Treasure for joy
Need two persons,
Mummy and daddy,
the result is me;
Need two persons,
My grandparents,
to take care of me;
Need two persons,
Child specialist and family physician,
to look after my health;
Need two persons,
My loving teachers,
to teach me manners;
Need two persons,
My sincere friends,
for play and pastime;
Time has come,
A good job has come,
A happy companion has come;
A beautiful wife to share my life,
We have two children, a girl and boy,
They are our treasure for joy.

A Decent Man
a decent man comes out
from a room: black shiny coat
red tie, a diamond pin, a white polo shirt
a well cut hair a la james bond
eyes covered with a reading glass
you get the impression that he is well-read
and trained to the gentleness of a well-bred
progeny, he is cool and calm and
always gives you the sense of
a deep listener
his wisdom flows from his
attentive eyes
keen and ponderous
you think he has no capacity for
sin or mischief
you feel that he is elevated from
the rest of us
but that is not exactly true.
one night, a cold air blows from
the sea and feels his room with
quivers. He has entertained thoughts
about the woman in Bahamas.
Or the girl from Ipanema.
He rings the phone asking for
the name of a woman. Cathy.
He needs a night. He is hot
as a cinder, as an iron rod
red as flame.
and then the woman comes
barely dressed and well scented
luscious lips and abundant bosom.
soft hair and sleepy eyes.
he opens the door and she closes it.
he asks her to undress and dance
before him. and they made love
in front of the mirror by the wall.
the man has assumed the shadow
of a mad dog as he makes
the push and pull until he is
through. At that moment the decent
man has become a mad dog just like
any mad dog with saliva flowing
along the streets of the slums.
for in truth, a decent man is as decent
only as he is dressed under the sun.
As soon as he gets naked inside his room,
this decent man faces the truth of his being.
in the secret of a moonlit night,
the shadow of the decent man
is just this dog, and nothing more.

There's nothing quite like tobacco: it's the passion of decent folk, and whoever lives without tobacco doesn't deserve to live.
We hear much of a decent pride, a becoming proud, a noble pride, a laudable pride. Can that be decent, of which we ought to be ashamed? Can that be becoming, of which God has set forth the deformity? Can that be noble which God resists and is determined to abase? Can that be laudable, which God call abominable.

Did They Tell You To Live Decently?
did they tell you to live decently
like gentlemen and ladies
societal models, sinless and spotless?
how easy for them
for they have the food and the accommodations
their houses and backyards
the smoke in their kitchens rising
to the skies
as offerings of the gods
the flavor of ham and roasted beef
and chiffon cakes
and salted bread
after they have taken all these things from you
deprived you of your inheritance
your birthright and your labors and your profession
after they have taken the rules away
and replaced them with their own
now they have all the hypocrisy to tell you
that you are not decent
and what about you? do you swear to be decent and
surrender the will that the gods have gifted you?

People
There are all sorts of people
that you come across in life
some are a joy to be around
others cause you misery and strife.
You know the sort and type
they want to bring you down
instead of making you smile
they leave you with a frown.
But then there are the happy one's
those that really make your day
they lift your spirits high
just with words and things they do and say.
Some people are odd and a bit strange
and their ways leave you scratching your head
while there are folk who take offence
just by something trivial that you said.
There are nasty vicious individuals
who only want to cause you grief
they pretend to be nice and friendly
but really want to kick you in the teeth.
People on the whole are decent folk
who only want to wish us all well
but sadly there are few on this earth
who want our lives to be a living Hell !

Schools of Talk
Decency is a place of the decent ones,
Talking in grandiose manners and unthinking talks.
Talking is aspect after aspect after aspect,
Telling and saying the stated factuality over it.
I am less yet more and more and also less,
Soil of turmoil and tumult I abstain to not mess.
Bravery is the key and virtue of all,
Bringing systems of delightful nature and call.

Decent Burial
Quietly I buried her,
It was only the last,
In life the burial was time and again.
Did she feel the banishment?
I never knew
She held it from me,
Just to keep alive the sunshine
To make it feel like a whole
Hiding the yawning hole
That makes bedmates
Strangers under one roof!
She played it to perfection,
Lovemaking was only a ploy,
She knew it was all game.
She did it for the children,
For me, for the family!
With her going to the soil
The banishment was complete.
She held life to be decent,
And got a decent burial!

The Law Is For Protection Of The People
Billy dalton staggered on the sidewalk
Someone said he stumbled and he fell
Six squad cars came screaming to the rescue
Hauled old billy dalton off to jail
cause the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see
We dont need no drunks like billy dalton
Scarin decent folks like you and me, no siree
Charlie watson wandered like a stranger
Showing he had no means of support
Police man took one look at his pants cuffs
Hustled charlie watson off to court.
cause the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see
We dont need no bums like charlie watson
Scarin decent folks like you and me, no siree.
Homer lee hunnicut was nothing but a hippy
Walking thru this world without a care
Then one day, six strapping brave policeman
Held down homer lee and cut his hair
cause the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any foola can see
We dont need no hairy headed hippies
Scarin decent folks like you and me, no siree
So thank your lucky stars youve got protection
Walk the line, and never mind the cost
And dont wonder who them lawmen was protecting
When they nailed the savior to the cross.
cause the law is for protection of the people
Rules are rules and any fool can see
We dont need no riddle speaking prophets
Scarin decent folks like you and me, no siree.

My Father's Words
Yesterday I finally understood
“Beauty like a tightened bow”
And as read “No Second Troy”
Things, though already clear,
Became even clearer still.
Not just because of Yeats’ words,
But by what my father earlier said.
He told me that life is full of obstacles,
That some surmount those obstacles and
Move on with their lives,
While others remain adrift at sea.
He demanded courage of me,
Courage equal to my desire be happy,
And to understand people are who they are
And will not be changed by me.
My decision must be base on the good as I see,
And not anyone or anything else but that good.
A tighten bow is always ready to be fired.
So Yeats’ beauty of the tightened bow is
Not a just a reference to her visage,
But her readiness to act while others remain still.
Still because their courage does not equal their desire.
My father said I am slow to act
Because I am, in his estimation, a decent and good man.
He said decent and good men quickly fall into a lover’s trap.
And oft times decent and good men are slow to act.
Not because their courage does equal their desire, he encouraged,
But because in overcoming the obstacle they don’t want to hurt anyone.
This is not possible in a storm tossed sea, he said to me.
You must act and do so quickly.
So I must act, and it has nothing to do with
Anyone but me and what is good and right.
The course is set and I will act.
I will not live a life set in misery.

Naked Before You
i pose naked for you
holding nothing not even a leaf a flower
you said it is for art
nude man as a piece of art
nude man as God's perfect gift to woman
i tilt my head i spread a leg i smile a bit
i imagine i am looking at the moon and the stars
all for art's sake
man as a piece of art
i have never done it once
never had it in my whole decent life
you asked me why i agree to stand naked before you
showing the shapely contours of a beautiful decent educated man
it is not for art's sake
to tell you the truth
it is because of you my artist woman
i love you
more that this art
for art's sake thing this human touch
i simply love you
and naked shall i not say it

The Severe Changes Being Made
How severe are the changes today being made?
Remember when people who committed crimes,
Were locked away and sent to prison?
One not equipped to provide those incarcerated,
With the best of technology.
Well...
Today,
People are committing crimes to be sent to prison,
To enable them to learn a trade to qualify...
For a decent job that pays higher wages.
And those attempting to live decent lives are penalized,
By paying higher taxes on lowered wages paid.
While those severe changes being made,
Are as clear for all to see...
To believe in.
