True confessions

In my youth I was often told
That confession is good,
good for the soul.
In a darkened wooden booth
I was expected to tell the truth.
First a good act of contrition,
Confession and then absolution
Penance would be meted out
Thus expiation came about.

Nowadays that’s thought
Old fashioned.
My local barkeep
hears my confession.
Of course he grants no absolution,
He pours Absinthe
and shows compassion.
And I may or may not
Tell the truth
While contemplating
The Absolute.

Supreme Name

The supreme name of He taught us the story of our life,
Eternal life is everlasting and surprising to the senses.
Someone asked if the living God is a supreme God,
And the answer was as usual, your God is One,
Incomparable and Absolute.

His supreme name never humoured anybody
Other than the Devil, the one who damned himself.
May water flow from the fountains of destruction
And let the mountain light be desisted for this
The Last Day.

The trumpet kept each soul intact but submerged,

Process One

History hides its emotion just as absolution is not an absolute cure
Man's reason and purpose is to protect the innocent and the pure
The raising of chiildren belongs in the family not an amateur.

Life is much more than just the pasing of earthly or spatial time
It is the legacy we leave our children who are the fruit of our vine.
To give and leave them images of value and virtue for their minds.

Children are invited to come and contribute whenever they can
To know life's purpose and reason, is the union of woman and man
The mind of a child needs to be challenged so they can understand.

The children are no longer our children when they leave home
To carry forward and give to their childen who are really a loan
The capacity to ask questions as all answers come from the dome.

The continuity, salvation and redemption of those here and to come
In the hands of all God's children for through them its will be done
Humanity is singular and inclusive and their gender is two not one.

All children filled with the energy of life and an unfettered mind
To have their time of peace to play, question, and eventually find
To participate in life with good purpose and reason and never resign.

The children can move our world forward and even far beyond
Always to be, think, and acknowledge; mankind's most common bond
We on earth to come together and teach our children to get along.

From the beginning to the end all on earth can be for naught
If the children refuse to participate and grow, all will be lost
A shared responsibility to question, listen and all signs to watch.

Broken Whispers

Whispers, like echoes of a faint past, crowd around me
They bathe me with their memories, their impositions
Laying pathways of guilt and gossip across my soul
Speaking softly of sins and sorrows that are not mine
they drive my nightmares to the brink of exhaustion
and beyond into the calm, quiet void of sociopathy

When the time comes, the voices fade away into slumber
visions of oblivion are overlayed with laughter and hope
I live to serve the good of the many, to subsume the one
To enter into love more deeply than that of romance
To eschew affecting affairs of absolute attrition,
begging death and bragging of the broken coffins

It is time to go soon, to my graded addiction
waiting for the wrong things to happen at the wrong time
to talk to my salvation and absolve her inheritance
hoping, maybe, that in that fire lies my own absolution
