My Way
(words & music by anka - francois - revaux)
And now the end is near
So I face the final curtain
My friend, Ill say it clear
Ill state my case of which Im certain
Ive lived a life thats full
Ive traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Regrets, Ive had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
Oh, and more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, Im sure you know
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way
Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried
Ive had my fails, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, no not me
I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has not
To say the words he truly feels
And not the words he would reveal
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

My Way
And now the end is near.
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear.
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.
I've lived a life that's full.
I traveled ewach and every highway.
And more, much more than this: I did it my way.
Regrets--I've had a few.
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do.
I saw it through without exemption.
I plan each charted course,
Each careful step along the byway.
And more, much more than this, I did it my way.
Yes there were times,
I'm sure you knew,
When I bit off
More than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way.
I've loved,
I've laughed and cried.
I had my fill, my share of losing.
And now as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that,
And may I say, not in a sly way.
Oh no, oh no not me, I did it my way.
Oh what is a man?
What has he got?
If not himself, then he has not.
To say the things he truly feels.
And not the words of one who kneels.

My Way
And out isn't perfect
My friends I'll say it too
Stay my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life as full
I've traveled each and every highway
Oh and more as more gets
I did it my way
Regrets I've had a few
But they're too few to mention
I did what I had
It's all through without exemption
I play each charted course
I've traveled each and every byway
And more much more than this
I did it my way
Well twice I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
I knew it all without a doubt
I ate it up and I had to spit it out
I passed it on and I stood tall
And I did it my way

Thigh Way (Song Parody of 'My Way')
to the tune of 'MY Way'
And now, my weigh-ins near
and my poor scale faces destruction
I've cheated, had some LITE beers
then gotten quotes for liposuction
I've eaten way past full
and then had one more for the highway
I've gotten old, I've gotten fat
don't diet my way!
Bagettes, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention
I love my salty snacks
but that's what gave me hypertension
I planned each 3 course meal
at greasy spoons along the highway
Ive gotten old
I've gotten fat
don't diet my way
Yes there were times when I was blue
Ice cream in quarts, I would go through
but through it all, despite the gout
I'd eat it in, or take it out
I ate it all, - and I'm not tall
don't diet my way
I've lunched, I've wined and dined
I've had my failed attempts at losing
but now my jeans just split
and it no longer seems amusing.
To think I ate it all
and may I say not in a shy way
I've gotten old, I've gotten fat
don't diet my way
For what is a meal without cake for desert
and JOGGING IS DANGEROUS - a guy could get hurt
I ate the foods I truly craved
and never once was fashion's slave
The weight-in shows, I need new clothes
don't diet my way!

Wind Words
WHILST THE WIND BLOWS
THOUGHT-LOSING WORDS BLEW ALONG
REFLECTING ON THEIR OWN MONOLOGUES
KNOWING MORE THAN THEY SAY
WOULD STAY SILENT
IF WORDS UNDERSTAND
WHAT THEIR CONTENTS IS
BUT WHO KNOWS WHAT WORDS KNOW
WOULD THEY SHARE
WHAT WORDS UNDERSTAND
WHISPERING THEIR KNOWLEDGE
THOUGHT-LOSING AND SILENT
TO THE WIND
OH, WIND - WHAT WOULD HAPPEN
WHEN YOU KNOW
WHAT WORDS UNDERSTAND
ALL THEIR MEANINGS
SPOKEN INTO YOU
AND BEEN HEARD
READY FOR A NEW VOICE
PUTTING THOUGHTS SOFTLY
BETWEEN YOUR LETTERS
OH, LOVELY WIND
WOULD YOU CARRY YOUR WISDOM
ABOUT SPOKEN WORDS CONFIDENTIAL
TO THE WAITING ONES
AND GIVE BACK ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE
TO SENDERS IN RETURN
WHAT WOULD THE WORLD KNOW
WHEN WINDS SHARE THEIR WISDOM
WHILST THE WIND BLOWS

Lost For Words
If I can't find the words...
Waiting for this feeling
That I'm drowning in to subside
You make me swim like a beginner
Like I'm new at life
All these words don't come easy
No they always seem to stop
There is awkward silence yeah
Anytime we talk
Oh but I wanna let it in
I wanna ease all your doubts
I keep trying to get it out
But if I can't find the words
To tell you what I'm feeling
Baby that don't mean
It don't mean that I don't feel it
I'm trying to tell you girl
But if you don't believe just look and see
My face says what you mean to me
When I can't find the words
I know I can send you flowers
To try to make my feelings clear
And girl I could hold you tight for hours
I wanna tell you what you're trying to hear
Oh and I wanna let it in
I wanna ease all your doubts
I keep trying to get it out
But if I can't find the words
To tell you what I'm feeling
Baby that don't mean
It don't mean that I don't feel it
I'm trying to tell you girl
But if you don't believe just look and see
My face says what you mean to me
When I can't find the words
But I know sometimes I leave you so upset
Cos I got all these bits and pieces in my head
I know because I let you struggle with the things I haven't said
When I can't find the words
When I can't find the words
When I, when I, when I can't find the words
I wanna ease all your doubts (ease all your doubts)
I keep trying to get it out
But if I can't find the words
To tell you what I'm feeling
But baby that don't mean
It don't mean that I don't feel it
I'm trying to tell you girl
But if you don't believe just look and see
My smile says what you mean to me
When I can't find the words
If I can't find the words

