Stripped Away

Fuel - Stripped Away
I must have left my soul cracked open
like a door. . .
in the night. . .
Seizing the opportunity
while i lay there sleeping
all the beggars and thieves walked in
and they stole
all i stored inside
I woke to find
a shell of a man
and all i had once believed . . .
Stripped away . . .
Stripped away
Well i sat at Satan's table
and I drank the wine
in a feast of revelry
Till my eyes were red and swollen
and my soul was so held with stains
that just won't come clean
and i tell myself
that i am in youth
What all i could achieve
Stripped away . . .
Stripped away
Well i stared at my own reflection
But i know that those eyes can't be me
My sprit floats in desperation
on dreams like I've never seen
So i reach for you
and draw you near
and pray that you won't be. . .
Stripped away
Stripped away

An Agreement Called Forever

Cave in and try to take away
All that I have, all I betray...
So much damage I've done
Well this I know, that I just fail
Turn me on me
Turn me on me
'Cause this is everything I've stripped away
I've stripped away
This is me, well this I know
This is me, well is it?
Well the youth has certainly gone away
and at times I'd like to erase...
Please don't see that I can't have loyalty
'Cause I just fail.
Turn me on me
Turn me on me
'Cause this is everything I've stripped away
I've stripped away
And I have tried to sit you down and take the fall
look you in the eye and tell you it all
And I have tried to sit you down and take the fall
To look you in the eye and tell you it all..I fail.
'Cause this is everything I've stripped away
I've stripped away
This is me, well this I know
This is me.
I fail...
'Cause this is everything I've stripped away
I've stripped away.

Stripped

Come with me
Into the trees
We'll lay on the grass
And let the hours pass
Take my hand
Come back to the land
Let's get away
Just for one day
Let me see you stripped down to the bone
Let me see you stripped down to the bone
Metropolis
Has nothing on this
You're breathing in fumes
I taste when we kiss
Take my hand
Come back to the land
Where everything's ours
For a few hours
Let me see you stripped down to the bone
Let me see you stripped down to the bone
Let me hear you make decisions, without your television
Let me hear you speaking just for me
Let me see you stripped down to the bone
Let me hear you speaking just for me
Let me see you stripped down to the bone
Let me hear you crying just for me

Villane-lie

He died upon the cross tonight,
As God reclaimed his mortal son
The world around was stripped of light.

To rid each soul of sinful blight
In His pure name the deed was done:
We murder’d on the cross tonight.

The darkness robs us of our sight
(The exit of the knowing Sun) :
The sky above was stripped of light.

In faith rev’rance of his might
We mourn the man we once did shun;
We murder’d on the cross tonight.

The wings of change take holy flight,
The work of man is now undone:
The sky above was stripped of light.

And thus these words we must recite,
A solemn and repeating run:
He died upon the cross tonight,
The world around was stripped of light.

Stripped, Clawed and Flawed

Too many rather skip to a bar and nip.
Until they feel an alcoholic 'trip'.
And sit refusing to admit...
They're drowning denials that cause them fits.

Too many feel henpecked and nitpicked.
By spouses ripping them to bits.
And they choose then to bemoan their whims.
With others near,
Befriending them!

Spending every dime and feeling sick.
Leaving drunk with no left tip!
Stripped, clawed and flawed,
From a baring of emotions felt so raw!

Spending every dime and feeling sick.
Leaving drunk with no left tip!
Stripped, clawed and flawed.
And wishing they had not flapped,
Or dropped jaws.

Stripped, clawed and flawed,
From a baring of emotions felt so raw!
Around strangers who now know all!
And wishing they had not dropped jaws.

Stripped,
Clawed and flawed.
From a baring of emotions felt so raw!
Around strangers who now know all!
And wishing they had not dropped jaws!

Stripped,
Clawed and flawed.

'You left me not tip? '

Flawed and clawed.

'You left me not tip? '

Clawed and flawed

'You left me not tip? '

Flawed and clawed.

