Wintertime Love

Wintertime winds blow cold the season
Fallen in love, Im hopin to be
Wind is so cold, is that the reason?
Keeping you warm, your hands touching me
Come with me dance, my dear
Winters so cold this year
You are so warm
My wintertime love to be
Winter time winds blue and freezin
Comin from northern storms in the sea
Love has been lost, is that the reason?
Trying desperately to be free
Come with me dance, my dear
Winters so cold this year
And you are so warm
My wintertime love to be
La, la, la, la
Come with me dance, my dear
Winters so cold this year
You are so warm
My wintertime love to be

Summers Here

Summers here
Im for that
Got my rubber sandals
Got my straw hat
Got my cold beer
Im just glad that Im here
Summers here
That suits me fine
It may rain today
But I dont mind
Its my favorite time of the year
And Im glad that Im here
Old man wintertime
He goes so slow
Its ten degrees below, you know
You can take your ice and snow
And let my balmy breezes blow
Yeah, the water is cold but Ive been in
Baby, lose the laundry and jump on in
I mean all gods children got skin
And its summer again
Old man wintertime
He goes so slow
Its ten degrees below, you know
You can take your ice and snow
And let my balmy breezes blow
Summers here
Im for that
Got my rubber sandals
Got my straw hat
Drinking cold beer
Man Im just that Im here
Its my favorite time of the year
And Im glad that Im here, yeah

As the cold wind blows

As the cold wind blows
I smile and laugh
As the cold wind blows
Im warm and safe
As the cold wind blows
The fire inside is hot
As the cold wind blows
My love is not for naught
As the cold wind blows
My love keeps me warm
As the cold wind blows
I feel only this love
Warming me making me
The man I am today
As the cold wind blows
I know soon this cold wind will blow away.

Old Man's Nursery Rhyme

I.

In the jolly winters
Of the long-ago,
It was not so cold as now--
O! No! No!
Then, as I remember,
Snowballs, to eat,
Were as good as apples now,
And every bit as sweet!

II.

In the jolly winters
Of the dead-and-gone,
Bub was warm as summer,
With his red mitts on,--
Just in his little waist-
And-pants all together,
Who ever heard him growl
About cold weather?

III.

In the jolly winters of the long-ago--
Was it _half_ so cold as now?
O! No! No!
Who caught his death o' cold,
Making prints of men
Flat-backed in snow that now's
Twice as cold again?

IV.

In the jolly winters
Of the dead-and-gone,
Startin' out rabbit-hunting
Early as the dawn,--
Who ever froze his fingers,
Ears, heels, or toes,--
Or'd a cared if he had?
Nobody knows!

V.

Nights by the kitchen-stove,
Shelling white and red
Corn in the skillet, and
Sleepin' four abed!
Ah! the jolly winters
Of the long-ago!
We were not so old as now--
O! No! No!

Victim Of love

With the chilly winter winds blowing,
I have become the victim of love again.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t tame.

With the ruthless cold winter coming,
I can feel the warmth of your love waning.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and to the tides of time I can’t blame.

With the dark winter nights falling,
I still walk beneath those street lights.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t name.

With the silent winter days brightening,
I still listen to our rhyme.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t claim.

With the infant winter dawn breaking,
I always hope against the hope.
Now I know that no two winters are the same,
and the tides of time I can’t make it the same.

June In January

When in January it’s June,
in March it will be August, hot
and clammy while I swoon
within your arms, if I am not
mistaken about climate change
that is inevitable when
the summer months within my range
make me perspire once again,
and long for January that’s cold,
when I feel comfortable within
your arms, not feeble, frazzled, old,
and ready to embark on sin,
without the need for air condit-
ioning that I associate with June.
That’s why in wintertime I wish
that January will not leave soon,
but when it does it should be May,
my favorite month when birds do sing,
accompanying my love each day
with joy while you make my heart spring.

