Erich Fromm

The most beautiful as well as the most ugly inclinations of man are not part of a fixed biologically given human nature, but result from the social process which creates man.

Every process which arises from our physical being and is related to it, is an event which lies outside of our volition. Every social process, however, arises from human intentions and human goal setting and occurs within the limits of our volition. Consequently, it is not subject to the concept of natural necessity. … We are here stating no prejudiced opinion, but merely an established fact. Every result of human purposiveness is of indisputable importance for man's social existence, but we should stop regarding social processes as deterministic manifestations of a necessary course of events. Such a view can only lead to the most erroneous conclusions and contribute to a fatal confusion in our understanding of historical events.

And So They Have Again Teased The Ugly Duckling

having forgotten the story
of the ugly duckling
here we are again retelling
it to children, that once
there was this ugly duck
who turned out to be the
most beautiful swan at the
end of the hopeless lines.

that we must stick to the
beautiful self that nature
gives us; it knows the ripe
season for a very beautiful
unfolding; that there is always
a perfect time for everyone.

Human existence is obviously distinguished from animal life by its qualified participation in creation. Within limits it breaks the forms of nature and creates new configurations of vitality. Its transcendence
over natural process offers it the opportunity of interfering with the established forms and unities of vitality as nature knows them.

I'd Like To Know More About Nature

I'd like to know more about Nature for of Nature so little i know
Though we see the beauty she creates and the beautiful things she does grow
Her rill that is born by the mountain flows downland by many a hedgerow
And it swells into a mighty river and on towards the ocean does flow.

I'd like to know more about Nature for Nature is an amazing thing
The song bird who sings in your garden sings the same song his father did sing
This is just one wonder of Nature how a small bird remembers a song
And passes it on through his genes to his offsprings a secret that to Nature belong.

I'd like to know more about Nature for of Nature i know little at all
Though i just like billions of others can recognize some birds and animals by their call
Great human minds have studied Nature but they only do learn to realize
That there is far more to our Earth Mother far more to her than meets our eyes.

I'd like to know more about Nature though i look at her every day
She guards her secrets with secrecy and from us she hides them away
And those who say they know all of Nature are those who do broadcast a lie
And Nature she lives on forever and we like all of her life forms must die.

Political ideological systems are based on conceptions of the natural life process. They may further or hinder the natural life process. They themselves, however, do not function at the roots of the social process. They may be democratic; in that case they further the natural human life process. They may be authoritarian and dictatorial; in that case they are its deadly enemy.

Forever Tomorrow

beautiful yet ugly
the jellyfish stings until you die
ugly animals turn adorable
beautiful peace,
turns to dreadful hell
clean is made dirty
growing up is faster then ever here
sugar drops float and swim
molecules rush through the water
ugly old gray man monsters come to pray
life is just a hope
because the ribbons are here
ugly strings filled with beautiful nets
and the puffy disgusting mushroom looking things lurk too near us
beautiful and gorgeous when combined,
but ugly, deadly and disgusting when alone

Beautiful and Ugly

In my eyes all I see

are beautiful

In their eyes all they see

is an ignorant girl

I have no idea that there

are also ugly

But they weren't; at first I

thought of them as strange.

Isn't it that right is beautiful

Isn't that wrong is ugly.

But now the Ugly is Beautiful

and the Beautiful is Ugly.

And I almost forgot that

Everybody has grown up.

In my eyes all I see

are beautiful

But in their eyes all they saw

was an ignorant girl

I have no idea that there

were also ugly

When I did they say,

'It was beautiful! '

But it isn't, I guess.

I think this world is strange.

Erich Fromm

Society must be organized in such a way that man's social, loving nature is not separated from his social existence, but becomes one with it. If it is true, as I have tried to show, that love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence, then any society which excludes, relatively, the development of love, must in the long run perish of its own contradiction with the basic necessities of human nature.