Stripped,
Clawed and flawed.

'You left me not tip? '

Flawed and clawed.

'You left me not tip? '

Clawed and flawed.

'You left me not tip? '

Flawed and clawed.

Stripped,
Clawed and flawed!

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler

Yes...
I love the foreplay.
And a touching we both get.
With the kissing done in tenderness,
When stripped to nakedness.

YES...
I LOVE THE FOREPLAY.
And a touching we both get.
With the kissing done in tenderness,
When stripped to nakedness.

YES...
I LOVE THE FOREPLAY.
AND A TOUCHING WE BOTH GET.
With the kissing done in tenderness,
When stripped to nakedness.

YES...
I LOVE THE FOREPLAY.
AND A TOUCHING WE BOTH GET.
WITH THE KISSING DONE IN TENDERNESS,
When stripped to nakedness.

YES...
I LOVE THE FOREPLAY.
AND A TOUCHING WE BOTH GET.
WITH THE KISSING DONE IN TENDERNESS,
WHEN STRIPPED TO NAKEDNESS.

Yes...
I do!

'And I gather you are a screamer too? '

Aux contrare, mon ami.
Tu et moi...
Moan!
Laissez les bon temps rouler.
C'est si bon!
N'est pas? Oui.

'I get the 'we' bit.
But I'm not so sure about the nest,
Pa!
Yours or mine? '

The Last Revelation (The Final Prophecy)

There were none at His left hand
No man amongst His army
The Earth has ripped herself open
And birthed from her wounds
Thick black clouds, which covered the Earth
It tears
I see blood in the air
I taste the blood in the air
Dissected from the heaven
Cut and stripped of her skin
We let it begin
Descending from heaven
It tears
I see blood in the air
I taste the blood in the air
Dissected from the heaven
Cut and stripped of her skin
We let it begin
Descending from heaven
An all-consuming cancer
An all-consuming cancer
An all-consuming cancer
An all-consuming cancer
Reaching to repent
We will taste it in its purest form
Reaching out for nothing
Suffocation on our words
While we hold our children
It tears
I see blood in the air
I taste the blood in the air
Dissected from the heaven
Cut and stripped of her skin
We let it begin
Descending from heaven
It tears
I see blood in the air
I taste the blood in the air
Dissected from the heaven
Cut and stripped of her skin
We let it begin
Descending from heaven
No cradle
No Son
A mother of none
No cradle
No Son
A mother of none
No cradle
No Son
A mother of none
No cradle
No Son
A mother of none
It tears
I see blood in the air
I taste the blood in the air
Dissected from the heaven
Cut and stripped of her skin
We let it begin
Descending from heaven
It tears
I see blood in the air
I taste the blood in the air
Dissected from the heaven
Cut and stripped of her skin
We let it begin
Descending from heaven

Matt

A noose is laid down from me on the ground but,
I have a nose to smell this trap!
But death is hungry for all of us on this earth.

We have to move on with our various attitudes,
But let us always try to do the right thing;
And like the sweet birds singing to us aloud!

You have stripped me of my honour and,
You have stripped yourself bare before me!
But i escaped the trap only with the skin of my teeth!

I am ready for love and Matt is my lover in this town,
But there are traps set before me!
And i have to watch my steps in all the things that i do with Matt.

Still Crazy For You

You know my feelings run deep
Youve got me calling your name in my sleep
Weve held each other while we cried through the night
It always turned out alright
But I fell victim to a parallax view
I sensed a change but I swore it was you
I shied away when you needed me most
I didnt see what I was doing, now Im left destitute
I never knew how lost I could be til today
My panoramas dark, my sights been stripped away
I cant seem to bridge this break between us two
Dont you know I need you back now, baby
Cant you see Im still crazy for you
Weve thrived in shadows from scene to scene
My mind still wanders to the tavern on the green
We lived for moments that we stole away
They seem as vivid today
We had our problems, when we hadnt the time
You clung to yours and I did to mine
Didnt I see how they tore us apart
Now Im a banished refugee, theres nothing left for me
I never knew how lost I could be til today
My panoramas dark, my sights been stripped away
I cant seem to bridge this break between us two
Dont you know I need you back now, baby
Cant you see Im still crazy for you
I never knew how lost I could be til today
My panoramas dark, my sights been stripped away
I cant seem to bridge this break between us two
Dont you know I need you back now, baby
Cant you see Im still crazy for you
Still crazy for you, still crazy for you
Im so crazy for you, still crazy for you

