The process of learning requires not only hearing and applying but also forgetting and then remembering again.
Concerning culture as a process, one would say that it means learning a great many things and then forgetting them; and the forgetting is as necessary as the learning.

Diligent as one must be in learning, one must be as diligent in forgetting; otherwise the process is one of pedantry, not culture.

A Wisdom Patiently Achieved
Looking at them,
Anyone would perceive them to be...
Adults.
But listening to their conversations...
And hearing from them speak,
An overwhelming immaturity...
Immediately those mature,
Would detect a childishness limiting...
Their ability to be accountable.
Or any seriousness taken of responsibilities.
And flaunt they do,
Their children conceived.
With few of them understanding their parental deeds.
Leaving themselves and their communities,
Lacking in comprehension...
Of a discipline and what it takes,
To succeed.
With an applying of experience,
And a combination of mistakes made...
That requires a wisdom patiently achieved.

Many Ignore This Process To Forget
Not only are there differences in ages.
There are differences in experiences.
And those differences experienced...
Should be accepted to digest,
To progress one's comprehension.
But the similarities in not paying attention...
To comprehend with intention,
Between ages mentioned...
To insist one has a more indepth awareness,
Is often a sharing done that should be dismissed.
A learning done is a process one wins,
With a knowing of it won.
And many ignore this process to forget,
How and where an experience wishing to share...
Had been obtained to get.
And...
Remembering from 'whom' and when,
They received a message that began to deliver them...
To a wisdom.

Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.

Just as modern mass production requires the standardization of commodities, so the social process requires standardization of man, and this standardization is called equality.

In Substitute of Meat
What process is this,
If it is not a learning one?
What process is this,
If comprehension isn't done?
Wasted sagas are meaningless,
And shallow.
Do nothing there to uplift.
Although,
A purpose to keep mentalities narrow...
And quite hollow does succeed.
What process is this,
If it is not a learning one?
What process is this,
If comprehension isn't done?
And what purpose is served,
By keeping minds fed dessert...
In substitute of meat.
We already witness the disadvantages,
Of too much sugar and spice.
Leaving sweetened appetites in our streets,
Without substance to nourish!
With all taxes increased.
'Meat?
I thought you were vegetarian? '
Meat for the mind,
Fool!
'I'll have you know,
I am a qualified imbecile...
Thank you!
Any references declaring me to be a fool,
I find appalling and offensive.'
There is 'something' about that to be admired.
Perhaps that's why it captivates.
And nothing about your situation advances.
It's soooo...
Impressively expressive.
And excuses an accepted abuse!

An Uneasy Measure
Time
the uneasy measure
we lay upon unfettered infinity
forgetting
we run innocently
through lily beds and grape arbors
across the millstream to the creek
and the bending grasses of the untamed orchard
forgetting
that Time is measured
not so much by dark and light
as by the relentless beat of Shiva's drum
the uncounted and unaccountable beating
of our hearts
and Time too
forced to exist
forgets
runs heedlessly beside us
hiding in plain sight
remembering
poses the bewildering question
Who owns Time?
If it is so
and I believe it is so
that we remain responsible
for what we create
what then is our obligation toward Time?
remembering
locates us in two worlds
How may we stand sturdily in both?

I Keep Forgettin'
I keep forgetting you don't love me no more
I keep forgetting you don't want me no more
I keep forgetting that you told me that you
Didn't want me around any more
But these stupid old feet
Just head for your street
Like they've done so many times before
And this stuborn old fist
On the end of my wrist
Keeps a knocking on your front door
I keep forgetting you don't love me no more
I keep forgetting you don't want me no more
I keep forgetting bout those heartbreaking nights
And those heartbreaking things
That you said
Though I know in my heart
We're drifting apart
I can't believe that our love is dead
Though it's plain as can be
That you're finished with me
I just can't get it through my head
Keep forgetting you don't love me no more
Keep forgetting you don't want me no more
Though I know in my heart
We're drifting apart
I can't believe that our love is dead
Though it's plain as can be
That you're finished with me
I just can't get it through my head
Keep forgetting you don't love me no more
Keep forgetting you don't want me no more
Keep forgetting you don't want me no more
Keep forgetting you don't want me no more
Keep forgetting you don't want me no more