What My Heart Wants To Say
you're amazing
so amazing
have I told you
enough
you're my angel
guardian angel
god knows I've been blessed with love
but if I been gone tomorrow
would you know how deep my loves goes
have I ever told you
you're the one
if the words don't come my way
hope its still love
hope it still shows
if the words don't come my way
hope you still know what my heart wants to say
words so tender
I surrender
to this feeling
so true
my affirmation
my inspiration
darling I have been blessed with you
if the words don't come my way
hope you still know
hope it still shows
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know what my heart wants to say
but if I be gone tomorrow
would you know how deep my loves goes
if I was gone forever
would you know how much I care
you make me feel like flying
and failing all emotion
that everytime you look at me
you see it in my eyes
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
I hope it still shows
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
what my heart wants to say
if the words don't come my way
I hope you still know
hope it still shows
if the worst don't come my way
I hope you still know
I hope it still shows
I hope still you know
what my heart wants to say

Words
I've been thinking
a lot about me
and the art of good conversation
everyone talks and nobody listens
and the wind blows my words away.
I've been thinking a lot
about me
and the art of communication
if nobody listens
there's no need to talk
and the wind blows my words away.
You see I've been thinking
a lot
about me
and my final destination
Death has a strange fascination for me
and words are my only salvation.

Life In Her Creaking Shoes
Life in her creaking shoes
Goes, and more formal grows,
A round of calls and cues:
Love blows as the wind blows.
Blows! . . . in the quiet close
As in the roaring mart,
By ways no mortal knows
Love blows into the heart.
The stars some cadence use,
Forthright the river flows,
In order fall the dews,
Love blows as the wind blows:
Blows! . . . and what reckoning shows
The courses of his chart?
A spirit that comes and goes,
Love blows into the heart.

I Was The One
(words & music by schroeder - demetruis - blair - peppers)
I was the one who taught her to kiss
The way that she kisses you now.
And you know the way she touches your cheek,
Well, I taught her how.
I was the one who taught her to cry
When she wants you under her spell.
The sight of her tears drives you out of your mind,
I taught her so well.
And then one day
I had my love as perfect as could be.
She lived, she loved, she laughed, she cried,
And it was all for me.
Ill never know who taught her to lie.
Now that its over and done,
Who learned the lesson when she broke my heart?
I was the one.
And then one day
I had my love as perfect as could be.
She lived, she loved, she laughed, she cried,
And it was all for me.
Ill never know who taught her to lie.
Now that its over and done,
Who learned the lesson when she broke my heart?
I was the one.

Talk To My Heart
I found a friend someone to help me
And a place I can be myself when Im in trouble now
Ive lost it and I dont know how
I come to you cause you can show me
Get me back to the me I know with a remedy
Baby I need your therapy
With your healing kiss you know how to make my mind relax
I will listen to the words you say and just lie back
Chorus
Talk to my heart thats where real talkin starts
Words of love that cut straight to my heart
Reach out and touch so few words say so much
I can hear you when you tell it like it is
When you talk straight to my heart
I guess it shows I need attention
Somehow youre asking all the right questions and Ive gotta say
Whats been on my mind these days
And I know you know just how to make my mind react
When its coming straight from you thats my first point of contact
Chorus
Talk to my heart thats where real talkin starts
Words of love that cut straight to my heart
Reach out and touch so few words say so much
I can hear you when you tell it like it is
When you talk straight to my
Im bad at making decisions
But being alone with you just feels so right feels so right
Im losing my inibitions
With every minute I share with you tonight share it with you tonight
Repeat chorus

Doubt
At first I had my doubt, that crossed with mystery,
Yet I hold you dear, to listened the words you say,
you never said them clear, but you said them differently,
So when you’re not there, I hear them breathe silently.
In doubt, I too fear; to repeat those words completely,
but losing fear, I may find the courage which finds you,
abiding in knowledge unclear; in time I may define reality,
yet still love you, and find manners have no clue.
We laughed and share memories passion and pain,
but doubt cheats on joy, and success can never rejoice,
to gain back every full moment left with that stain,
good manners taken to make the better choice.
Doubt at first, I thought was hard to bear,
until fear unclear removed the darkness into light,
and once that was done, I could walk on air,
and go where wisdom and mystery glow bright.
With no wings to fly, but if I sail towards that land,
that’s when I discover doubt had no place to hide,
from courage possessing the passions that are strong,
and seem content where love defines to stay inside.

