Tripping Billies
We were above
You standing underneath us
We were not yet lovers
Dragons were smoked
Bumblebees were stinging us
I was soon to be crazy
Eat, drink and be merry
For tomorrow we die
cause were tripping billies
Were wearing nothing
Nothing but out shadows
Shadows falling down on the beach sand
Remembering once,
Out on the beaches we wore
Pineapple grass bracelets
So why would you care
To get out of this place
You and me and all our freinds
Such a happy human race
cause were tripping billies
We are all sitting
Legs crossed round a fire
My yellow flame she dances
Tequila drinking oh our
Minds will wonder
To wonderous places
So why would you care
To get out of this place
You and me and all our friends
Such a happy human race
Eat, drink and be merry
For tomorrow we die

Crazy Circles
Life is like a merry go round painted horses riding up and down
Music takes you and you're gone again
Crazy circles never seem to end
Oh I will face the sun
Leavin shadows for behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah
Life is like a game of chance
Some find riches and some romance
Some find happiness and some find sorrow
Some find it today and some maybe tomorrow
Oh I will face the sun
Leavin shadows for behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah
Life is like a carousel you aim for heaven
And you wind up in hell
To all the world you're livin like a king
But you're just a puppet on a broken string
Oh I will face the sun
Leavin shadows for behind
And together we'll go on
Through time oh yeah
Life is like mm and the life is like mm
Crazy circles goin round and round
Crazy circles round and round and
One day you're up and the next day you're down
Life is like a merry go round

Hated Shadows
Happy people
with happy faces
Do happy things
in happy places
Little to worry
little to care
Never are sorry
never are there
Through the Viel they live
they cannot see
people around them
people like me
People Invisible
people Divisible
We are not important to happy people
we do not exist
broken shadows of broken people
Happines Glows
Shadows can not exist
With their happy lives
their happy husbands and happy wives
their happy bars
their happy cars
they shine brite
like stars
The shadows
look onto the light with envy
knowing they cannot co-exist
feel hopeless
lost
sedentary
singular
Hated.

My Brain
My brain is working overtime
I need something to ease my mind
'Cause as my thoughts go manic
I really start to panic
There's no place to hind behing
I'm freaking and hallucinating
Going last when I should wait
My parents think I'm crazy
But damn I'm going crazy
I can't help my mental state
Nooo
Oh, I might [he's tripping]
Take things out [and slipping]
Take these brains out of my way
I work into a frenzied fit
I bite the corners of my lip
I'm losing my [???]
My pants don't even fit right
Take away the the [???]
Give me something for my hair
A fresher pair of underwear
As if I was a no one
I am [???]
I just want it, I don't care
Nooo
Oh, I might [he's tripping]
Take things out [and slipping]
Take these brains out of my way
I tell the world to [???]
It's you who decides what sick or healthy
And all the people I see
That's making lots of Benji's
Make me want to [???] myslef
Start a brand new fashion trend
Those are for the deeper end

Merry-Go-Round
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Up in the sky.
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Soars me high!
Breeze rustles,
cloud's castles,
Roam round and round!
I shriek in false fear,
Seeing the thing near,
which I never have found.
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Brings the fun to me,
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Fills mind with glee!
Moving round, round,
Touching the ground,
Almost kisses the sky.
Merry-go-round, merry-go-round,
Takes me up in the high!

Chaos Rules for Friend Thad
The Dragoness last of her race.
Lies somnolent beneath the sun,
there will be none to take her place.
Remembering her youth long gone.
Three thousand years of life she’s seen.
The Dragons are a long lived race.
She can recall when there had been
a world of peace, a perfect place.
But upstart monkeys, protomen.
A warlike and fast breeding race
which quickly and grew again.
Usurped the Dragons living space.
They forced the Dragons to withdraw
from where they’d lived for centuries.
But still the men demanded more
of the fertile territories.
Though Dragons were more powerful.
By nature peaceably inclined
did not resist as usual
and this encouraged humankind.
To spread across each continent
and keep the Dragons in retreat.
Their numbers grew incontinent.
The Dragon race could not compete.
The Dragons rule brought to a close
The age of peace on earth was gone
simply because the dragons chose
not to resist.Should they have done?
That is the question in her mind
as she waits patiently to die.
The last survivor of her kind
She asks but she gets no reply.
The human race now rules supreme.
Rather a doubtful victory
A night mare fashioned from a dream
for man is mans worst enemy.