Late autumn

The yellow veldt, the skeleton chestnut trees
specs of orange-red aloes in the kopje
are near to the old white house
and in the late afternoon shades draw long lines

while I walk up to the house on the red-brown dirt road
and most of the flowers in the garden are stripped bare
but a few irises are flowering yellow,
purple and cream brown

and the sky is dull blue and the early evening cold
is already on the wind that is rustling everything
and after years I open the garden gate
are coming back to my childhood home

stripped from illusions,
and I am bare from the childhood innocence
but full of hope
and looking through a mature man’s eyes.

The Witness on trial

I was present at the trial
when Marcus Tullius took the stage
To defend a man accused, by you,
of poisoning and outrage.
I tried to hide a smile
when he all but called you 'Whore'.
He painted Caelius as some innocent
that you lured to your door.
He defined you as a harlot
though he barely spoke your name.
He next implied your brother
was your spouse in all but name.
He acknowledged your nobility
and then outlined your shame.
He all but stripped you naked,
He's a master of the game.
The rumors of your drunkenness
last summer at the shore.
The long parade of Lovers
while your husband was at war.
His porcine face was damp with sweat
but his eyes betrayed his glee.
that you, the State's star witness,
were stripped of credibility

Winter (There is A Fear Clinging To You)

There is a fear clinging to you
when you come as sign of decay,
that the days of a person can also suddenly turn to this,
can become lifeless with the going of time,

with no thunder smashing down invisible
and there is a beauty to you,
while piercing winds are blowing,
when you are stripped but still living

as if at times you carry a cloak of death,
are stripped from alacrity, from growth and every urge
as if something disconsolate comes in life,
as if for new life you are waiting in vain

and then after days of rest new buds appear,
the iron bolts are broken with time.

Shes The One

No use in pretending, its not been and gone
Theres no defending, this feelings all too strong
Every time and every place, I see magic in your eyes
I wanna see you feel you hold you tight
Till hell ices over Ill be waiting tonight
Oh, shes the one
I was stripped right down now yeah
She had me reeling
Oh baby, shes the one
And nothing feels better
And I know now shes the only one
Dealing with emotions we can uncreate
Being held under, oh how you infatuate
Every step and every move I see it in your eyes
I wanna see you feel you hold you tight
Till hell ices over Ill be waiting tonight
Oh, baby, shes the one
I was cut right down now
Oh, she left me reeling
Oh baby, shes the one
Nothing felt better
And I cant forget her shes the only one
Only one
[instrumental]
* oh, shes the one
I was stripped right down now yeah
She left me reeling
Oh baby, shes the one
And nothing felt better
And I cant forget her shes the only one
Only one
* repeat
Only one....shes the one...

Slipping Away to Fade

Stripped quick from being significant.
A relevance is slipping away.
Upgraded is the consciousness.
And the importance of it has come to stay.

It is difficult to suppress,
Truth when truth is sought and confessed.
And pointless it is to try to hide it too...
When beliefs once known have shown new roots.
With a growing that leaves clear and fresh air to breathe.

Stripped quick from being significant.
A relevance is slipping away.
Upgraded is the consciousness.
And the importance of it has come to stay.

And we have been chosen to witness it.
And we who have come to benefit from this,
Will rise like flowers reaching up from concrete.
Becoming part of that which yesterday was not possible.
Not when solutions were ignored to correct,
Cracks appearing on city streets.