So Few Words
That so few words could cut so deeply
That words alone could so offend
Cast not aside my love so cheaply
For wounds of passion seldom mend
That so few words could cause such pain
That words alone could make a man cry
And doubt if he will ever love again
Or ever have the courage to even try
That so few words could tear us apart
That words alone could a love destroy
Cast a shadow of despair on my heart
And take away all my love's joy
That so few words could end a love
That words alone could cause such tears
Falling like the heaviest rains from above
Losing you was one of my greatest fears

Love Isolation
These are words
Just for you
Only words
But it's all i can do
Reasons fade
As reasons can do
All i want
Is to talk with you
You cried with me
Laughed at me
Talked to me
Sheltered me
Fought by me
Lied for me
You lived for me
So call me
And i'll run to you
Ask me
And i'd die for you
You were there
You were always there
Like a friend
Like a lifelong friend
And i love you
I broke your heart
And you stole mine
Memories lie
But they're all i can find
Call my name
Sing my song
Call for me
I've been waiting so long
Just call me
And i'll run to you
Ask me
And i'd die for you
You were there
You were always there
Like a friend
Like a lifelong friend
And i miss you

More Than You'll Ever Know
Travis Tritt
I know living with me ain't always easy
But girl when you're not by my side
I feel a part of me has died
'Cause I love you more than you'll ever know
More than life more than I've ever loved before
It's absurd and beyond words
I couldn't want you more
And when I try to hold my heart out to you
I'm not sure it shows
That I love you more than you'll ever know
I'm sure you've heard it say hearts have windows
But mine has doors a painful past has closed
Unless someday they open wide revealing feelings locked inside
I'll love you more than you'll ever know
More than life more than I've ever loved before
It's absurd and beyond words
I couldn't want you more
And when I try to hold my heart out to you
I'm not sure it shows
That I love you more than you'll ever know
Even when I hold my heart out to you
I'm not sure it shows
That I love you more than you'll ever know
Yes I love you more than you'll ever know

Do Not Pity Me
Do not pity me, my friend.
Do not pity me.
For I have always lived my life
the way I wanted it to be.
I played. I sang
and laughed a lot.
And all the tears
I cried, I forgot.
Do not pity me, my friend.
Do not pity me.
For I was granted gifts from God,
gifts you cannot see.
A feeling of freedom,
a feeling of peace,
an intuitive knowing
that troubles do cease.
Do not pity me, my friend.
Do not pity me.
For I have learned my lessons well
and know I hold the key
that opens up my diary.
Its pages are filled with anecdotal times
that ring out like bells
and sweet wind chimes.
A marriage of joys
with two baby boys,
a childhood filled
with more than just toys,
Aches and pain
that helped me retain
compassion for those
that suffer life's blows.
So do not pity me, my friend.
Do not pity me.
For I can smile and I can say
I lived my life how I wanted it to be.

Goodbyes
Words we don't like to say
situation where it garnish them
some happy, many sad, few the final ones
words and tears just hurt the mood
either a simple or a long time
hugs, kisses, hand shakes, trades of numbers
will you ever see them again, soon or later
time tells us when and where, sad or happy times
airports, bus stations, by the car, at funeral
no matter where you are, those words are hard to say
Soldiers off to war, kids to college, to a new life
you never know what lies around the corner
just to say those words just makes you miss them more
wait to say hello and welcome back
but for now i leave you with these final words
Goodbye, see you real soon, love you

Distant friends
Once the friends we were,
We laughed together, we cried together,
We played together, we dreamt together,
We enjoyed good times together, we overcame the bad times together.
Now that we live miles away,
I think of you, think of our times together,
Should distance ever matter?
Because you are in my heart forever.
Sometimes when I feel lonely,
I get swept away by the memory of your friendship,
You were a friend in need, a friend indeed,
You made my nightmare and sorrows vanish with ease.
When you were near, I never said how good friend you were,
Even now from a distance, I don't need words to describe it,
The language of friendship is not words, but its meanings,
It is a feeling which does not require explaining.

Trying Not To Love You
Album: Tribute To Merle Haggard
Trying not to love you, failing in every way
With you around I keep losing ground day by day
Trying to be fair both to me and to you
Trying not to love you, is hard to do.
But, I guess there's no use hiding
What everybody knows
'Cause to other eyes there's no disguise
For the love that shows
So If I'm not being clear
I'll explain these words to you
Trying not to love you is hard to do.
--- Instrumental ---
Well, I guess there's no use hiding
What everybody knows
'Cause to other eyes there's no disguise
For the love that shows
So If I'm not being clear, baby
I'll explain these words to you
Trying not to love you is hard to do.
Trying not to love you is so hard to do...