Love Creates

Love creates mysterious things,
Love creates beautiful expressions,
Love creates everything we need,
Love creates without a thought :)

Love creates no thinking mind,
Love expresses from hearts,
Love comes through effortlessly,
Love becomes the place we share :)

Love is our greatest gift,
Love shares our hearts as one,
Love is creation and our intentions,
Love knows our beauty without pretending :)

Love creates ABUNDANCE always,
LOVE CREATES OUR INTENTIONS,
Love creates our endless wants regardless,
Love is our self expression SHARED :)

A Happy Ending For Ugliness

Grotesque blood in his veins did offensively soak
All beauty from his flesh left humanly wry
Nature did create a human in ugly cloak
Deformed and hideous to every human eye
Man naught look, and looked the other way
As kids spat, laughed and did as they pleased
The ugly man sulked in sadness and did secretly pray
As the young children sneered and derisively teased
‘God love every child's joy, their every laugh
And pity every man, have mercy on the blind
Blame not nature, or nature's sickly wrath
For my ugliness, but be merciful and holy kind.'
While dressed in sodden raiment, penniless penury cloth
Putrid in scent, and malignant rotten skin
Each cloth hole pillaged by feigning disgusting moth
A symbol of life's cruelty, nature's many sin
Other men did say ‘Children! Children! stay away from him
He must not be a healthy man, but sick and ghastly
Ugliness in a human body full to the brim
Touch him and degenerate into death hastily
and thine mother transform from love to grim.
The ugly man sobbed as daring kids kicked
His gaunt limpid body, his fleshless skin soar
A stigma to man, with stigma's needle they pricked
Till the ugly man could take no more
And through his eyes, his offensive blood did pour
Onto the shabby road, wert the ugly man in God' peace die
While the kids mourned, and a vision appeared
‘You wert cruel to me and I know not why?
I love thee so, so with love thy conscience is cleared'
The beautiful soul transcended into the heavenly night
The kids in shame on their necks did hang
Their heads to peer into their souls own light
As the angels of love in tears beautifully sang
God loves children, beautiful or ugly, all children wrong or right……..

Tis Part Of Human Nature

I take them as i meet them of people i must say
And if some disrespect me in kind them i repay
Respect me and I'll respect you in that i do believe
'Tis part of human nature to return what you receive.

'Tis part of human nature for to like words of praise
A big boost to the ego and our spirits it does raise
Kinds words they make us happy when nice things one to us say
To feel flattered by the compliment that is our human way.

Some criticisms of us we see as quite unfair
And damage by lies done to one's character is quite hard to repair
Those who tell you that mud sticks are saying what is true
Never lie about another and give everyone their due.

'Tis part of human nature to stick by your own kind
Football fans in art galleries you are not likely to find
You show disrespect to someone that person will not respect you
And what you do to others unto you they will do.

The Sun

THE SUN
You are glorious
Powerful and supper
Controlling everything
Capture into the hand.

Fauna and Flora
Make the process of photosynthesis
in order to your command
Breasts and Creepers
Subjected to your rule
Human beings too accept the regime
and accustomed to
their day today lives

All think
Existence is because of you
System centralized into the hub of you
And you are the God for them

One who challenged to you
and to the system
ultimate result was
Galileo was given or Socrates was given
Having being a Traitor, terrorist, or an enemy

However it is
anything beyond the reality
what can be done
Supreme power you hold
only a part of the time the day
and other part is not for you
the thing of important that you are ignorant
and ever fail for a solution is
that humans everyday fighting
to conquer and to eradicate
hope of ultimate end
even though you provide the light of so called nature
they are forever blindness and darkness
for their own.

Part Of The Wall

I know you just don't fit in,
I know no one likes you,
I know what you are going through.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Do I fit into the human race?
Or will I be part of the wall?

You were born with superpowers,
The ones that make you invisible girl,
You look at your self and say ugly,
But when I do I see beauty.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Do I fit into the human race?
Or will I be part of the wall?

You just love your self,
Cause you don't fit in,
Yeah, I know what that fells like.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Do I fit into the human race?
Or will I be part of the wall?

Close your eyes,
And think of the friends you have,
Laughing with you,
You are popular in my eyes.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Do I fit into the human race?
Or will I be part of the wall?

You are the wall paper,
Reds, green, and blue,
You might never fit in,
But don't worry,
I'll be friends with you.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Do I fit into the human race?
Or will I be part of the wall?

Ohhhhhhh
La, la, la, la, la

Ohhhhhhh

La, la, la, la, la

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Do I fit into the human race?
Or will I be part of the wall?
