William Blake

You Don't Believe

You don't believe -- I won't attempt to make ye:
You are asleep -- I won't attempt to wake ye.
Sleep on! sleep on! while in your pleasant dreams
Of Reason you may drink of Life's clear streams.
Reason and Newton, they are quite two things;
For so the swallow and the sparrow sings.

Reason says `Miracle': Newton says `Doubt.'
Aye! that's the way to make all Nature out.
`Doubt, doubt, and don't believe without experiment':
That is the very thing that Jesus meant,
When He said `Only believe! believe and try!
Try, try, and never mind the reason why!'

It's useless to try and make rhyme or reason of it, because one guy thinks one thing and the other guy sees a whole other thing. So I try not to take them too seriously. Lately I have them screened so I only read the positive ones.

Useless

A useless life
Useless excuse.
A waste of life
Waste of breath.
Useless useless

Useless bitch.
Useless in every way
Just so useless

My life is complicated
It is useless
Its a hopeless cause.

I may as well just end things
And go far away

Can't See

We were both cast forth from the same pale hand
And we both moved freely in the shadowlands
And we both were sculpted by the same cold wind
And we both had armor that was made of tin
And i tried to find you, but it's useless
And i tried to speak, but it was useless
And i felt so bad and i didn't know why
And it didn't get better as time went by
I was there for you, but you turned away
And i tried to find you, but you turned away
And i tried to find you, but it's useless
And i tried to speak, but was useless
And i tried to find you, but it's useless
And you're so close, but i can't see you
And you're right there, but i can't see you
And i feel so dumb and i didn't know what to do
You were right there but i can't see you
And i realize that it's useless
And i want to fight, but it's useless
And i know you're there, but it's useless
And you're everywhere, but it's useless
And i tried to say it, but my tongue got tied
And i tried to say it, but i was numb inside
And i can't see you anymore
And my peace of mind has gone through the door
And i realize that it's useless
And i thought i was right, but it was useless
And i know you're there, but it's useless
And you're everywhere, but it's useless
And i can't see now in front of my nose
And i know you're there, and i know you're close
And you're fading away - now you disappear
And i try to focus, but i can't see clear
And i don't know why i feel this way
And i can't control myself anyway
And i don't know why i feel this way
And i can't control myself anyway
And i feel so bad, but it's useless
And i feel so bad, but it's useless
And i feel so bad, but it's useless
And i can't see... now in front of my face.

An Ode To A Fallen, Afeared Angel

Your fears are now internal, meaning only you;
You have reached out to me, what am I to do?
As irrational as your actions may be, I will understand-
And shall do exactly as the REAL you would command;
I merely NEED to know WHAT to do,
And for how long, so that YOU
Are no longer irrationally afeared-
Even IF the entire world, but I, believed it weird!
I know I CAN and WILL do all of this-
And, that YOU, in your own time, NEED pursue all of this-
THIS Amazing, True, Real, and Inspiring
Dream that WE have, that WE have been e'er desiring!
THIS Dream we have that has come to Wondrous fruition,
All at once, and in spite of any Earthly man's intuition!
Why would you ask me again, about your erstwhile mate, and his real name? !
The answer lies in the fact that it is what HE was that scares YOU-what a shame
It is that I am now subject to punishment and feigned hate because of same!
It is this feigned hatred toward me, without reason, that is to blame
For all of your angst, not anything that I have ever done!
The only thing I have ever asked, and that you have ever won,
Is my undying, unconditional love-THAT is all I have ever offered;
Yet, sadly, out of some inexplicable self-loathing, you have coffered
Your own fragile heart, from the ONLY man that has EVER proffered
THIS answered Prayer to you; at every attempt I make for same, that is re-offered
TO YOU, you find yet another excuse to NOT embrace it, without explanation;
THIS self-sabotage defies any reasoned attempt at explication,
And saddens me a very great deal, because the only lady I have ever love, Truly-
Has subjected herself to such victimization, and has so cruelly
Perpetrated such a grievous wrong unto herself, that it makes MY heart ache!
DO NOT Beloved, for YOUR True Hopes and Dreams, this decision, make!

Here It Comes

I'm not so sure And yet I know
Give me your lie
It's worthless anyhow
And here it comes

I'm not so cold
As I like to think I am
Though I'll be found
Forever in your pain
And here it comes

I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one to love
I'm just useless for her
And your useless for her

I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one to love
I'm just useless for her
Yeah your useless for her
I'm just useless for her

I Love....

i love...
that's the reason i walk,
the reason i breathe.
the reason i grieve.
the reason i dance.
the reason i smile.
the reason i listen.
the reason i offer a hand.
the reason i see beauty.
the reason i see both darkness,
and light....
the reason i take chances.
the reason i keep going.
the reason i get angry.
the reason i forgive.
the reason i touch.
the reason i question.
the reason i believe.
the reason i am tolerant.
the reason i understand.
the reason i fall.
the reason i fly.
the reason i write...
the reason i am what i am!

Too much has been swept under it?

Times Of Transition

times of transition
are painful difficult
saying too much

saying not enough
saying the wrong thing
or even the right thing

at the wrong time
even without trying
we are changing

as life
circumstances
change us

an attempt
to become
our greatest

potential
is a course
we must chart

ever
attempt
to follow

Hands

If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small

Tristan Tzara

We (Dadaists) are often told that we are incoherent, but into this word people try to put an insult that it is rather hard for me to fathom. Everything is incoherent... There is no logic... The acts of life have no beginning and no end. Everything happens in a completely idiotic way. That is why everything is alike. Simplicity is called Dada. Any attempt to conciliate an inexplicable momentary state with logic strikes me as a boring kind of game... Like everything in life, Dada is useless... Perhaps you will understand me better when I tell you that Dada is a virgin microbe that penetrates with the insistence of air into all of the spaces that reason has not been able to fill with words or conventions.

`I Hope`

I hope
I know it's stupid to hope
it always seems so pointless
so useless
and stupid
because when you hope
you think there's something better
when there never is
and when your hope is proven useless
you die a little inside
I hope
and because I hope
my life
my body
and soul
is dead
