This World Today
Maurice white, wade flemmons & don whitehead
In this new world
The world of today
Now you might think
That the world has changed
But boy meets girl
Same as before
And they vow their love forever more
In this world today.
In this new world
Of troubled times
Just you look back
And Im sure youll find
Man fighting man
For no cause at all
And though it is wrong
The fighting goes on
In this world today.
Why do you say
Were in a different bag
When all the things you did
Were just as bad.
In this new world
Of suffering
Love, peace of mind
Should be our thing
Let man join hands
The old and the young
And let every heart
Now beat as one
In this world today.
Love, peace of mind should be our thing
Love, peace of mind should be our thing
Love, peace of mind should be our thing.

Love, Oh Love
Show the world and all its people
All the wonders love can bring
Give us strength and understanding
Give us all one song to sing
Let the music play
Play it loud and make it clear
Its time to stand up
To a new world that is now so near
From the bottom to the top
To the leaders of the land
We all have one heart
Everyone of us must lend a hand
And let there be joy in the world
And let there be no sorrow
(let there be)
And let there be peace on earth
And let there be peace on earth
For all the world
Weve got to see
That love, oh love
What a blessed thing (oh, yeah)
Say it loud
Make it clear today
All the walls are falling down
No more children off to war
If we search in our hearts
All the suffering will be no more
And let there be joy in the world
And let there be no sorrow
For all gods children
Let them see
That love, oh love
What a blessed thing (oh, yeah)
Say it loud
Make it clear today
And freedom, no more lies
We can save this world if we try
One world I know we can make it
Yes, its only in your heart
Yes, its only in your dreams
You can climb the highest mountains
You can make the whole world sing
Love, oh love
What a blessed thing (oh, yeah)
Say it loud
Make it clear today

People Talk Of Love...
In today's world of greed,
In today's world of fraud,
In today's world of broken relations,
People talk of true love.
In today's world of materialism,
In today's world of selfishness,
In today's world of distress,
People talk of true love.
In today's world of mishappenings,
In today's world of misunderstandings,
In today's world of one- night stands,
People talk of true love.
People have the right to love;
If they honour the values and culture.
People have the right to love;
If they know the need of each other.
and people have the right to love
If they have faith that one day they 'll be together.

Let Peace Prevail In This World.......
When you look for peace
then the peace lies within you
When you search for peace
then it is not hard to find
When you want to keep peace alive
then you allow white doves to fly over you
When you make peace with others
then the whole world live in your heart
When you let peace be in the world
then you live in wonderful world
When you allow peace flow around the world
then your hateness will go and love will flow
When you open the door for peace
then peace welcome to your lives.
Let the peace prevail in our wonderful world

What is Peace? ?
What is peace? ?
Peace is when you care for others,
Peace is when there is no violence in the world,
Peace is much more powerful then evil,
Peace is easily found when you give others what you desire,
Peace is the answer to all the wars in the world,
Peace is when there is unity among all the people,
Peace is when your soul can rest,
Peace is when there is hope of good above,
Peace is when there is love for others,
Peace is when there is acceptance in the world,
Peace is bringing joy to the world,
Peace is in helping others
This is what Peace is,
This and much more!

The Peace of God vs. The Peace of The World
-God says I give you the peace of God, that passes all Understanding
The World says ' I will give you peace' but the world doesn't tell you that that peace is just too Demanding.
-God says Love thy neighhbor
The world says hate thy enemy and love only under certain circumstances.
-God says I will show you the way, for I am a lamp unto your feet
The world says You are on your own.
*The peace of God vs the Peace of the World
The world says ' Go head girl put cha leg up' and that 69 is fine
-The Lord says: ' Have fun' but Honor me cus I am yours and you are Mine.
The world says ' this ain't burger king, you can't always have it your way'.
-The Lord says 'don't worry, tommorrow will be a brighter day'!
The world gives you hope, peace and joy that is only temporary
-But the Lord gives you joy like a river overflowing, smiles that have other people glowing.
He makes your enemy your footstool,
whereas the world lets everyone walk all over you.
The world gives you a candle that will soon burn out
-God gives you a lamp, that will eliminate all doubt
* The peace of God vs the Peace of the world.
Oh the illusions of peace from the world
And the reality of God's Peace
It gives you the ability to teach
the ability to preach
and the ability to face seen and unseen realities.
oh the illusion s seem similar,
But NO, OH NO there are NO commonalities!
So which one will you take?
The Peace of God or the Peace of the World.

