Leave Virginia Alone
Well I've Seen her
Down the alley
And over the hill
To steel her away
She was as hot as
Georgia asphalt
When the aircraft came
To adore her brain
So leave Virginia alone
Leave Virginia alone
She's not like you
And me
She's not like you
And me
You should've seen her
Back in the city
Poetry and jewels
Broke all the rules
She was as high as
A Georgia palm tree
*So Leave Virginia alone
Leave Virginia alone
She's not like you
And me
She's not like you
And me
Some sunny day
When the h... of times have
Gone farewell
You'll understand
Why it was so hard
To run away
To run away
She's a loser
She's a forgiver
She still finds good
When no one could
You want her
More than money
Cadillac can rust
Diamond and dust
(*Repeat)
Ah, yeah
Leave Virginia alone
Leave Virginia alone
She's not like you
And me
She's not like you
And me
Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah ,...
La, la, la, leave her alone
Oh, Virginia
Oh, Virginia
Leave her alone

The Daft Days
The midnight hour is clinking, lads,
An' the douce an' the decent are winking, lads;
Sae I tell ye again,
Be't weel or ill ta'en,
It's time ye were quatting your drinking, lads.
Gae ben, 'an mind your gauntry, Kate,
Gi'es mair o' your beer, an' less bantry, Kate,
For we vow, whaur we sit,
That afore we shall flit,
We'se be better acquaint wi' your pantry, Kate.
The "daft days" are but beginning, Kate,
An we're sworn. Would you hae us a sinning, Kate?
By our faith an' our houp,
We will stick by the stoup
As lang as the barrel keeps rinning, Kate.
Thro' hay, an' thro' hairst, sair we toil it, Kate,
Thro' Simmer, an' Winter, we moil it, Kate;
Sae ye ken, whan the wheel
Is beginning to squeal,
It's time for to grease an' to oil it, Kate.
Sae draw us anither drappy, Kate,
An' gie us a cake to our cappy, Kate;
For, by spiggot an' pin!
It's waur than a sin
To flit when we're sitting sae happy, Kate.

Sweet Virginia
I couldn't tell
The weight of the world
was on your shoulders
Couldn't tell you were unhappy,
you were unwell
I go along like nothing is wrong
no need to worry
Too late to feel sorrow
upon borrowed time
Then now there's no answers
no easy way out
take it all if you want
take it all if you want
if you know how to run
Sweet Virginia, you should run
if you know how to play
Sweet Virginia, you should play
if you know how to say
Sweet Virginia, you should say
if you know how to be
be without me, you should be
you should be
I couldn't see
it seems I don't learn or get the message
don't know you you carry it all by yourself
How can it be
it doesn't belong, it's so not funny
this vintage of violence again on parade
and now there's no wonder
no shelter from shame
be alone if you want
be alone if you want
if you know how to run
Sweet Virginia, you should run
if you know how to play
Sweet Virginia, you should play
if you know how to say
Sweet Virginia, you should say
if you know how to be
be without me, you should be
you should be

It is in Virginia and Georgia that the war now rages and where it will continue; for at these points - Richmond and Atlanta - the enemy's main strength is concentrated.

Baby Kate
Kate closes the door
falls to her bedroom floor
kate cant even stand
the results in her hand
Kate closes her eyes
sees happiness she tries
to see a new world
but theres a worried girl
A girl stood staring
showing concern, caring
her heart is broken
looks up her eyes open
Kate picks herself up
a nightmare kate is shook
sees her reflection
then she asks a question
Can i get through this?
it was also her whish
can this pain be gone?
but kate doesnt respond
Puts on her lipstick
she had been feeling sick
so she took the test
kates chronicaly depressed
Posative results
kate took many insults
through out her life time
now isnt the right time
A jobs on the way
to give kate better pay
but kate can not work
it is over for her
Kate sits in her room
mayby a baby soon
kates next door neighber
kates neighbers in laber
Kates neighbers baby
is so small its crazy
the test was posative
kate never had a kid
Kate only whishes
that she could have a kid
that she could just live
kates test was posative
Just a simple smear
cancer and it was clear
kate didnt want
anyone to hear
The neighbers baby
came home it was crazy
police were everywhere
ambulances were there
At exacly seven
kate went to heaven
but for what its worth
a new baby girl
named after kate
came down to earth
and when kate went to heaven
baby kate was born
at exacly seven.

Virginia
(jesse valenzuela)
Its like trying to light a cigarette
When the matches you got are soaking wet
Tallest buildings they got are bound to fall
When its coming down like a wrecking ball
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Virginia
Its everything thats cool rolled into one
Everything thats not is left alone
You can hear it ring from near and far
You can hear it scream like a fire alarm
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Virginia
Sometimes it sounds like shes been crying
But when she lights, this whole dump is...
Its everything thats cool rolled into one
Everything thats not is left alone
You can hear it ring from near and far
You can hear it scream like a fire alarm
Slow down, virginia...

Night Trip To Eastern Shore
diesel roars inching its way
across 21 miles of bridges,
tunnels to eastern shore
wind blowing; i can feel
slapping waves on columns
embedded deep; sea bottom
strumming guitar; melody
flowing from backseat; bus
as we enjoy refreshments
in darkening soft twilight
i'm picturing where i'll be
somewhere ashore chincoteaque
eastern shore of virginia
across chesapeake bay from
virginia beach, virginia.

All 6 Virginia Presidents Were Slaveholders
The 2008 election wiped out some ancient karma as Virginia
voted for an African American for President of the US.
Every one of Virginia's 6 presidents was a slaveholder
(Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Tyler, Taylor) while the
New Jersey resident Woodrow Wilson (claimed by Virginia
because he was born there) frequently ridiculed African Americans
publicly as president of Princeton and would later as president
ban African Americans from federal jobs, though Harrison,
McKinley, Roosevelt and others had appointed blacks.
Virginia fought with the South in the Civil War.
Virginia likes to claim
Wm Henry Harrison but he was a resident of Ohio
when elected. Virginia, home of the CIA and Pentagon, still hunting
foxes though Britain has outlawed traditional fox hunting,
has often been 2nd only to Texas in executions, with
3 to 4 times as many blacks as whites on death row
executed.
1) George Washington
2) Thomas Jefferson
3) James Madison
4) James Monroe
5) John Tyler
6) Zachary Taylor
7) Woodrow Wilson
Virginia has not had a president since 1850.
