Don’t be cheap

Don’t let others make you cheap.
To be greedy is to be cheap.
To be selfish is to be cheap.

The Value Of Innocence
I ONCE HAD A MOST VALUABLE POSSESION,
MORE VALUABLE THAN GOLD AND SILVER,
MORE VALUABLE THAN DIAMONDS AND RUBBIES,
YEA, EVEN MORE VALUABLE THAN BRIMSTONE,
NOW I LIVE WITHOUT MY MOST CHERISHED POSSESION,
YEA, NOW I LIVE WITHOUT MY INNOCENCE!
YEA, I HAVE LOST MY IGNORANCE!
NOW, ALL I HAVE IS WISDOM, AND KNOWLEDGE,
CLOTHED WITH COAL AND LORBS,
YET, MY MOST VALUED POSSESION WAS MY INNOCENCE AND IGNORANCE,
YEA, IT WAS INDEED MORE VALUABLE THAN ALL THE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE WORLD!

Golden Friendship
friends come
and friends go
some say
new friends
are silver
old friends
are gold
i say this is true
new friends
more precious
than silver
old friends
more valuable
than gold
a true friend comes
and never goes
friends are one
of many of
God's gifts
to all his children

What that book does for me is give me the tools in the same way that I had the tools when I learned the regular scales or the alphabet. If you give me the tools, the syntax, and the grammar, it still doesn't tell me how to write Ulysses.

An apprentice carpenter may want only a hammer and saw, but a master craftsman employs many precision tools. Computer programming likewise requires sophisticated tools to cope with the complexity of real applications, and only practice with these tools will build skill in their use.

Victory be theirs
The tar in the streets more valuable than the soil on which they sleep
The tag on my shirt more valuable than their bed positioned in dirt
The crown on my head more valuable than seeing them dead
The victory of our team
The goals for which we dream
The bank account
The dance about
The car we drive
The randela for which we thrive
Our comfort
Our pleasure
Every accomplished treasure
More than
the breath they breathe
the water they drink
the food they eat
and the thought they speak
Victory be theirs

Friends
Now you got to have friends
You know the fellings all so strong
You got to have friends
To make that day last long
I have me some friends but now there gone
Somethink came and took them away
And from the dusk until the dawn
Here is where I'm goin to stay
Hey well I'll stand right here at the end of the road
And I'll wate for the new friends to come
I don't care it I'm hungre or cold
I got to get me some
Talkin about friends
Miles and miles and miles of friends
Lot and lots and lots of friends
You got to have friends
Talkin about friends
Hey do you know what I mean
Everybodys has got to have friends
You got to have friends
And some friends but there gone gone
Something came and took 'em away
And from the dusk til the dawn
Here ,here is where I'll stay
And I'm standing at the end of a long, long road
And I'm wateing for my new friends to come
I don't care if I'm hungre or frezzing cold
I got to get me some of them
Talking about friends
You got to have friends
You know you get yours
I'll get mine

Talkin bout friends
Miles and miles and miles of friends
Lots and lots and lots of friends
You got to have friends

Over Use
A quote goes cheap if over used.
A queen goes cheap if over seen.
A guest goes cheap if overstayed.
Otherwise also they’ll expire stale

Wouldn't You Like To Ride
[Intro (Kanye West)]
You like to ride... (uh)
(So "why don't) you and your friends (get with) me and my friends"
"(My friends) my friends, my friends, my friends"
Would you like to ride?
(I don't know what happened, it's just like, heh)
"So why don't you and your friends get with me and my friends"
"My friends, my friends, my friends, my friends"
[Kanye West]
I had that little ass Nissan at your crib showin' up
Liquor store out of Arbor Mist, we Irish Rosed it up
Then we rolled to the movies, you rocked your fake Chloes
You had Gap and Gucci, that's still two G's
But that's that last year purse like it's still too cheap
Ooh you so boozy boo you could of fooled me
Cuz five years ago you was so Fugees
Now you don't want nothin' unless it cost a few G's
You like the light-skinned Ania, the dark-skinned Aaliyah
The black Jennifer Lopez, a ghetto senorita
You remind me of my Jeep but not no Kia
We can talk on your cell, but not Nokia
It be goin' in and out, that's why I barely hear ya
It be goin' in and out like a robbery ah
I'm tryin' to take this money like Robin Geeda
Then I'ma take you to the house like Trick and Trina
[Hook]
Would you like to ride shotgun in the Escalade
"So why don't you and your friends get with me and my friends"
"My friends, my friends, my friends, my friends"
Like a cloud in our sky, grab your things let's fly away
"So why don't you and your friends get with me and my friends"
"My friends, my friends, my friends, my friends"

The Most Valuable
Which is the most valuable?

Nothing is the most valuable
That man is willingly possesses.

Family And Friends
We all have a cherished garden we tend -
It is planted with love of family and friends.
The memories and dreams we treasure and share
Are like beautiful roses found blooming there.
The comfort and care on which we depend
Is given with love between family and friends.
The sunshine of laughter and rain of a tear
Only make our love grow with each passing year.
We may all be ourselves with no need to pretend
Because of the love of family and friends;
They notice the rainbows and weather the showers.
They overlook weeds and praise all our flowers.
The most valuable thing is the time that we spend
Tending this garden with family and friends.
When counting our blessings, we know from the start
That family and friends come first in our heart.

To me this movie is about what is valuable. To one person it might be a stone; to someone else, a story in a magazine; to another, it is a child. The juxtaposition of one man obsessed with finding a valuable diamond with another man risking his life to find his son is the beating heart of this film.

Family means too much, Friends are too valuable, And life is too short, To put-off sharing with people, How much they really mean to you, And pursuing whatever it is that makes you happy.