Inspired by “It’s June in January, ” a song associated with Bing Crosby, written by Ralph Rainger and Leon Robin:

A clouded moon creeps across the clouded sky
Winds of January sigh and moan
And yet it's June.
I can see a sky of blue
Dear the miracle is due to you.
Just you.
It's June in January
Because I'm in love
It always is spring in my heart
with you in my arms.
The snow is just white blossoms
that fall from above.
And here is the reason, my dear,
Your magical charms.
The night is cold
The trees are bare
But I can feel the scent of roses in the air.
It's June in January
Because I'm in love.
But only because I'm in love with you.

Oh the night is cold!
Won't it be to bear?
But I can feel the scent of roses in the air.
It's June in January
Because I'm in love

Love Is A Cold Wind

Black/bourke
Love is a cold wind
When it blows away from you
As you watch it go, it hurts to know
Theres nothing you can do
Youre all alone again
And love is a cold wind
Love is a rain storm
But it only rains on you
And theres no one there who seems to care
No one to pull you through
And inside youre never warm
cause love is a rain storm
But when she was here
Love was a breezy morning
Filled with the sun
Warm as her smile
But now its done
Love is a cold wind as it blows away from
So you find your way, to yesterday
What else is there to do
Youre all alone again and love is a cold wind
But when she was here
Love was abreezy morning
Filled with the sun
Warm as her smile
But now its done
Love is a cold wind
As it blows away from you
As you watch it go
It hurts to know
Theres nothing you can do
And youre all alone again and love is a cold wind
Youre all alone again and love is a cold wind.

Love Is A Window Starlit Bright

Love is a window starlit bright
And you are the moon
That encompasses its light
Thriving like a winters flower
Visited in the mystical—night?
You are a forest of melting snow
And all that's pure and white
'You are that lover's song in echo'
Of what God made truly right.

Lord, oh lord
She kisses me still...
Prolonging each cold
-winters chill...
The thaw of passing...

Lord, oh lord
Its then she whispers!
Asks for the winds desires
In mine, burning...
Crackling... Ilex ears
Touch me not—just
In the next world:
And I'll like a feather rise
Like an attending angel
I'll kiss away all your tears
All your cries...

Lord, oh lord
Its then she whispers!
As and when the winter raps
Its winter cloak
Around your heart
I will be there to warm
And shelter you!
From the cold and the dark
As sure as the fire
That burns eternal in your heart.

Winters

Winters days are gray
And cold in their way.
A mystery Mist
Swirls gently with a twist
Threading its way
Threw the shadows of day
Winter is no longer kept at bay.

Winters winds whistle
And bend a dying thistle.
Clouds of grey race
As they chase
Across the winter scene
Winter is cold and mean
As can be seen.

Love To Keep You Warm

If you want love,
You gotta be cool
And if you deny it,
Then baby youre a fool.
Im telling you now,
Dont you hide it away.
Because you need to keep you warm both night and day.
I could come home
Late at night
And after some loving,
Baby, it would be alright.
Ive given up trying
Lying my way.
Because you need love to keep you warm both night and day,
You gotta have love to keep you warm both night and day.
I said baby, if you need my love
You better come home with me.
Maybe if you want my love,
You know you got it easily.
But, when the sun goes down
And the night is cold,
You know I wont be far away.
Because you need love to keep you warm both night and day,
You gotta have love to keep you warm both night and day.
You gotta have love.
(solo)
If you want schooling baby
Ill be around,
Im ready for fooling
But, dont hang around.
And every morning I know I will say.
Because you need love to keep you warm both night and day,
You gotta have love to keep you warm both night and day,
You gotta have love to keep you warm both night and day,
I said you need love to keep you warm both night and day.

