plight's thumb
It fought against those who said you never could
It fought harder still because you knew you would
Where is the passion?
Where is the fight?
You've been broken, you've swayed
So I'll lend my insight
A hero you remain to me and in the meantime
A hero I'll look after and care for as mine
All heroes must fall for we're imperfect men, but
All heroes will rise up to battle again

Harder They Come
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nahnah
Nah nah nah nah nah
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nahnah
Nah nah nah nah nah
I dont need no-one whos gonna tie me down
I need you to let me be
Why is it, they always seem to come around?
I dont have time for me
Have some pride, lift your head high
Walk away while you can
Theres nothing I can do to save you now
So take it like a man
The harder they come, the harder they fall
You think Im yours but Im not at all
The harder they come, the harder they fall around me
The harder they come, the harder they fall
Your confident but youll lose it all
The harder they come, the harder they fall around me
Love my freedom, nothings gonna take it from me
Dont want it to end
I cant see why people always try and change me
Thats not my intent
Have some pride, lift your head high
Walk away while you can
Theres nothing I can do to save you now
So take it like a man
The harder they come, the harder they fall
You think Im yours but Im not at all
The harder they come, the harder they fall around me
The harder they come, the harder they fall
Your confident but youll lose it all
The harder they come, the harder they fall around me

Overcome
even now the world is bleedin' but feelin' just fine all numb
in our castle where we're always free to choose never free enough
to find i wish somethin' would break cuz we're runnin' out of time
and i am overcome i am overcome holy water in my lungs i am overcome
these women in the street pullin' out their hair my master's
in the yard givin' light to the unaware this plastic little place
is just a step amongst the stairs
and i am overcome i am overcome baby holy water in my lungs i am overcome
so drive me out out to that open field turn the ignition off
and spin around your help is here but i'm parked in this open space
blockin' the gates of love
i am overcome i am overcome holy water in my lungs i am overcomed
beautiful drowning this beautiful drowning this holy water
this holy water is in my lungs
and i am overcome i am overcome i am overcome i am overcome

Trying to drive me underground

Fight
Sometimes there's nothing to feel
Sometimes there's nothing to hold
Sometimes there's no time to run away
Sometimes you just feel so old
The times it hurts when you cry
The times it hurts just to breathe
And then it all seems like there's no-one left
And all you want is to sleep
Fight fight fight
Just push it away
Fight fight fight
Just push until it breaks
Fight fight fight
Don't cry at the pain
Fight fight fight
Or watch yourself burn again
Fight fight fight
Don't howl like a dog
Fight fight
Just fill up the sky
Fight fight fight
Fight til you drop
Fight fight fight
And never never
Never stop
Fight fight fight
Fight fight fight
So when the hurting starts
And when the nightmares begin
Remember you can fill up the sky
You don't have to give in
You don't have to give in
Never give in
Never give in
Never give in

Try A Little Harder
Chorus:
Try a little harder now
Try a little harder now
Try a little harder now
Try a little harder now
No one ever said it would be easy
Doin whatever you do
You just might have to suffer
But keep on movin right through
Youve got to
Chorus
Sometimes you have to change your tune
To get where you want to be
But dont you let that satisfy you
You can have all you see

Views Of Life
everyday i wish things can be different,
but, than i'm stuck facing reality,
nothing not what it seems,
life is harder to fight,
wanting me to hide out of plain sight,
just so i can face the fight,
but, feel trapped trying to fight through,
the way life is,
is very strange, but i know that all things can change,
ive faced reality time and again,
theres no way to hide it or conquer it,
you have to live with it,
trying to fight can help,
but winning isnt everything,

If I Try A Little Hard
If I try a little hard
I can make it anywhere
I can move any mountain
If I try a little harder
When life gets me down
A lot of the time it puts me in a frown
If I try a little harder
Harder ill try

In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
Life's River
Life is like a river.
It is faster at some parts
slower at other
but always putting
up a fight.
A fight to bring you down.
Some people allow the
river to take them,
giving up. If you give
up then you'll
have a harder time then ever,
but if you fight the
river, never going under the surface of it,
you will see everything at the
end, clearly for what it is.
Or maybe even in the middle of the
river. Either way,
life is like a river.
Always strong, yet gentle.
It will always test you.

Man's striving for order, of which art is but one manifestation, derives from a similar universal tendency throughout the organic world; it is also paralleled by, and perhaps derived from, the striving towards the state of simplest structure in physical systems.
