Everyman
Looking around nowhere to go
Looking high but youre feelin low
Ready or not you got to run when you can
Stealin time just like everyman
Oh oh wanna let you know
You cant hide you cant hide
Oh-oh wanna tell you so
Well you tried I think you lied
Everyman you get lonely
Saw you cryingjust the other day
Everyman its not your money
You and I get to feel this way
We can feel the rain
Were like everyman
Spend your time spend your money too
Spend your life if it gets you through
Look around see you everywhere
Stealin love well its just not fair
Oh oh wanna let you know
You cant hide you cant hide
Oh-oh wanna tell you so
Well you tried but I think you lied
Everyman you get lonely
Saw you crying just the other day
Everyman its not your money
You and I get to feel this way
We can feel the rain
Were like everyman
-solo-
Everyman you get lonely
Saw you crying just the other day
Everyman its not your money
You and I get to feel this way
We can feel the rain
Were like everyman
See you everywhere I go, looking high but youre feeling low

For Everyman
Everybody I talk to is ready to leave
With the light of the morning
Theyve seen the end coming down long enough to believe
That theyve heard their last warning
Standing alone
Each has his own ticket in his hand
And as the evening descends
I sit thinking bout everyman
Seems like Ive always been looking for some other place
To get it together
Where with a few of my friends I could give up the race
And maybe find something better
But all my fine dreams
Well though out schemes to gain the motherland
Have all eventually come down to waiting for everyman
Waiting here for everyman--
Make it on your own if you think you can
If you see somewhere to go I understand
Waiting here for everyman--
Dont ask me if hell show -- baby I dont know
Make it on your own if you think you can
Somewhere later on youll have to take a stand
Then youre going to need a hand
Everybodys just waiting to hear from the one
Who can give them the answers
And lead them back to that place in the warmth of the sun
Where sweet childhood still dances
Wholl come along
And hold out that strong and gentle fathers hand?
Long ago I heard someone say something bout everyman
Waiting here for everyman--
Make it on your own if you think you can
If you see somewhere to go I understand
Im not trying to tell you that Ive seen the plan
Turn and walk away if you think I am--
But dont think too badly of one whos left holding sand
Hes just another dreamer, dreaming bout everyman

Everyman
everyone's beating their war drums
everyone want's a blue
naybiddy wants responsibility
naybiddy want' te lose
everyone's a hero
everyone's so cool
naybiddy wants te sacrifice
naybiddy think's that their the fools
everyone's a winner
everyone special too
naybiddy wants te pay the price
naybiddy wants the pain o' truth
everyone's beating their wardrums
everyone want's a blue
everyones a hero
everyone's so cool
naybiddy wants responsibility
naybiddy wants te lose
naybiddy want's te pay the price
naybiddy want's te lose
everyman, everyman
everyman a fool
everyman, everyman
everyman me and you
everyone's beating their wardrums
everyone want's a blue
everyones a winner
yet everyone will lose

Dying womanhood
A woman clings to her husband,
Worthwhile or otherwise,
Repelling everyman who advances
And everyman she is drawn to
And dies with the fall of her husband,
With child bearing and the child rearing
in between,
with the fullest subordination.
Womanhood suffers from wifehood.

The Final Question!
what's it going to take
for you to see me?
for the world to hear my voice?
to put a name to my face?
for time, and redemption,
and a reason for being?
what's it going to take
for me to die like a man?
what's it going to take
for my life to have value,
for my body to be a bridge?
for my soul to give shelter,
my spirit to cut through chains?
what's it going to take?
baby, what's it going to take?
what's it going to take
for me to bring forgiveness?
for the words that i sing
to bring healing and hope?
for my name to be everyman?
and everyman my reason to be?
for this bridge to be walked on,
this shelter to stand the storm?
what's it going to take
for this spirit to be your wings,
for my life to be worth dying?
and my death to bring life?
what's it going to take?
baby, what's it going to take?

Time To Fight
We sat on the shores of another time
Laughed amidst the sighing tides
Realized that love stands for every man
Decided to love justice hand in hand
The city is a furnace of doubt and pain
They shipped out jobs for gold and gain
Our love is a struggle in this evil hour
We fight the men of greed and power
Baby, please tell me what love sings
Tell me what you really dream
I have heard the bells chime and ring
I want everyman to feel free
We stare at the fences of the gated city
They create the poor and say what a pity
Kiss me my darling and join the fight
This class warfare is a true plight
They bust the unions and tare us apart
So many cannot make a new start
Baby please let me feel your strong hand
Sing Woody Guthrie’s this land is your land
Baby, please tell me what love sings
Tell me what you really dream
I have heard the bells chime and ring
I want everyman to feel free
Fifty million with out health care
They ship out jobs and call it fair
Now the line is crossed and we must fight
There is a time for peace and a time to fight
Let your voice cry it is time to fight

Harvest For The World
Gather everyman, gather everywoman
Celebrate your lives, give thanks for your children
When will there be a harvest for all the people
When will there be a harvest for all the world
Harvest For The World
All babies together, everyone a seed
Half of us are satisfied, half of us in need
Love's bountiful in us, tarnished by our greed
When will there be a harvest for the world
A nation planted, so concerned with gain
As the seasons come and go, greater grows the pain
And far too many feelin' the strain
When will there be a harvest for the world
Gather everyman, gather everywoman
Celebrate your lives, give thanks for your children
Gather everyone, gather all together
Overlooking none, hopin' life gets better for the world
Dress me up for battle, when all I want is peace
Those of us who pay the price, come home with the least
Nation after nation, turning into beast
When will there be a harvest for the world

It's more fun having him as everyman in the 25th Century. It is better to concentrate on what this planet will be like 500 years from now, and not be dealing with little aliens in space and all that related stuff.

Peace
You can kick
a stone lion
as often as you like.
Though it will hurt
your foot,
you can never
persuade it
to bite you.
Everyman
his own prison makes
and keeps his peace
at bay.

To Thy Self be True
Loving thoughts live forever
Customize your mind
Centered in symmetric joy
The moon lights the temple
Love is in every night sky
No one is better or worse
Everyman is Christ
Everyman is whom he died for
Pettiness is garbage
Every candle goes out
All this pride on top of dust
We occupy ourselves with triteness
With little tragic games
I am the guiltiest
It is so easy to try to be accepted
Pointing fingers does nothing
Changing others is not my job
Dealing with myself is my job
Dealing with others is Gods buisness
Serene Bach plays in the background
Man he was a giant
He sure thought some sweet thoughts
Social incest gobbles people up
Thinking other peoples thoughts
People pleasing, kissing ass
Clicks are not love
I see allot of my art is sham
Here and there something real gets out
I love Gods creation
When I reflect that something true happens
Grudges and proving points only diminishes
Wasting time putting things in categories
Thinking the mundane
Writing profound is totally individual
Like Emily Dickinson
Her poetry was seen after her death
She didn't write to be popular
Real art is never before the crowd
To thy self be true is harder than you think

Everyman’s Rose
Everyman has a rose
on a thorny bush,
a rose whose prickles
keeps us alive.
We are tempted
but we cannot touch
this rose that eludes
our heart so much.

Treasure
The man who is not a tresspasser
Should go out
And nobody is going out
No body is a tresspasser.
Here no body is to break
Here nothing to steal
Here neither moth nor rust destroys
And everyman is a treasure.
