George Topîrceanu

Memory [Amintire]

I stood to listen for a while
What was that long, deep clutter?...
Wind shook the water off the boughs
And drops fell in the gutter.

My footsteps rustled through the leaves
A pleasant noise creating,
And I was trembling in the night
Worn out of so much waiting.

The gloomy woods were on the left
And in the garden, sparkling,
Between two poplars, near the house,
Was waiting my sweet darling.

And I remember very well
We whispered full of passion
When in the night, a distant bird,
Screeched in a scary fashion.

While I was listening, it appeared
That somewhere in the darkness,
The trees were plotting to abduct
My sweetheart, to harass us.

Then like a fool I kissed her cheeks
My passion did not slacken,
As if I knew deep in my heart
An evil thing would happen...

When morning came and had to go
The roosters sang like crazy,
And all the clouds born in the east
Seemed fiery and hazy.

Now, I'm alone... it's getting late...
She's far, I feel the fire,
My days are dead, my soul is full
Of longing and desire...

So Deep Within You

Talk to me baby, I want to sleep at night.
My heart is heavy, its weighed down by the night.
And now Im lonely, I want to see the light
So deep within you.
Cool wind is blowing through your crazy hair.
Warm colours flowing, this feeling we have shared.
And now Im lonely I want to feel the love
So deep within you.
Your loves a never ending dream,
A castle by a stream of sweet understanding.
I know youre thinking of me too, the messages
From you are my inspiration.
Loves incense lingers, it never fades away.
Like you Im waiting for our special day.
And now Im lonely I want to feel the love
So deep within you
My love is burning, like a forest fire.
My heart is yearning, I feel a warm desire.
And now Im lonely I want to tough the fire
So deep within you.

I Will Listen

I will listen closely to your heart
From dawn to sunset I will hear
When the stars shine I will listen
At night I shall hear your dreams

Hear the sea with its mystery
Read the poetry of glory
Spring brings lovely song birds
Wind blows through joyful trees

We listen to nature, why not the heart?
Your sweet garden is filled with flowers
In the gentle morning I will hear you
Together we paint a portrait of passion

The moon shines in your desire
When your lonely clouds cover
I will hold you beyond words
Your smile is a gift of praise

I will listen to your gentle whispers
The touch of your smooth skin
The beauty of your summer eyes
Darling, I will listen with my last breath

Lost In The Memory of You

There were days so long ago
That time stood still
Truth came to be known
A passion from within
Lost in the memory of you

Kindness ruled the day
Laughter all around
Silence was stirring deep
The heart full of love
Lost in the memory of you

Sadness consumed the soul
For tomorrow would never come
Longing to be near
Yet distant and apart
Lost in the memory of you

Light of love burns deep inside me

Light of love burns
deep inside me
Neither seen or felt by
any one besides me
Fire never dies
Rapidly increases as day passes
Loneliness makes me shiver
Night haunts me
Darkness ignites the desire in me
Her memories fuels the light in me
I remember her smile
Eyes explore her in the darkness
through out the night
She does not arrive
the morning sun rises
devoid of any light for me
I am still groping in the darkness
around me
Light deep inside increases
with passing of time
I keep waiting and waiting
For her to be on my side

Untold Story

.cold of night sti flushing deep around me
keep me silence in untold hopes
.ur laugh and tease become death wall this time
.many times left behind
so many missing days
loves n hopes become foreign cloud at the sky
long journey become sad story
craps from mouth is the way to journey
laying and scaried in the midde rooms of hopes
deep dropp eyes still staring at me
feed of hatred is growing on my heart
how long suppose to be beging?
how long i could wait
.how deep this passion kept in big lie
.its a long journey
.its still in the morning
but there is no sunshine in my waiting days

Night of Nights

‘Twas deep; so deep of night,
When I saw what I had seen -
So truly deep of night,
When I went where I had been,
And really deep of night,
When I heard what I had heard:
Perhaps a fox or badger,
Or a sort of night-time bird.

‘Twas late that night of nights,
When something there was there -
So very late that night of nights,
Where that thing was where -
'Twas deep of night of nights,
When it ran to where it ran:
Perhaps a stoat or Billy goat,
Or ghostly little man.

‘Twas in the night of night of nights,
When something scary caused a scare -
So late of night of night of nights,
When something hairy raised my hair -
The deep of night of night of nights…
So don't you wonder what it was?
Well I never really truly saw it -
Why? Because because!

‘Twas in the night of night of night of nights
Oh I've had enough!
Night night.

The Dawn Wind

The Fifteenth Century

At two o'clock in the morning, if you open your window and
listen,
You will hear the feet of the Wind that is going to call the sun.
And the trees in the shadow rustle, and the trees in the moonlight
glisten,
And though it is deep, dark night, you feel that the night is
done.

So do the cows in the field. They graze for an hour and lie down,
Dozing and chewing the cud; or a bird in the ivy wakes,
Chirrups one note and is still, and the restless Wind stares on,
Fidgeting far down the road, till, softly, the darkness breaks.