Peace!
Everything comes from God above
Both Heaven and earth agree
That peace will only come through love
Once truth has set us free
When all mankind does Heaven’s will
And rights the things gone wrong
Then peace one day her heart will fill
Then joy will be her song
But still our wars on earth increase
It seems that no one cares
What is this thing the world calls peace?
What are the fruit it bears?
We now must learn to pray as one
Must cease each selfish fight
Until true peace through love is won
And hearts through Christ unite
Before this world can live as blessed
The truth she needs to see
Her differences must come to rest
Her wars must cease to be
We disagree through injured pride
We kill because of hate
Because of foolish things inside
To love, we close the gate
When in the world true love we sow
When love flows through our hearts
In individuals peace can grow
And true Salvation starts
For what is peace without true love?
How can the world survive?
How can a soul join God above?
And ever stay alive

Future World
I know a place we all can go
Dont wanna live here anymore
I see a planet slowly die
And I get tired of wondering why
Come and join the right future world
Dont you wanna be free and alive
Come and join the right future world
To a world where we all can survive
Get on board and fly with me
To the future world (future world)
To let our children grow up there in peace
We can live in harmony
In another world (another world)
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
Get on board and fly with me
To the future world (future world)
We can build a better world up there
Love is not just make-believe
In another world (another world)
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
Dont waste the precious life away
The spaceships taking off today
Leave your belongings all behind
Everything you need is in your mind
Get on board and fly with me
To the future world (future world)
We can build a better world up there
Love is not just make-believe
In another world (another world)
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away
10.000 lightyears away...

Love With Peace And Justice
It's a troubled World we live in the World of today
But love with peace and justice only decades away
In fifty years or less from now there won't be mistrust and hate
The war lords and the men of war will have passed their use by date.
Those who love peace and justice are beginning to unite
And for the men who worship war their loss of power in sight
Soon war jets will not fly the sky under the cloak of night
And those who promote harmony will be the men of might.
The yearn for peace is spreading getting stronger by the day
And those who are divisive will not have a part to play
In the World of the future the racist and the cruel
Will not have any power at all only the just will rule.
The children who are born today will surely live to see
A World of peace and harmony and of war and hatred free
For the yearn for peace is spreading and with each passing day it grow
And war will be unheard of in forty years or so.

I Love Every Little Thing About You
Though they say youre not my friend
Youve been here through thick and thin
And for that little girl I love ya
And all I want to do is talk about ya.
Im here to say
I love you more each day
And I just want to tell the world
That I love you so.
Though they put me down because
I love you as much as I do
But they dont know what youve done for me
Youve made such a happy man out of me.
And Im here to say
Love you everyday, yea
And I just want to tell the world
That I love you so.
Baby, I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing
About you baby
Oh yea, I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing
About you baby, mmm yea
Though they say that I am wrong
Cause my love is strong
Theres only one that I place above you.
Its God that I place above you.
Girl I just want to say
Love you more each day, yea
I just want to tell the world
That I love you so, yea.
Some folks say that its strange
But my whole life you have changed
Youve saved all the pain the worlds put on me
All I want to do is talk about you and Im here to say
Love you everyday, yea yea
Telling everybody that,
I love you so, yea yea
I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing about you baby, yea yea yea
I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing about you baby.
Oh yea, I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing about you baby.
You know I love, I love ever lit thing, about you babe,
I love it
I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing about you baby.
I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing about you baby.
-every damn thing about you baby
I love, I love, I love, I love every little thing about you baby. oo
Ooh, mmm, sugar, all right, cookie, puddin, oh yea
Mmm, candy, all right,
An big ol piece of cake
(your baby loves you
He loves every little thing about you.)

The Symbol Of Trust
It is about you and me,
And it is about lust and love;
But where is the symbol of trust?
It is about a boy and a girl,
And it is about a man and a woman;
But where is the symbol of trust?
Allegations and manoevres,
But a better classroom will make the difference!
For today i have met you.
Who is telling the truth and, who is telling the lie?
For i am only human and do make mistakes at times;
But where is the my lover to satisfy me?
There is no pity in war!
And you are fighting bullets with stones;
But, where is the love that you promised me?
It is about the mind of peace and the mind at war,
And it is about you and i on this love;
But where is the symbol of trust?
It is about the world that we live in,
And it is about the lust of the people than love;
But where is the symbol of trust?
Now i know where this world is heading towards.

World Poetry Day,2012
Peace is what the world needs fast
Peace is required most
Peace can't come by waging wars
Peace is born through great efforts!
Peace can dwell when love prevails
Peace is the driving force
Peace must last forever to
Keep the world love life firstly
Peace is the priceless wealth much sought
Peace must start from homes
Peace must spread through all nations
And fill hearts and minds of men
Peace is one that brings progress
Peace can bridge differences
Peace is made by dialogues
Peace is the key to world's happiness

Part Of Me
Rain, such a simple thang
Every drop, a different stop
But they all come from the same
God is the cloud
And we are the rain
Thats why I sometimes feel
That somehow we are the same
Whenever I lay my head to sleep
Theres a strong thought that keeps haunting my mind
Careless whispers of a nation
That somehow was caught trapped in the dark
And nowhere to go
I know my thoughts are tellin me
Chorus
Gotta be a part of me
I can feel it
Gotta be a part of me
In my heart, in my soul
Gotta be a part of me
The world must be callin me
And my world comes from within
Life has no guarantees
That youll keep what you have
Even though youre blessed with then
Thats why Im feeling
Some fear for the world
With all the grief and misery
How much real time is there
The sooner I take more responsibilities
I can truly say
I am grateful for my world
The irony of tryin to do the right thing
Is whatever you do, some will undo
And sometimes destroy
And theres someone still left in darkness
And you say
Chorus
Bridge (spoken)
The world is what we make it
What we see today
Are the results of the mistakes they made yesterday
And what we see tomorrow
Will be the results of what we do today
Its a shame that peace and respect
Has been replaced with money and power
The children, they are the futures
So teach them how to love themselves
And they will love others
Dont you see, love - thats the key
Chorus
Out

