The intrinsic decorative urge should not be eradicated. It is one of humankind's deep-rooted, primordial urges. Primitive people decorated their implements and cult objects with a desire to beautify and enhance; it is a sense emanating from the urge for perfection and creative accomplishment.

To relieve the urge is the urge.
You feel relieved
when the urge to eat is met.
You feel relieved
When the urge to drink is met.
The same relief you get,
When the urge to purge out
And the urge to pee are met.
Releasing the urge is the pleasure.

The Urge To Merge
Written by Pam Reswick, Steve Werfel
Though I think I really know you
And you think you know me
And we're as close at two people
Could ever hope to be
Still I can't escape the feeling
That no matter what I do
I'll never understand what it feels like to be you
I get the urge to know you better
To make our spirits one
I want to see us be together
As close as we can come
I get the urge to merge
I get the urge to merge with you
I get the urge to merge
I get the urge to merge with you
Have you ever wanted something
You just had to possess
And it turned into obsession
And wouldn't let you rest
There are times I can't help wishing
I could melt right into you
Hear every word you're thinking
Feel everything you do
I feel trapped inside my body
And there's nothing I can do
Want to leap across the wall
That's keeping me from you
To break what can't be broken
To say what can't be spoken
If only for a moment
To touch your soul
I get the urge to know you better

Urges of lust
Sexual urge meets with the coitus.
Carnal urge meets with the bites.
Bio-urge meets with the impregnation.
Psycho-sex urge meets with the child-care
And socio-sex urge meets with self welfare.
Lust is the force behind.
Lust is the source for all forces.

Final solution implemented
I often feel the urge to kill
and just as often I resist.
I know for sure one day will.
These insane urges still persist.
I told my doctor how I feel.
He said that I must learn to deal
When such urges bother me
that they are only fantasy.
Just yesterday I nearly killed.
My life dream almost fulfilled
But some last shred of decency.
Intervened and prevented me.
The lady was so beautiful
her swan like neck so round and full
Oh Lord the woman tempted me.
I could have killed her easily.
The only way to satisfy
my urge to kill: Someone must die,
make fantasy reality.
the one solution I can see
from which I can no longer hide.
My last resort is suicide.
No one else should have to die
My killing urge to satisfy.
I will depart with dignity
and not all reluctantly.
I’ll overdose, die quietly.
My problems solved permanently.

In every thing
In every rock, mineral, sand, wild animal, flower and tree
There’s a urge to be free, planted in from primordial times
Under the earth’s crust in granite, basalt, any instance
there’s a build in resistance, from primordial times.
In drops in any water stream
you cannot bridle the inert scream, from primordial times.
to be part of the clouds, the sea, to them to draw near
without any confinement or fear, from primordial times
Every antelope, bird of prey or wild animal
every lion, tiger and mammal, seeks liberty form primordial times.
in grass, the restless wind that blows wild
there are hope and trust like that of a child, from primordial times
Strydom, to where do you want to flee,
for a free existence? You are planted in this country from primordial times.

Uncontrollable Urge
Got an urge got a surge
And its out of control
Got an urge I wanna purge
cause Im losing control
Uncontrollable urge
I wanna tell you all about it
Uncontrollable urge
Makes me scream and shout it
Its got style its got class
So strong I cant let it pass
I gotta tell you all about it
I gotta scream and shout it
And I say yeah

Urge For Going
Urge For Going
I awoke today and found the frost perched on the town
It hovered in a frozen sky, then it gobbled summer down
When the sun turns traitor cold
and shivering trees are standing in a naked row
I get the urge for going but I never seem to go
I get the urge for going
When the meadow grass is turning brown
Summertime is falling down and winter is closing in
I had me a man in summertime
He had summer-colored skin
And not another girl in town
My darling's heart could win
But when the leaves fell trembling down
Bully winds did rub their faces in the snow
He got the urge for going And I had to let him go
He got the urge for going
When the meadow grass was turning brown
Summertime was falling down and winter was closing in
The warriors of winter they gave a cold triumphant shout
And all that stays is dying and all that lives is getting out
See the geese in chevron flight flapping and racing on before the snow
They've got the urge for going, they've got the wings to go
They get the urge for going
When the meadow grass is turning brown
Summertime is falling down and winter is closing in
I'll ply the fire with kindling and pull the blankets to my chin
and I'll the vagrant winter out and bolt my wandering in
I'd like to call back summertime and have her stay jut another month or so
She's got the urge for going and I guess she'll have to go
And she get the urge for going when meadow grass is turning brown
All her empires are falling down
winter's closing in

The Urge For Going

Frozen trees were standing in a lonely row
I get the urge for going but I never seem to go
And I get the urge for going when the meadow grass is turning brown
And summertime is falling down and winter's moving in
I had a love in summertime with summer-colored skin
And not another one in town my darling's heart could win

And bully winds did rub their noses in the snow
She got the urge for going and I had to let her go

I'll ply the fire with kindling and pull the blankets to my chin
I'll lock the vagrant winter out and bolt my wandering in
I'd like to call back summertime
And ask her just to stay another month or so
But she got the urge for going
I guess she'll have to go

They Say No One Can
there is an urge
inside me
to let something out
and free
it so i can breathe
a little and
live fully
alive
i want to see
your face
i need it
for me to become
who i am
but there is another
landscape in my
heart
that opens a path
logically i do not
want it
but my feet are already
there
treading upon
its grass
so green and fresh
so lovely
and airy
and much to my
desire for lust
i hold you with
finality and then
leave you
there is this urge
that the mind
cannot control and which
the heart is
really fond of
this is the one
that i want to understand for now
i wish i dislike it
but i can't
they say
no one can
and that is what
old literature
has been
declaring

Desire is not dispensed with
Objects clung to, are replaced.
Clinging continues.
Women lusted for, are replaced.
Lusting continues.
Loved and hated are replaced.
Love and hate stays.
Objects only change, not the urge.

Dance Nocturne
Dance Nocturne
August night is an abyss hotter than the day
and the wind that blows was born in hell.
From open windows and their dark interiors
the primal scream of lovemaking,
wriggling bodies trying to produce a child
that like them soon will die, but first it has to
go to the ritual called love, which is but a primitive
urge to copulate the planting of a seed before
sinking back underground, spent, forgotten in
mass graves of boredom, decorated with flowers
that radiates deaths to come.
The Tasmanian tiger howls to the moon and
forever vanishes into an ancient forest while werewolves
sway to a Mexican dirge.

The Night Of Pleasure.
I was floating so high,
high on the clouds,
clouds that were drifting,
drifting higher with the urge,
the urge which was burning,
burning was my desire,
desire and the temptation,
temptation of loving you.
you were so appealing,
appealing was your look,
your look and your smile,
your smile and your touch,
touch of the lovely bliss,
bliss of the love kiss,
kiss of passion,
passion which gripped,
gripped us together,
together when we flowed,
flowed and curled,
curled whole night,
night of divine pleasures,
pleasures to treasure,
treasure of dark,
dark and deep desire,
desire of love,
to love and to be loved.
Sexual attraction, defined
What is sexual attraction?
Man tip gets gametes
Which have the halved chromosomes
And the opposite too have likewise.
Unless they join each other,
The two halves can’t be the whole.
Hence, both tips are desperate
To come in contact with.
Their urge is equaling to the urge to live.

No, I think that a person writes a poem because they have an inner urge of something that they want to express, and I think it's that inner urge that you want to express when you write a piece of music.