Fugue For The Fox
Call happy calling children are falling
In line to ride on the merry-go-round
People are passing children are laughing
They want to ride on the merry-go-round
Doesn't matter when you came
Every ride is just the same
Do not worry how it's done
There is room for everyone
Carousel turning children are yearning
To ride it forever and never come down
Little one's singing older one's clinging
Everyone riding the merry-go-round
Go round and round and up and down
Round and round they go always reaching for the ring of gold
Never knowing when the music's over they will be old
Call happy calling children are falling
In line to ride on the merry-go-round
People are passing children are laughing
They want to ride on the merry-go-round
Sometimes up and sometimes down
Don't let your feet ever touch the ground
Sometimes right and sometimes wrong
You'll end up where you belong
Sound of their laughter makes the ride faster
Soon the circus stand must come down
Music grows nowhere the ride is over
Say goodbye to the merry-go-round

Tomorrow Never Comes
(words & music by ernest tubb - johnny bond)
Oh you tell me that you love me
Yes you tell me that you care
That tomorrow well be married, oh
But tomorrows never there
Oh tomorrow never, never comes
Oh tomorrow never comes
Now you tell me that you love me, oh
But tomorrow never comes
Many weeks now have I waited
Oh many long nights have I cried
But just to see that happy morning, happy morning
When I have you right by my side
But tomorrow will never come, oh no, no
Tomorrow never gonna come
Now you tell me that you love me
But tomorrow never, never comes
So tomorrow Ill be leaving
Yes tomorrow Ill be gone
But tomorrow youll be weeping, oh
But tomorrow will never, never come
Well tomorrow will never, never come
Oh no, tomorrow aint never gonna come
Yeah, yeah, you tell me, you tell me
That you love me, but tomorrow never comes

The note of hope is the only note that can help us or save us from falling to the bottom of the heap of evolution, because, largely, about all a human being is, anyway, is just a hoping machine, a working machine, and any song that says, the pleasures I have seen in all of my trouble, are the things I never can get — don't worry — the human race will sing this way as long as there is a human to race. The human race is a pretty old place.

Happy Dog
I’m a happy dog at the beach
If I had the power of speech
I would tell you all
To throw my ball
I’m a happy dog at the beach
I’m a happy dog at the beach
There are no new tricks you can teach
I’m bouncy and glad
And my tail wags like mad
I’m a happy dog at the beach
I’m a happy dog at the beach
My joy is always in reach
Whatever the talk
It’s the best place to walk
I’m a happy dog at the beach
I’m a happy dog at the beach
As I hear the seagulls screech
I chase and I bark
Long into the dark
I’m a happy dog at the beach
I’m a happy dog at the beach
And I don’t want to start to preach
But if you ask me
The best thing to see
Is a happy dog at the beach

Have A Drink On Me
Whiskey, gin and brandy
With a glass Im pretty handy
Im trying to walk a straight line
On sour mash and cheap wine
So join me for a drink boys
Were gonna make a big noise
So dont worry about tomorrow
Take it today
Forget about the cheque
Well get hell to pay
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Yeah
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
On me
Come on
Dizzy, drunk and fightin
On tequila white lightnin
My glass is getting shorter
On whiskey, ice and water
So come on and have a good time
And get blinded out of your mind
So dont worry about tomorrow
Take it today
Forget about the cheque
Well get hell to pay
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
On me
Get stoned
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Yeah
Have a drink on me
Come on
Oooh
Gonna roll around
Gonna hit the ground
Take another swing
Have another drink
Gonna drink it dry
Gonna get me high
Come on all the boys
Make a noise
Chorus
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink on me
Have a drink oooooooon me

Pax Draconis
In days of old when dragons flew
amongst the clouds for all to see
They did not hide no reason to.
Men viewed them most respectfully.
They did no harm but culled the herds
of beasts too numerous to count.
No voice of protest to be heard,
the race of men of small account.
But men bred most prolifically.
Always their population grew.
The dragons lacked fertility
their numbers dwindled to a few.
Then man decided in his pride
to prove human supremacy.
It would be best if Dragons died.
The last few dragons forced to flee.
These Dragons hid themselves
away from man’s insensate cruelty
but swore that one day man would pay.
Rebuilt their numbers secretly.
The Dragons now are numerous.
Though disbelieved by modern man,
odd sightings seen as spurious.
Prepare themselves to rule again.
The U.F.O.s that some men see.
Not aliens from outer space
but Dragons flying fast and free.
New champions of the dragon race.
When they decide the time is right
they will erase the human race.
Take the revenge they feel is right
and once more take their rightful place.
As rulers of the earth and sky.
Mans handiwork will rot away.
With no man left to wonder why.
This was the price they had to pay.
The earth will be a place of peace
without mankind’s belligerence.
At last the endless wars will cease.
The dragon race have much more sense.
Though creatures will still kill to eat
As Mother Nature meant them to.
On equal terms they will compete.
When all the Dragons dreams come true.