To Walk
To walk is an action from the head,
It requires patience and easygoingness,
Offered by easiness,
Instilling calmness to the head, beauty to the brain,
A charm is brave as the system is strong,
We fight along side the pressing people,
Racing onwards is a goal too stupendous;
Instead of feeling fire the legs can carry,
And more than one person works this way,
Fortunately, the pressure is greater on the return
To bedazzle the mind with success.
We see a reminder to the soul,
That to walk requires a patient pair of legs,
One of us is in the process of walking
Yet defeat looms when in this process.

Learning
I'm learning to say thank you.
And I'm learning to say please.
And I'm learning to use Kleenex,
Not my sweater, when I sneeze.
And I'm learning not to dribble.
And I'm learning not to slurp.
And I'm learning (though it sometimes really hurts me)
Not to burp.
And I'm learning to chew softer
When I eat corn on the cob.
And I'm learning that it's much
Much easier to be a slob.

Future Selected
A memory or two
Returning...reappearing
Surprisingly entering our hearts again
Not the same...always rearranged
Haunting and intriguing
Living and dying
Pushing and pulling
Remembering togetherness
Moments of shared hearts
In the midst of isolation
Remembering that we were
Not alone
No longer applying
Such long forgotten
Traces of feeling and thought
Never again will our lives
Be as they were
A future uncertain...
With unknown duration
Past reflected as if present
Selecting each moment
Wondering...searching for meaning
Past changing...as the future
Takes hold of us

Remembering
Remember those golden days
We used to walk hand in hand
I was your friend, your fool, your lover
I was your man
I can see you then
Smiling, looking straight at me
You caught me unawares, I blushed
Lets sit beneath this tree
I cant get over the change in you
I cant get over the change in me
And I keep on remembering the old days
I keep on remembering the old ways
I can recall you running to a sweet shop
You stopped
Bought me something
And you handed it to me
You were my girlfriend then
The first that I ever had
The first that I ever kissed
And the first to make me sad
I cant get over the change in you
I cant get over the change in me
I keep on remembering the old days
I keep on remembering the old ways
Oh yeah
I keep on remembering
I keep on remembering
Oh yeah
I keep on remembering the old days
I keep on remembering
Your pretty dress
With the zip up the back
I used to love you like that
I used to love you like that
Oh yeah
I keep on remembering
I keep on remembering all about you

When Escalations Of Misdeeds Increase
A process of selective hearing,
Eliminates active listening...
With a comprehension done.
We all have been guilty,
Of hearing what we choose to hear.
Only to misunderstand with attitude to gain.
And when an attitude obtained is gained,
What remains is conflict to offer.
As if a victory will be achieved.
When escalations of misdeeds increase,
There is little evidence that peace will be left...
To be kept respected.
A process of selective hearing,
Eliminates active listening...
With a comprehension done.
When escalations of misdeeds increase,
There is little evidence that peace will be left...
To be kept respected.
That is not the goal,
When an ego has been unleashed...
From its confines of common sense.

Learning to love again
Learning to love again
~
It is with a still fear I proceed
Learning to love again
I keep hearing little thoughts
Saying I have been here before
Full of the joy and happiness
Before it all came to an end
Filling me with a diseased sadness
That poisoned my mind
How could this be any different
Have I learnt from my past
Should I show full faith and trust
In what each tomorrow will bring
I’m learning to do just that
In spite of those thoughts
I’m a storm of contradictions
Ambition blinds fear
And fear keeps reminding
Of the love I have and have lost
Each one echoes in stillness
Though I continue onwards
Learning to love again
