Close Your Eyes
I am walking the streets at night,
bathing myself in the moonlight,
watching others go about their business,
so many people living in the darkness,
but this is not a dark and colourless land,
for you must try and understand,
that here your thoughts are divine,
as every moment is frozen in time.
Close your eyes, forget your name,
for in darkness we’re all the same.
Close your eyes, then lose yourself,
for you’re the same as anyone else.
Close your eyes, release your past,
for the future is the one and only task.
Close your eyes, follow your soul,
as it will make you complete and whole.
I am lying awake in my bed,
thinking about what people have said,
words spoken in times of madness,

Dreams that have melted now frozen like statues
Under the surface here lies the unknown
Love has a way of disguising its purpose
Seeing your pain my hand goes out to you
You should have known better than to trust him
How the pain shines through your eyes

If I could just close my eyes
See just what I wanted to see
It would be much easier to live this life,
Thinking that it never really comes down to me
Sometimes I wanna close my eyes
So I cant see time while its slipping away
Were all walking a very fine line,
Until reality is somehow thrown in our face
Bury it deep and maybe you wont feel the pain
But you cant let it go