Last Rose Of Summer

Throughout the soft and timeless days of august
til now the shadows begin to grow much longer
The sunsets fire has deepened blood red
I give you this, the last rose of summer
A token of my unyielding love
So when the winters mantle stills the earth
And all around seems dead and cold
This rose reminds you of a time when all was warm and living
Do not despair, mother nature simply rests
In sleep she has well earned
til one day not so very far from now
With the opening of the first rose buds I shall return
A token of my unyielding love
So that when winters mettle steals the earth
And all around seems dead and cold
This rose reminds you of a time when all was warm and living
The last rose of summer
The last rose of summer
In your long shadows
The last rose of summer
In the sunset
The last rose of summer
Take this rose that I give you
The last rose of summer
The last rose of summer
Dont worry about the winter
The last rose of summer
I shall return
The last rose of summer
The last rose of summer

Frosted

Cold hands, warm heart, they say,
And yet, how the cold winds chill my heart today.
Creeping within my warmly wrapped attire,
Not caring how or when they quench the fire
Contained therein. Now the body's frosted to the bone,
And to shivers prone, and hands are still so cold.
Where are warm gloves sold?

Wetsuit

Roll the dice
Now will I wipe the tears from the skies
Play your hand
How will I love my marlboro man
Say your prayers
Cause youve got enemies everywhere.
Your wetsuit is keeping you warm in your cold bed
Ill never be torn from you
You try to keep it together
You try.. your best to forget her
Silly me
Always a sucker for monogamy.
Honesty
Seems to bring out the better in me.
I wish I knew
Another way to ruin a day for you.
Your wetsuit is keeping you warm in your cold bed
Ill never be torn from you
You try to keep it together
You try.. your best to forget her
I.. just.. cant.. leave you this way..when youre not ok
And trains.. will.. pass.. through here some day, and take you away
But you wont let me hit the ground
When my heart slows down
Your wetsuit is keeping you warm in your cold head
Ill never be torn from you
You tried to keep it together
You tried to keep it together
Keep us together
Keep us together
Keep us together
Keep us together

Cold Snow Fall

The snow fall this year will be cold.
How will the homeless surive;
living on your doorstep,
or in your garden?

They will trudge through the snow,
their feet getting wet.
Their hands getting frostbite.
Their lips turning blue.

The snow fall this year will be cold.
Whining for food at your door.
Limping and shivering from the cold.
Why should they be treated like this?

The strays will try to do what they can to surive;
eating leftovers,
scrounging on the bins,
being swept away with a broom.

The snow fall this year will be cold.
You'll be at home,
getting warm by the fire,
opening gifts.

Your door is shut,
the curtains are drawn.
You have no clue what is going on outside,
in the cold cruel world.

Golden Wheat

Remember me when the South wind blow
Golden wheat, where the waves dance in row
Forget the emptiness and cold
Embrace love and the memories you hold

Remember me solemnly gazing for doe
Golden wheat, where waves dance in row
Entwined together on the greens we rolled
Embrace love and the memories you hold

Will you stay with me, as old we grow
Golden wheat, where the wave dance in row
Together we'll erase the world's toll
Embrace love and the memories you hold

South wind lover always know
Golden wheat, where waves dance in row
Bodies come together as if made in a mold
Embrace love and the memories you hold

My pledge to you from Heaven and below
Golden wheat, where waves dance in row
With my last breath our love will still unfold
Embrace love and the memories you hold

When we're gone I hope our descendants know
Golden Wheat, where waves dance in row
Feel the south wind, be it warm or cold
Embrace love and the memories you hold

My History Teacher

My ice cold blood
[you're not a warm-blooded creature]
Your ice cold stare
Is my HISTORY TEACHER

I sewed my heart up one little stich at a time
One shotty job done, it is true, but I
couldn't do it by myself, you coulda done the rest
But you went and ripped it right outta my chest

My ice cold blood
[you're not a warm-blooded creature]
Your ice cold stare
Is my HISTORY TEACHER

I wasn't even finished
I needed more thread
I got distracted by the
'Good' ideas you put in my head

My ice cold blood
[you're not a warm-blooded creature]
Your ice cold stare
Is my HISTORY TEACHER

You remind me of my delicate past
You remind me I'm good for nothing
You tell me that you love me[lies]
And remind me I wont be anything

My ice cold blood
[you're not a warm-blooded creature]
Your ice cold stare
Is my HISTORY TEACHER

You make me remeber what I've done
Because you make me remember I have no friends
You make me remeber It's all my fault
For making my happiness end

My ice cold blood
[you're not a warm-blooded creature]
Your ice cold stare
Is my HISTORY TEACHER

