Geography is just physics slowed down, with a couple of trees stuck in it.

An hour or two spent in writing from dictation, another hour or two in reading aloud, a little geography and a little history and a little physics made the day pass busily.

The Hanging Tree.... (What Do We Call It...)
down through the woods
to the clearing where
the hanging tree stood...
sometimes you can still see
the shadows of ghosts,
swinging in the hot summer sun...
now the tree has been cut,
and time has passed,
yet the air's still heavy with guilt.
do we know more?
are we more civilized?
or have we just changed trees,
and gotten better rope?
what do we call the young men
sent to die in the oil wars...
the young people stuck
in the gang ridden slums?
the bullied ones who lose hope?
the illegal immigrants who die for work?
the young couple stuck on unemployment
and food stamps?
the elderly couple evicted
cause they cant afford the rent?
the Muslim family afraid to go out at night?
the gay couple in love who cant get married?
the young children without a father?
the millions strung out on pills?
what do we call it,
if we dont call it hanging?

That attitude does not exist so much today, but in those days there was a very sharp distinction between basic physics and applied physics. Columbia did not deal with applied physics.

In the sun
A dog is a dog
And a bird is a bird.
I m flying like bird
and guard my house
like dog.
Dog and bird friends
And in the open field
both want to study
geography.
Geography differs
from person to person
from history to history
from time to time.
And in future
geography melt
like fog in the sun.

In twin
It needs a couple of wings
To fly
A couple to walk
A couple to talk
And for love a couple of hearts
to beat
To rain it needs a couple
To shine it needs a couple
And the life it needs to share
With couple
For one smile it needs
two hearts
In one band
in the bundle of love
The heart is not alone
Not bachelor
That is way
They beat
In twin.

The art of biography is different from geography. Geography is about maps, but biography is about chaps.

Do Da Da
Every time I'm fallin' down
You take the reprecussions
Headaches and anxieties
Advancing my frustrations
Rushings of my depression
Sacrifice everything
Waste with me into nothing
Well now you're stuck with me
Stuck with me
Stuck with me
Hand up your soul to my wrist
And I'll vow my trust to you
Moving here I always thought
I realized you've imagined
Rushings of my depression
Sacrifice everything
Waste with me into nothing
Well now you're stuck with me
Stuck with me
Stuck with me
Rushings of my depression
Sacrifice everything
Waste with me into nothing
Well now you're stuck with me
Stuck with me
Stuck with me

When I entered medical physics in 1958 there were fewer than 100 in the U.S. and I could see many opportunities to apply my knowledge of nuclear physics.

There's no fun in physics, but a good deal of physics in fun.
A consistent pursuit of classical physics forces a transformation in the very heart of that physics.

My physics teacher, Thomas Miner was particularly gifted. To this day, I remember how he introduced the subject of physics. He told us we were going to learn how to deal with very simple questions such as how a body falls due to the acceleration of gravity.

The violent reaction on the recent development of modern physics can only be understood when one realises that here the foundations of physics have started moving; and that this motion has caused the feeling that the ground would be cut from science.

The Discovery
In the wall-less wide dusty yard,
My heart urged to be amused,
But I found nothing around,
And would play with toyless hands.
Standing in middle of the drawn ring,
I moved my body round and round,
Stretching arms like a Turkish dervish,
Who tends to gain ecstatic heights,
Till made me giddiness thumping fall.
Lay I with forcefully opened eyes,
Watched the trees, houses and ricks,
Running around making sacred circles,
As if I were the pivot of the world,
And all they the tributing pilgrims.
The figures then slowed, slowed down,
I rubbed my eyes and pondered finding,
The circling objects standing still,
Ah! At the discovery I was shocked,
By the circling world I was mocked.

I put quite a few trees in last autumn. A lot of silver birch and a couple of native trees - just generally doing gardening, putting plants in and hedges in. It takes quite a lot of time and I love it.
This book is about physics and its about physics and its relationship with mathematics and how they seem to be intimately related and to what extent can you explore this relationship and trust it.

With Their Doings Done
Some feel free to be sadistic,
With doings done.
And the having of fun.
Idealistic realists,
With doings done.
And a wanting of truth to appear and come.
And they who are minimalists,
Try to reduce materialistic wishes...
With doings undone seeking to do.
Some feel free to be sadistic,
With doings done.
And the having of fun.
Idealistic realists,
With doings done.
And a wanting of truth to appear and come
And they who are minimalists,
Try to reduce materialistic wishes...
With doings undone seeking to do.
Many have slowed their paces...
With their doings done.
Doings done.
Eliminating their rat races...
With their doings done.
Doings done.
And celebrating tasting life...
As if a piece of cake,
To savor.
Many have slowed their paces...
With their doings done.
Doings done.
Eliminating their rat races...
With their doings done.
Doings done.
And celebrating tasting life...
As if a piece of cake,
To savor.
Many have slowed their paces,
With a tasting of life to savor.
Many have slowed their paces,
With a tasting of life to savor.
Many have slowed their paces,
With a tasting of life to savor.
Many have slowed their paces,
With their doings done.
Doings done.
Many have slowed their paces,
With their doings done.
Many have slowed their paces,
With a tasting of life to savor...
And with their doings done.

From a consideration of the immense volume of newly discovered facts in the field of physics, especially atomic physics, in recent years it might well appear to the layman that the main problems were already solved and that only more detailed work was necessary.