With powers unlimited and abilities unrestricted...
By useless conflicts inflicted to deceive.
With minds now uplifted no longer accepting this,
As part of life and the experience of it.

Stripped quick from being significant.
A relevance to stick,
Is slipping away.
Slipping away to fade.

Truth & Bone

Sometime I can feel you breathing into me.
And these hands I can feel them tugging at my sleeve,
I move through the day in the rhythms that Ive known.
Ive got this crazy dream of stripping down to truth and bone.
All of it, all of it, all of it stripped down.
All of it, all of it, all of it, to truth and bone.
My mouth is full of secrets Im too afraid to tell.
My bodys full of longing for you to know me well.
I move through the day in the rhythms that Ive known.
Ive got this crazy dream of stripping down to thruth and bone.
All of it, all of it, all of it stripped down
All of it, all of it, all of it, to truth and bone.
I think of sinking in way over my shoulders,
Let the water, the water take me in and i
Need you to cut through to where Im hidden,
Im awkward and Im too polite and I want
Two stars for arms like orion I could
Breathe in and breathe in and breathe out.
If I could only lose myself
I would lose myself in you,
I move trough the day in the rhythms that Ive known.
Ive got this crazy dream of stripping down to truth and bone.
All of it, all of it, all of it stripped down
All of it, all of it, all of it, to truth and bone.

Now is The Winter With Trees Stripped Naked

Now is the winter with trees naked
when there is cold and sifting rain,
stripped bare without leaves

and then you first come past and then to me
like a sun rising over the horizon
with a yellow raincoat, your pants splashed wet, laughing and glad

and your company is full of fun
in bands of gathering fog.
Now is the winter with trees naked

cutting off every ray and light
and I know our time is only borrowed,
like a sun rising over the horizon

but stopping the rays in this winter,
in a cold world without hope or pity,
stripped bare without leaves

where you shake out your hair like a dog does with rain,
whereupon I take the clips from your hair
and I know our time is only borrowed

but your are glorious like a poster
and for long moments time is missing.
Now is the winter with trees naked

with bliss descending between us
and you are only mine, with soft lips and big eyes
whereupon I take the clips from your hair

and I see your beauty
our passion goes to practical reality,
stripped bare without leaves

we shine like the world outside in vulnerability like rainbows,
where passion sweeps us away from uncovering
and you are only mine, with soft lips and big eyes

pretty, pure and untouched
in moments of ecstasy without fatigue.
Now is the winter with trees naked
stripped bare without leaves

and I am totally lost in you.
and then you first come past and then to me,
where passion sweeps us away from uncovering
with a yellow raincoat, your pants splashed wet, laughing and glad.

Sorrow D'Crees

Sorrow D'Crees
By: Adam M. Snow

The night will be torn in twos,
And days stripped away,
And hearts shattered a thousand times,
By the alleviant of sorrow d'crees.

To wake and be no morrow.
To love and live, but not live to love.
A d'crees sought by woes of many;
A heart shadowed by a stillness clock,
By the foe of twenty men.

A dream stripped from a child's grasp,
Shattered by a hellish song
Sung by a acute sorrow,
By the likes of sorrow d'crees.

A Self Indestructible

just being myself
that is what is left of myself
after everything is
taken away from me
after i am stripped
of my name my honor
my property

there is this soul
that you cannot kill
there is this self
that you cannot destroy

it is
indestructible

there is this thought
that subsists
on its own
eternal motion

The Tree

The weathered tree stripped bare
broken branches hang still
as though to scar its nature
no birds nest here any more
a thing of beauty has passed
into a beauty of another kind
colourless in the backdropp of sky
roots rise and fall into the ground
etchings of forgotten loves
remain as eternal memories
no lovers shade here now
the tree stands as though defiant
unwilling to relinquish to time
that which grew so tall
not dead, perhaps dying
stripped and broken it stands
the weathered tree
a work of life's true beauty