Back comes the Wind full strength with a blow like an angel's
wing,
Gentle but waking the world, as he shouts: "The Sun! The
Sun!"
And the light floods over the fields and the birds begin to sing,
And the Wind dies down in the grass. It is day and his work
is done.

So when the world is asleep, and there seems no hope of her
waking
Out of some long, bad dream that makes her mutter and moan,
Suddenly, all men arise to the noise of fetters breaking,
And every one smiles at his neighbor and tells him his soul is
his own!

Thats The Day

There are burdens that I carry every day,
Sometimes they want to make me cry.
Hopeless feelings harbored deep inside my heart,
And I find it hard to hold my head up high.
In the middle of the darkness in my life,
I find the strength to carry on.
I am holding to a promise jesus made,
And I know it wont be long till well be gone.
In a while, well be gone,
And we wont have to cry anymore, no,
All our sorrows left behind,
And thats the day that I am waiting for.
And thats the day that I am longing for.
Oh....
If you feel there is no meaning in your life.
And it seems youve lost your way.
Listen closely to the voice thats deep inside,
And remember what the savior has to say.
In a while, well be gone,
And we wont have to cry anymore, no,
All our sorrows left behind,
And thats the day that I am waiting for.
And thats the day that I am longing for.
And thats the day that I am looking for.
Oh....
Da, da da, da da, da da, da da, da da....
Da, da da, da da, da da....

All My Life

Is it the way that you feel when Im kissing on you
Or is it the soul I can see in your eyes
The clothes that you wear or the smell of your hair
Or is it the way I cant sleep when youre not there
All my life, Ive been waiting for you
All my life, Ive been waiting for you
Is it the way that you feel deep inside
Or is it the way that I feel so alive
Your star and your flair are beyond compare
Or is it the way that we feel when were on fire
All my life, Ive been waiting for you
All my life, oh i, Ive been waiting for you
Every night, oh Ive been waiting for you
All my life, Ive been waiting for you

Be a part of me

as the fish swims into the sea and find its way to
feed and happy, the water Lilies breathe in the dirty
pond to grow into a beautiful flower, of where the
bird wants to sip its sweet drops of crystal water
gland

as the wind blew, thrown into the big ocean and the
clouds swings beneath the golden sun; the wave
roll on to the dazzling seashore, waiting each
pebbles to dance in the sand; rumble, sizzling,
goggling under the hot sunny day

as the perfume smell in every corner of your
body, the door that open makes my day complete,
the food that taste so sweet leaves every memories
of who you would be in the heart that is free, your
the passion that hovers in my knee, you’re the star in
every night in the sky I see, for everything my dear
you believe in me, you’re the one I always die with
thee

now the roses have fully grown in the garden its
residue and the flower bloom so beautiful, as you
can touch and smell as you catch, believe that I am
always in the end waiting for you in every command
I remain so true, wonder you bring me through, as I
love you, for you’re always be part of me in
everything I will be, my true and dear
WIFE......I love you

Waiting

Waiting

Sparkling ripples on the water
blessed by the morning sun.
The little birds that fly
through the freeways of the sky
as I stand here waiting
for my love to come.

I have waited for so long
My tears are now dried
The sun has now sets in the east
Rainbows falling at my feet
waiting for my love to come

Our home is cold
The trees are bare
The wind has gone in rage
Not a shadow, nor single footstep
i am waiting

Non Sum Qualis Eram Bonae Sub Regno Cynarae

Last night, ah, yesternight, betwixt her lips and mine
There fell thy shadow, Cynara! thy breath was shed
Upon my soul between the kisses and the wine;
And I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
Yea, I was desolate and bowed my head:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.

All night upon mine heart I felt her warm heart beat,
Night-long within mine arms in love and sleep she lay;
Surely the kisses of her bought red mouth were sweet;
But I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
When I awoke and found the dawn was gray:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.

I have forgot much, Cynara! gone with the wind,
Flung roses, roses riotously with the throng,
Dancing, to put thy pale, lost lilies out of mind;
But I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
Yea, all the time, because the dance was long:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.

I cried for madder music and for stronger wine,
But when the feast is finished and the lamps expire,
Then falls thy shadow, Cynara! the night is thine;
And I am desolate and sick of an old passion,
Yea, hungry for the lips of my desire:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.

Inside your Soul

Inside your Soul

Passion is always in fashion
Desire is a fire
Inside your soul
Need is something we feed
With hope in our heart, we just know
Want isn’t
Meant to taunt or flaunt
Uncontrollable desire is the fire
Inside your soul
Remember Passion is
Forever in fashion
And fire burns

I Cant Sleep Without You Here

I cant sleep.
Without you here, I just cant sleep.
Its 3AM
And I’m awake again.
Through open eyes, I sing my lonely song, To the silver moonlight.
I am consumed by the lonely darkness, Of the night.
I cant sleep-
Because you seem so far away from me.
I cant sleep-
Because without you, By my side, I feel so lonely.

When I dream- I dream of our love’s delight-
Only to awake, Without you, By my side.

