If this world were mine, I would stop people from killing each other.
I would give money to the poor.

Never Mind The Brand
(This poem was inspired by a comment placed on one of my pieces by my friend Alison Cassidy.)
When a friend throws you a line
never worry about its brand,
just think of that friend
with the outstretched hand.
The line is there to help
you through the bad times in your life.
Never mind the brand name,
just grasp hold
and be glad it is there.
Every lifeline is different,
but is common in one way.

O Alison Gross, that lives in yon tow'r,
The ugliest witch in the north countrie,
She trysted me ae day up till her bow'r,
And mony fair speeches she made to me.
She straik'd my head, and she kaim'd my hair,
And she set me down saftly on her knee;
Says--'If ye will be my leman sae true,
Sae mony braw things as I will you gi'e.'
She shaw'd me a mantle of red scarlet,
With gowden flowers and fringes fine;

She neist brocht a sark of the saftest silk,