13th October
Today i am 47 years old and,
I hope i have done my best on this earth;
But i still respect all those who love me and,
All those who hate me.
To whosoever i have hurt along the line,
I say i am sorry;
And to whosoever i have helped along this line,
Do extend the blessings of love to one another.
Yes, i came into the world on Friday the 13th;
And my mind is always ahead of man,
But many still do not understand who i am.
Please, do you know me very well?
Then it is a blessing to you;
But if you don't know who i am too,
It is also a blessing to you!
For praises should rather go the Creator in heaven.
I have gone through life in many ways since my birth,
But most of them are my very hardships in Africa!
And today i am what i am with my poems to you all.
Let us put the world into a better place than hate,
Let us love one another in peace than hate,
For we still have to learn from one another;
And this world was made for you and i.
13th October,
My very entrance into this world for mankind to know who i am;
But this world of ours is still very complex! !

Children Of The Grave
Revolution in their minds - the children start to march
Against the world in which they have to live
And all the hate thats in their hearts
Theyre tired of being pushed around
And told just what to do
Theyll fight the world until theyve won
And love comes flowing through
Children of tomorrow live in the tears that fall today
Will the sun rise up tomorrow bringing peace in any way?
Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear?
Can they win the fight for peace or will they disappear?
So you children of the world,
Listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in
Spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive
You must be brave
Or you children of today are
Children of the grave, yeah!

All The Will In The World
(r palmer)
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
Do it
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
Start with intoductions, something in her glance
Sets your heart aflutter
Makes you want to take a chance
Maybe shes the right one, like the only girl in all the world
All the will in the world
When you meet that someone, try with alll your might
Dont give up so easy, love is really worth the fight
Tenderness and passion
Keep romance alive around the world
Give the girl a little love and understanding
You get going when the going gets tough
Keep it up now or love will leave you standing
Keep loving cos youll never get enough
Keep fighting for your true love
With the best will in the world
Reach out for the stars above
With the best will in the world
Lovers expectations reach out to the stars
Everything they dreamt of right there in each others arms
Theyve just got to make it yeah
With all the will in all the world
All the will in the world
After all youve been through, since you got this far
Now the dust has settled, have you really won her heart?
How do you compare to
All the other lovers in the world?
Take a little time to iron out a difference
Dont let your temper get in your way
You got to count to ten and exercise some patience
A little understanding goes a long long way
Keep fighting for your true love
With the best will in the world
Reach out for the stars above
With the best will in the world
Start with intoductions, something in her glance
Sets your heart aflutter
Makes you want to take a chance
Maybe shes the right one, like the only girl in all the world
You never knew, till love came looking for you
You thought that youd never find it
Now that shes here
Now theres no doubt that its true
Now its for real
Now you can win with, all the will in the world
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
All the will in the world
Can move a mountain
All the will in the world
Can make you satisfied
All the will in the world
Something to count on
All the will in the world
Take life in your stride
All the will in the world
Keep fighting for your true love
With the best will in the world
Reach out for the stars above
With the best will in the world
Keep fighting for your true love
With the best will in the world
Reach out for the stars above
With the best will in the world
Keep fighting for your true love
With the best will in the world
Reach out for the stars above
With the best will in the world
Keep fighting for your true love
With the best will in the world
Reach out for the stars above
With the best will in the world

Let There Be Peace
Let there be peace in the world.
Let us all see peace and not war.
For If there is no peace in the world,
Then the world will be no more.
But if we find peace in our hearts
And turn our backs to war,
Then the world will prosper and live forevermore.
For peace is stronger than hate
And hate is weaker than peace.
Let there be peace in the world, let peace never cease.
Let there be peace in the world, let war forever cease.
The Mind Of A Poet
If horses could fly,
I could have been the first person in heaven;
But, here i am today as a bard.
If roses could smile,
I could have love all the woman in the world;
But, here i am today as a teacher.
If donkeys could teach,
I could have been the first Professor on earth;
But, here i am today with my mind.
All that muses teaches the world,
All that is lively makes me glad;
This is the mind of a poet unknown.
I am sitting next to you and,
I am seeing what you do;
Like the love of poetry.
I am the eye to many,
I am the mind of many,
The love of a muse is what i bring to you;
This is the mind of a poet unknown.
The love of poetry,
The love of a muse;
The mind of a poet to the world so sweet!
If horses could fly,
I could have been the first person in heaven.

In this world of today
In this world of today
Youths fight
Adults shout
Children run and lie about
In this world of today
Kids are dying
Men are fighting
But we don't hear them crying
In this world of today
News reports talk s***
But what if they lived it
Maybe they would see
In this world of today
They lie to our face
They say its ok but we know it's a race
But what if we all took it at a steady pace
In this world today
We don't know what to say
But we keep up the fight
Protest with riots cause we want all our rights