I’m stuck between longing and desire-
As in the darkness, Within my heart burns passions fire.
Without you here, Next to me, It just doesn’t feel right.
In the darkness, You’re my light!

Within my heart burns an unquenchable fire!
There’s so much more
Which I long for
And desire!

And I grow weary of the compromises, We have to make-
But we can both relate.

I cant sleep-
Because you seem so far away from me.
I cant sleep-
Because without you, By my side, I feel so lonely.
Every night without you- I cant help but want to reach out for
More!

Inside my heart-
You’re leaving a road map of all the places we’ve been.
Inside my heart-
Your love has burnt its mark so deep within.
And there’s so much more
For us to long for
And desire!
Within my heart burns passion’s fire!

I cant sleep-
Because you seem so far away from me.
I cant sleep-
Because without you, By my side, I feel so lonely.

I’m weary of the compromises, We have to make-
But you and I can both relate.

Each and every night, I cant help but want to reach out for
More!
And I cant sleep.
Without you here, I just cant sleep.

Nocturne

Shivering leaves and starry sky,
my love has left while here I sigh
with broken heart, and wave good-bye!

Oh breezes, swirl about his head,
Oh Nightingale, sing by his bed
and whisper gently I am dead!

From first night I saw him come,
my soul was his, and, stricken dumb,
laid pride aside as of no sum!

My eyes spoke volumes, I’ll admit,
I clung to him - things shook a bit, -
upon my hair his kiss was writ!

I shook, emotions all awry!
I know no longer how nor why
my lover he became, I sigh!

I knew him not, yet no protest
I uttered, took him to my breast
When in my rooms his love confessed!

I said to him, ‘Thy love I’ll take
while love it stays’- make no mistake,
none else my dreams so deep could slake.

His passion, though, no tardy guest
turned out to be, he left, his quest
led Lord know’s where, - I have not guessed!

I will now separated from my friend,
between the lily-pads descend
let life beneath the ripples end!

With words of willow, water, weeds,
I’ll plight my pain, - each hern that heeds
will know ‘tis I who spreads the reeds.

While waiting, to the breeze I’ll rhyme
his name, and dreaming-bells shall chime
I waited once upon a time!

As if in golden grave-cloth gowned,
untidy tresses spread around
me while I’m water-logged and bound.

Joys cast will cast their light and lie
around my head, harsh Time defy.
Green logs wound round my legs nearby.

A trembling deep within my breast
will make me feel I am caressed
by he who, lost, was loved the best.

Let my last breath, as perfume pressed,
be born upon sweet Spring breeze blest
by love’s soft sighs, then laid to rest -

And like a magic butterfly
drawn to May’s roses, swiftly fly
to kiss my Love’s lips as I die!

Were YOU?

Were you waiting?
Last night?

For my arms to hold you?
For my tongue to engage you?
Stroking your longing neck...
With passions insane licks...

Were you waiting?
Last night?

For my bosoms full extent...
Pressed up against your longing body?
Raising the tingle from ever so slight...
To a driven vibration...?

Were you waiting?
Last night?
To appease your appetite?
Your unsated hunger?
That lingers between your thighs?
That has been left standing at command?

Last night...
Were you waiting?
For me...?

For you...?

For we...?

A wishful touch...

A wishful touch, soft and tender.
Then a whisper, full of desire
A sudden gasp of sweet surrender
As passion fuels the fire

No words spoken between them
No promises to be kept
No lies being told tonight
No looking back - no regret

Longing to hold each other
Such precious little time
Both vowed to another
Being lonely their only crime

The softness of your lips, whole
As they slide over mine
Taste like honey to my soul
As they take me back in time

Oh, the fire of your touch
Like hot silk on your tender breasts
The passion I crave so much
As I taste the nectar of your kiss

A Slowly drumming melody in my heart
Your skin like a river of light
My moan of pleasure as you start
Ecstasy I'd never fight

A lovers tune dances up my spine
As the shadow of my embrace
Slides across your thighs
Ohhh sooo slowly the pace

Our hearts mingled in rapture
The torture of passion so sweet
The affection of a thousand years
As at least we meet

Tomorrow maybe bringing sorrow
A brief moment of shame
With the memory of this one night
A release from passion's flames.

With blazing, electric blue thunder

(after Pablo Neruda)

With blazing, electric blue thunder
the morning is alive in this summer.

The wind tosses the threatening clouds like washing
torn from the line, waving goodbye without hands.

The mouthless harsh voice of the wind
howls right through our blissful silence.

Thunder bolts rock exploding in bright white light
while the wind rips leaves, branches and trees

as if in remembrance of long gone battles and wars
while it tosses squalls of pattering buckets of rain

sounding like the roar of a havoc orchestra
from the very gates of destruction, right from hell

while big oak trees sway as if only twigs,
some topple torn right out from their roots

and against me storm tossed in passion you are laying,
coming weightless full of fiery blazing desire,

with tender sweet lips that are kissing bringing bliss
and outside the wind roars as if its power is endless.