My ice cold blood
[you're not a warm-blooded creature]
Your ice cold stare
Is my HISTORY TEACHER

The Dancing Bumble Bee / Bumble Boogie

The Dancing Bumble Bee/
Bumble Bee Boogie
And when the hot winds blow tonight
The dancing bumble bee takes flight
And all the flowers in the field
Prepare their nectar soon to yield
Dance
Dance
Fly
Fly
Behold the dancing bumble bee
And as they gather 'round to see
His rhythm burns like a raging fire
In passion by that sweet desire
Dance
Dance
Fly
Fly
Dance
Dance with me here tonight
I'll make you warm and right
I'll make you warm tonight
Come dance
He danced until the morning came
Until the music's last refrain
And though he knew it soon would end
He only lived to dance again
Dance
Dance
Fly
Dance
Dance with me here tonight
I'll make you warm and right
I'll make you warm tonight
Come dance
Dance
Dance
Fly

June of the heart

When winter finds its impact
and binds itself
in your depths

the blossoms are past
and the glory of summer
are long gone.

When you look into the cold
dark depths
everything there
is empty and void.

At places rain falls
in the winter
that brings new life to the cold

but these tears
do not wash away the deeper pain
and nothing ever
repairs dead love,

l’Envoi
nothing can mend
a broken bond
like it once was,

still it’s sometimes rare
that love hibernates
and with spring
rise up again
with new power and glory.

[Reference: June discussed here as in the Southern hemisphere, where it’s wintertime.]

Warm Love

Look at the ivy on the cold clinging wall
Look at the flowers and the green grass so tall
Its not a matter of when push comes to shove
Its just an hour on the wings of a dove
I dig it when youre fancy dressed up in lace
I dig it when you have a smile on your face
This inspirations got to be on the flow
This invitations got to see it and know
Its just warm love
Its just warm love
And its everpresent everywhere
And its everpresent everywhere
That warm love
To the country Im going
Lay and laugh in the sun
You can bring, bring your guitar along
Well sing some songs, well have some fun
The sky is crying and its time to go home
And we shall hurry to the car from the foam
Sit by the fire and dry out our wet clothes
Its raining outside from the skies up above
Inside its warm love
Inside its warm love
And its everpresent everywhere
And its everpresent everywhere

Warm and Flowering

Why so cold?
This heart is warm.
My heart is warm I say.

I say, look at these flowers, all for you.
Flowers for me too.
It's my nature.

I want what the warm heart wants. I want you.
You want warmth too, don't you dear?
I want you to be warm,
and flowering.

If not, I'll still be warm.
And if life is cold, remember,
this heart is warm and flowering.

Warmth Again

Icy heart
Warm heart.
The icy-hearted person feels nothing,
The warm-hearted person feels too much.
And most of the time, that person doesn't want to feel anymore.

I've an ice-cold heart, but I'm warm-hearted.
Why do I feel so cold?
I'm fifteen years old, but I feel like an old lady.
Why do I feel so old?

Cold heart,
Old heart,
Why can't I feel warm again?
Cold heart,
Old heart,
Why can't someone warm me up again?

Fifteen.
Back problems, foot problems, heart problems and more!
Asthma problems, leg problems, chest pain galore!
Help me out of this wreck of a body, kind sir...
Help me out of this wreck of a body, kind
Sir!

I'm fifteen years old, but I feel like an old lady.
Why do I feel so old?

Cold heart,
Old heart,
Why can't I feel young again?
Cold heart,
Old heart,
Can you make me feel myself again?

Dear Great One, please help me
Down here on Earth, sitting here I wait
to feel like myself again.

I've an ice-cold heart, but I'm warm-hearted.
Why do I feel so cold?
I'm fifteen years old, but I feel like an old lady.
Why do I feel so old?

Cold heart,
Old heart,
Why can't I feel warm again?
Why can't I feel young again?
Cold heart,
Old heart,
Why can't someone warm me up again?
Can you make me myself again?

Maybe someday...I'll feel myself again.