Watching The Wheels
People say Im crazy, doing what Im doing.
Well, they give me all kinds of warning to save me from ruin.
When I say that Im okay,
Well, they look at me kind of strange,
Surely youre not happy now,
You no longer play the game.
People say Im lazy, dreaming my life away.
Well, they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me.
When I tell them that Im doing fine
Watching shadows on the wall,
Dont you miss the big time, boy,
Youre no longer on the ball.
Im just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll.
No longer riding on the merry go round,
I just had to let it go.
Ah, people asking questions, lost in confusion.
Well, I tell them theres no problem, only solutions.
Well, they shake their heads and look at me
As if I lost my mind.
I tell them theres no hurry,
Im just sitting here doing time.
Im just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll.
No longer riding on the merry go round,
I just had to let it go,
I just had to let it go,
I just had to let it go.

I Watch You Sleeping
This song appears on three albums, and was first released on the flower that shattered the stone album, and has also been released on the stonehaven sunrise and the john denver collection - take
Ome, country roads albums.
I watch you sleeping little angel face
And on behalf of the human race
Welcome to this crazy place
I watch you sleeping innocent and free
I dont know what your dreams may be
You dont know what you mean to me
You have never heard thunder
You have never seen the rain
But you can still feel the wonder
You can still feel the pain
And sometimes you look at me
So wise and so sure
I could easily believe you have been here before
I watch you sleeping little angel face
And on behalf of the human race
Welcome to this crazy place
I wont be here forever
But as long as Im around
I promise you I will never let you down
To help make a world you can feel worthy of
I will teach you to fly on the wings of my love
I watch you sleeping brave and unaware
You dont know yet so you dont care
I want you to know its hard out there
I watch you sleeping little angel face
And on behalf of the human race
Welcome to this crazy place
I watch you sleeping
I watch you sleeping
I watch you sleeping
I watch you sleeping
I watch you sleeping
I watch you sleeping

We Wish You A Merry Christmas
So we drive as fast as we can go
through the black night black ice and the snow
until we see the street signs and we know
we are coming home
Good tidings we bring
to you and your kin
Good tidings for Christmas
and a happy new year
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy new year
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy new year
And so when the words we sing are gone
Pray God's blessing continues on
and you laugh and compliment this
merry Christmas
Good tidings we bring
to you and your kin
Good tidings for Christmas
and a happy new year
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy new year
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
we wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy new year

Twilight Alehouse
1971. released as b-side of I know what I like single, 1974.
Is it really true what theyre saying
Are you really sure theres nobody come for me
When Im walking home there is no-one
Once there was a house, full of laughter - so warm
Trying to pretend there is someone
Someone who will care when I need it
I will now receive my comfort, conjured by the magic power of wine
Just a drink, Ill get that drink, and Im feeling good
Just a drink, Ill get that drink, and Im feeling fine
Just a drink to take my sorrow
Just a drink and you can blast tomorrow
Just a drink to make me feel like a man again
Now Im down
When I walk outside, there is nowhere
Children follow me, with their laughter - so cold...
Casting just a glance at the churchyard
Casting just a glance, at my painted female friend.
Now Im on my way, I am falling
Got to find some elp, ooh I will need that now
So I will receive my comfort, conjured by the magic power of wine
Just a drink, Ill get that drink, and Im feeling good
Just a drink, Ill get that drink, and Im feeling fine
Just a drink to take my sorrow
Just a drink and you can blast tomorrow
Just a drink to make me feel like a man again
Now Im down...
I will now receive my comfort, conjured by the magic power of wine
Just a drink, Ill get that drink, and Im feeling good

The Human Race Is Falling
the human race is falling
oh it is falling
too much lies
too much atrocities
too much propaganda
too much ignorant
why are you ignorant of the truth
oh the human race is falling
it is falling
there is no equity and justice
no free and fairness
there is no kindness
we need transparency
crying humanity
oh it is falling
too much suffering
instead of happiness
too much pain
it wickedness
instead of joy
it is shame
why not glory
feel sorry
we destroy one another
instead of helping each other
whiles i live
i saw oppression
i saw affliction
and i saw tyranny
too much hypocrisy
where is your love
oh it is falling
i saw men trying to be Superior
and powerful
but there was no savior
no one was merciful
oh the human race is falling
it is falling

Happy Christmas
(john lennon/yoko ono)
So this is christmas
And what have you done
Another year's over
New one's just begun
So this is christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young
A merry, merry christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
So this is christmas
For weak and for strong
The rich and the poor ones
The road is so long
So happy christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A merry, merry christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
A merry, merry christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over
War is over
War is over now
