The Ghost Train
A straw headed woman, and a barrel chested man,
A pocket full of posies with a hat brim full of sand,
Ooh - waiting for the train that never comes,
A dog chasing the tumbleweeds, across the sandy floor,
That drift along the platform, through the ticket office door,
Ooh - waiting for the train that never comes,

In the unfurling of the brilliant robes of the sun,
Squandering her splendors, through the cloudy curtains;
In the hurting light that jolts awake,

Darkness
Everything is black.
It is the light you seem to lack.
You feel completely at peace,
Like all your problems have ceased.
You aren't having to make any choices,
Or hear all those annoying voices.
You're just able to rest.
This feeling is the best.
You suddenly hear a noise,
It sounds like a creature with no poise.
It sounds like a loud crash,
As if someone is making a dash.
The footsteps seem to be getting closer,
While the person tries to become sneakier.
You open your eyes
And to your surprise
There is a stranger staring at you.
You try to think what to do,
But before you can
He reaches out his hand.
You see something gleaming,
You surely think you must be dreaming.
You try to get a look at his face,
But he's just moving at such a hurried pace.
He rushes forward
While you try to move backward.
You back against a wall,
That doesn't stop him at all.
His movements are so fast,
These images are your last.
All you will now witness
Is a horrible darkness.
This darkness is never ending.

Pitch Black
You awake from a nightmare
and find the room pitch black
You notice your not on a bed
instead, a cold slab of concrete
Where am I you think
you try to move your legs
But their chained to the concrete
you begin to panic
Outside, you hear children laughing
you think of your own, and start to cry
You hear footsteps pounding up stairs
you yank the chain, hoping it would break
Something hard hits what could be a door
you stop yanking the chain to listen
